So i was playing with my phone and i noticed that the facebook app changed for me is still 1.6.0 but it changed i have different options now and i didn't even update the app, am i the only one? it looks like the iphones verison now i have way more options and it looks a lot better.
Mine has been on 1.6.0 since it was available, but it is different from now and before. For better.

I updated to 1.6.0 already and it looks the same minus the new features added with 1.6.0 (video upload) Are you guys talking about the facebook for sense..? I didn't even notice if the stock FB app was pre-installed. I just installed from the market. I wanna say it was NOT..?
Yeah it wasn't. When I first got my 3D I went to activate Facebook and it wasn't there so I downloaded from the market

More changes. The like/comment buttons on the right side are now different. Wonder how they're pushing these changes. Too bad the phone didn't come with Facebook app or that would be a possible exploit.

I've searched around looking for an answer to this problem for a while, but can't find it anywhere.
I have the 3vo GSM and when I got it out of the box it had 3 audio choices in the music/video players. It had standard stereo, virtual Surround and HTC Virtual Surround sound.
I rooted my phone but decided to flash back the stock ROM. After flashing the ROM back, I lost the HTC surround sound option.
Is there a way to get it back? Would it be a simple apk or is it a file that needs to be flashed?

I'm a CDMA evo 3d user. As far as i remember it had :
1:No effects
2.SRS
3.Equalisers(headphones only)
And i think it is same for stock rom on gsm evo 3d...
Your Evo might had another ROM not stock one if you purchased from somewhere else.....
Have you restored a nandroid backup or downloaded a stock rom from somewhere?

I purchased it directly from Rogers, a cellular company in Canada.
I downloaded the stock Rogers ROM from a post in the GSM section here. For some reason I couldn't get my phone to make a nandroid, it would freeze up. Everything is there on the ROM I downloaded except the HTC Surround Sound.

Mine is a 3.0 ROM, stock. So it should have it. I don't feel like flashing a custom ROM on here again, cause it only gave me problems.
So, anyone have any idea how to get it back?
Did you see it when your headphones are plugged in or out? I would only see htc surround when my headphones are plugged in...

Nope, tried with headphones, it's still not there. I get the equalizer option and SRS Enhancement, but no HTC Surround Sound..
Any other ideas?
This option is only in videos played using the htc gallery/video player. Here's a screen shot of the option.

My video player only has the 2 default ones, SRS and No Audio Effects.
I liked the HTC one the most for some reason.

Have you checked under the battery to see if it had fell out? Also, there may be some chip creep going on, have you tried shaking the phone in a up and down motion with the head phones plugged in while browsing the gallery with a movie paused? This always worked for me!
Edit: forgot to mention you may have a blown sub, which is why your not seeing the 5.1 surround your talking about so it is defaulting back to stereo//

Hi all. I'm seriously of dumping the stock ROM for a modified one, but what bothers me is the 3D functions,like pics,vids,and games.

All Sense 3.0 and Sense 3.5 have 3D working, expect with Sense 3.5 3D games that use real 3D will not work. I'm running Mikrunny right now, works good for me, I can watch 3D and capture 3D.

I was tried using Mikrunny, but a little bit uncomfortable since it didn't came with a twitter + Facebook for HTC sense, do you think I can make the request for this to dev, mate? If the dev can provide it, I'll flash Mikrunny again, eh..

Yes it does, it has Twitter for HTC sense built in, and Facebook for HTC sense is integrated into the regular Facebook account setting on Sense 3.5

Are you sure? Last time when flashing Mikrunny I didn't find peep (twitter for HTC sense) and stream (Facebook for HTC sense), can we install the Apk manually?

They are both integrated into the friend stream app and widgets, I'm using them myself .

I'm currently on Mikrunny again and this is confirmed. I thought the same thing when I first flashed but noticed by contact list pics and friends stream worked fine. After you sign in with the account you use, it will authorize the HTC Sense services for the ones you use during that time as well.

I wonder why they didn't give us the Sense 4.0 with the upgrade?
They needed something to be "just" for HTC One series phones.
AFAIK, HTC sated that Sense 4 has a different style of usage and since people would have got used to the Sense 3 style and settings, they did not want the user experience to change a lot. Therefore what we got is some goodies of Sense 4 in the form of a new Sense 3.6 UI.

3d is a jar issue (java) from what I've heard, requires a java nerd to re-write, 4 g who cares, minor speed boost, never really found a difference between 3g and 4g when is was running stock rom, I will only use sense 4 on my evo, it's just so nice compared to 3.6 , shortcuts, text sizing, benefits of overall preformance out ways no 3d and 4g

Umm, most roms aren't even Sense 4.0 yet. The official OTA to ICS didn't even update to sense 4.0.
Gsm phones have really no choice, Viper port, lucky I have my hands on a test rom that went dead before it was released, to bad because it's a solid rom.

I'm using the 8/9 Viper 3D 4.0 Rom right now. I installed in a few days ago and so far it has been fantastic. No bugs that I have noticed and all features work except for 3d and 4g which isn't a big deal for me anyways. Also the battery life has been solid so far compared to other 4.0 rom's I have tried.

Ya, the cdma version had reboot issue until today's release, but issue was minimal, been on it for a while, by far best with tweaks. Chubbz was awesome battery for a while, but w/o tweaks. You will enjoy.

Most sense 4 roms have been working for while now...the issues were 3d and 4g.

Op. I used Newts Sense 4.0 but I couldn't deal with not having 4g. Since the official release of ICS, I dropped Newts ROM and switched back to a 3.6 ROM (MeanRom 2.6).

Weird, I would get 4G on Sense 4 ROMs.
Only problems for me were 3D, TV out and Wifi Tethering.
