Data speed after radio update - Share results here - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

I just updated to 1.05.11.0606 and ran a before-and-after comparison to see what difference it made. For reference, I have a generally poor signal here (at home) and didn't expect much of an improvement, if any. In an attempt to rule out network load variables, I ran five tests using the Speedtest app before and after the update, all within about 20 minutes. Here are the results:

Although it appears that both up- and down-load speeds have increased, I'm a little hesitant to conclude it is because of the radio. There is a huge variance in results in both sets of data and not being a statistician, I'm not sure how to interpret them. Also of note, my ping actually went UP, which seems unusual considering the speeds improvements. Anyway, if anyone else want to share their results, it might be nice to have them all in one thread.

I live just outside of Washington dc and my speeds have dropped since the OTA update. Has this happened to anyone else? I have also updated my prl and profile with a reboot and no dice. First pic is before 2nd is after.

Your download results are not statistically significant at the 95% confidence level (nor even the 90% confidence level). This means that it's not unlikely enough that you'd get those results by random fluctuation in the observations.
Your upload results are, however, statistically significant. There's a probability of 0.0078 (0.78% chance) that you'd get those results by random chance.
So ultimately, we can conclude that the new radios at least don't hurt download speeds, and are likely to improve upload speeds.

Mine have dropped as well. I'm in Reno, NV. but I noticed that my wifi is worse as well. Is that connected to the radio as well? My wifi its usually between 10-12mbkps.

I can say that my speed went up but not by that much.
Before update i usually got around .30kb down and .10kb up

my results are about the same
yellow box are tests prior to the new firmware/radios. red box are tests after the flash.
BTW, I'm running MeanROM ICS 1.4 (OTA 1.22.651.3) and firmware 1.22.651.3
