I can't seem to download any paid apps. I keep getting the error: "An error occurred. Please try again." But I can download free apps just fine.
This started recently out of no where. I tried clearing the Play Store cache and Google framework and also tried re-installing Gapps, but still the same error.
Any idea why this is happening?

Hmm that's strange..
-Maybe try making sure your credit card is up to date or on file correctly.
-Or check your google wallet section and make sure everything looks correctly, like setting and so forth.
Just checked my visa and settings and everything is updated but I still can't buy apps.
Maybe I'll try a full wipe to see if that helps.

Is it prepaid? A bank card?
Are you low on funds (say...below $75)? Some financial institutions have funky pre-auth systems.
My bank at one time blocked all 1 - 3 dollar Internet Sales for me. They thought it was someone stealing my card and testing it.

Okay, you Ned to do the following:
1. Check all of your statements to ensure your billing information is the same as it is in the play store.
IE since I live in an apartment, sometimes the apartment number is placed on the first line, or there are other differences.
5 N Twentieth St. 512
5 N Twentieth St. #512
5 North Twentieth St.
#512
Etc...
All of these can cause issues.
Also, make sure your phone number and other information is typed in the EXACT way it is according to your Credit Card company.
3. Make sure you've entered the expiration date correctly, and make sure you've chosen the right security code that's on the back of the card....it will either be a 3 digit one, or a 4 digit one.

Try installing plan b on your device from the android market online. It will let you track it if it has data still on

Phone is still active. I've been installing apps on it remotly and been allowing then to I.stall paid apps so they they feel like keeping it. Due to a failed root attempt with odin a while back the phone has no recovery and hence no way to delete any user data. Factory data reset won't work until a new recovery is flashed. It's off right now but I keep calling it and it appears he turns it on every couple hours to mess with it. I have all info to be able to track it but the beat I've done is within 2500 feet. I need an apk that will remotly turn gps on to narrow the search. Can't wait till I find this guy im not happy about my wifes rights beinf violated like this. Thank you for anyone's help. Bounty stands as its cheaper than the deductible.

I 2nd the use of Plan B. It should be able to turn on the GPS automatically after it is installed, and you can restart the locate process through a text message to your phone.
Installed.....no email. I even texted locate like the instructions said. Nothing..

Try this: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.antivirus.trial&feature=more_from_developer . This trial version lasts long enough for you to be able to locate it (I suppose). Notice this feature: "Find your lost or stolen phone and locate it on a map" . It should help you.
Is there any options for if they happened to change to Google account linked to the phone?

Yeah no go man. I know who it is name DOB. My wife works at a blood bank that pays out to donors she gets her car broken into. I traced the phone to a local town ten minutes away. Got it down to an address. Then at 700 am lost find finder sends me the same gps location as the night before. Same place but this time not in the yard the dot on the map is right on the house. 704 I'm in the car. Arrive to find an empty sqwat house for doing dope. Show pictures of people who we googled from that street that had mugshots from previous arrests to the curious neighbors. The point out one picture as a guy who used to live there. Said he comes at night still and gets high. Ok now I'm interested in this dude. Was told by a niegbor check some apartments on the other side of town. Get there and ask around to people leaving to work. Find a guy who says yeah they're always in apartment x... Then same gentleman tells us his car was broken into same way samething grab the purse walk away grab wallet out of purse and anything looks good and drop the purse in a bust ten feet away. Check records at wufes work same guy donated same time phone was stolen. He finished donating at 240 at 250 on camera you can see them breaking into the car at her work with just there back to the camera. No face shots. Go figure police are worthless. They don't even want the address we gps located. I'm close to this guy I tell ya. I'm gonna find him recovered phone or not and get ours . Just still trying to track the phone out.

nope, i check it for the free app every morning. Did you load it with a fresh download APK or from one that already had? I have had issues in the past where it was buggy or just woulding work right when I installed from a previously downloaded version on my SD card. Have amazon send you the link to your phone for a fresh DL if you havnt already yanked and reinstalled.

ok, problem solved! I had never unregistered any of my previous devices, and every custom rom I ever installed on any device counted as a new device. Max devices appears to be around 20.
No i dont think there is a limit on the number of devices you can use.

Thanks for the tip. I had 9 devices registered even though I only have 2. All of the others were the various ROMs I had installed on my previously sold Infuse.
Interesting, where did you find this feature? I'm sure I'm teetering on the edge with all my flashing.

It seems the only way to get around the small font in apps like this is to change the dpi meetings of your phone which will require rooting.

I can't purchase any apps, it never authorizes the payment. I've tried removing the current credit card and adding a new one, but that didn't work.
Just got off the phone with Google and they can't figure it out.
If I use my old gmail account, the purchase goes through instantly.
Using shostock2 at the moment, but I've used different roms and it doesn't make a difference.
Anyone have any idea, this is really frustrating me.
Check that you don't have any expired credit cards in your google wallet. AoN

It won't. Have u tried clearing Market data and rebooting? Have h tried purchasing the app from the website to see if it goes through?

Had that same issue cleared data for the market and I believe Google framework services and it was fixed.
I had the same issue recently... only thing that worked for me was full wipe and re flash good luck

Well normally its from someone messing with the DPI and then going "hero derp ! Iz brokez ma phonez! " but in this guys case I don't think that's the problem. Maybe clearing Google framework, market, /cache and dalvik. That is what I'd try anyway.

I've cleared everything multiple times and can't get it to work.
I have 2 google accounts, and if I switch to the 2nd one a purchase will go through instantly. If I switch back, it fails.
Waiting to here back from google and hopefully they can fix it.

Good luck with this - sure seems like you've done everything on your end to fix it. Have to admit I'm curious why you have two accounts with the same credit card. Why not just consistently use the one that works?

I kid, I kid... <-- get it I kid.... never mind slow day at work I guess.
I stopped using Amazons App Store when I found out they stole the name from Apple. Actually it was when all the free apps turned lame..
No doubt about the lame part. They used to have utilities and stuff (functional stuff that is). Now it is almost all crappy games with privacy concerns and horrific ratings. Every once in a while a decent game is listed, but not very often. There was a run on to-do lists. 'Cause having 50 to-do lists is pretty efficient right?
The game installs fine from Play Store, but while trying to download the game data, it shows an error- 5002. I've tried reinstalling, clearing caches and different ROMs with no luck. EA support isn't much help. Have 1.9GB free space on CM10.
Anyone else have this issue or have any suggestions?

I get this with all sorts of things. Dead space for example does the same thing to me. The error is that is is not available in your country. I end up buying the game and sourcing the data elsewhere.
