hi, i have just recently got another galaxy s2 after nicely cracking the screen on my old one :S the stats are as follows
galaxy s2
4.0.3
i9100xxlps
3.0.1519100xwlp7sl340913
i downloaded and flashed the closest kernal which was xxlp6 and now it seems stuck in the start up screen, odin flashes it successfully and it starts to reboot but all i have on screen is samsung galaxys11 with yellow triangle and it just hangs there and won't go any further, i've left if for almost an hour now, i followed the instructions to the letter so i don't know whats gone wrong, i have found and downloaded the speedmod kernal and tried to flash that over using odin, again it says successfull but will not go past the loading screen, please help i don't know what to do or what i could have possibly done wrong
thanks in advance, emma
If you can enter Recovery Mode, wipe data from it.
Try removing battery for 5-10 mins and put it back in and try.
Again try recovery mode also..
Cheers

What you should do is try get into recovery (vol up+home+power) and wipe cache and data reset then reboot. If that doesn't work or you can't get into recovery then go into download mode, flash stock firmware and then use a kernel like siyah or fluxi that work on i9100 and give you root wit cwm recovery.

I recently tried to flash myth's ROM on my Galaxy Ace. After flashing was completed, I rebooted the phone but it was stuck on the very first boot screen that has SAMSUNG and www.samsung.com written under it. I can't access recovery but I can access download. I tried reflashing CWM, I get PASS in ODIN but still can't boot into recovery. Any ideas?
Press the following buttons
Power key+home key
Kudos you reached to recovery

Just try to flash a stock rom with odin & see what happens
U have 2 hold power & home untill it reboots & u see green triangle in top left corner instead of a blue 1 on screen that says samsung galaxy ace n fills screen sum roms at least hope this helps.
"WebzyAce"
I know how to get into recovery. But for some reason, the phone won't even let me go into recovery. It's stuck at the bootlogo. Gonna try flashing through odin...
I've had my phone rooted for about a year. Recently flashed Rootboox 3.8 ROM and GApps and all was working great. An update notification told me there was a 3.9 available. It auto downloaded and auto-updated, but Play Store told me it was not installed. I reflashed GApps and after reboot I kept getting a message over and over saying Setup.exe has stopped working. I had to force power off the phone. Rootbox had removed my Reboot options (recovery, etc) before any of these issues started. I had to do the Home button, Vol Down, Power button start and I get the ODIN downloading screen. I chose PDA and reflashed my recovery ROM and it says PASSED and the phone reboots, but straight after the Samsung Galaxy S2 and yellow triangle screen it goes to a black screen and does nothing more.
I have been reflashing CWM, Siyah and jeboo kernels in a frantic effort to get my phone working again, but I cannot get past where I am. So yes, I can boot to the ODIN screen, but it is not helping me get the phone working again. Any help would be incredibly appreciated. The phone is an international Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-i9100
So they all pass in odin?
Flash lsj via odin, see if that works.
Of course, don't even think about flashing the pit file that comes with lsj package.

Hello,
My galaxy tab 10.1 P7510 is dead.
I used ODIN to put stock 4.0.4 (P7510UELPL) on it.
Everything goes well and I get green PASS! icon.
Now my system reboots to the Battery logo. but stays stuck here.
I can hold power button/volume-down to go back to download mode or recovery mode. I did factory reset and wiped cache.
Still it goes to battery logo after reboot.
Is my battery dead or my whole tablet?
Thanks for any help

Reflash via odin, as long as you can get in recovery/download you're safe

I tried that several times with 4.0.4 USA. But no luck.
I am now downloading another region to see if it was the file that was the problem. Although it flashed ok.

OK. I tried several pc's win7 32 and 64-bit. No luck
several versions of ODIN. Noluck
I can boot in download mode. I restored several different versions of p7510 firmware.
Odin says everything is ok. "pass"
But once I reboot I get the samsung logo and immediately afterwards the 2inch battery logo in the middle of the screen and nothing else.
I can press the power button and go back to recovery/download mode but same error.
If I reboot and go to recovery and wipe data and reset it boot up to the logo with padlock icon on the bottom and nothing else.
Anyone seen this problem?
Same but no recovery
I have the same problem (stuck at boot screen). I can get to Odin mode but can't boot into recovery. When I choose it from the download menu instead of Odin mode, the tab just goes blank. I even used Odin to flash anew Recovery (CWM). No luck. Any ideas?
hey, i'm fairly new to androids and rooting, i was running a biftor rom and everything was going fine, from what i can remember ROM Manager asked me if i'd like to update some binary or something it said it would automatically reboot into CWM but when it rebooted it didn't load CWM instead it just got stuck on the boot screen with an exclamation mark, when i try and enter recovery mode i get the empty battery logo but the circle underneath the battery that usually spins around is froze, the phone has full charge as it's been on charge all night, i can still enter download mode, I've tried to reflash the recovery with 0din but i get more problems with odin getting stuck on 'setup connection' and 'nand write start' can someone give me some advice please? I'm on an S2 i9100 btw, thanks.

reflash the recovery via Odin??? or you mean you flashed a stock rom?
Reflash the ROM or flash back to stock Android via Odin

Above poster is correct, need to re flash a stock ROM via Odin.
Just needed to say here though, never use ROM manager on an i9100. It's a sure-fire way to screw things up or brick, as you unfortunately found out the hard way :/

Hi
So I've had my Samsung SIII for just over 18 months, and it's all worked fine etc. I've never rooted it or anything.
But this morning it will not boot up. When I try to switch it on the start up sequence happens, but it gets stuck on the flashing Samsung splash screen. If I turn it off it just restarts and ends up back on that screen. The only way to stop it is to take the battery out.
I've tried starting it in recovery mode (power+home button+vol up), but the standing, open android just flashes and I end up with the android lay down with the red exclamation mark from there. It then loops between the two androids and the Samsung SIII start up logo screen. I have tried to press the volume buttons whilst on the red exclamation mark screen but cannot get to anywhere from it.
However, it will load the download mode (power+home button+ vol down) just fine.
I have looked all over but most people encountering anything similar have rooted their devices, which I have not.
Also, last week I lost all of my contacts which were stored on the device (I don't know why) but that might have something to do with it.
I don't particularly want to hard reset the phone and lose everything, but if it's the only solution I will do.
Thanks.
In download mode is the product number shown or a blank?
If it shows i9300 then you have a good chance of flashing either a full stock rom or a rescue firmware (see general forum) using odin. You will need to factory reset in recovery afterward, but your data is almost certainly unrecoverable.
If the product number is blank then you have partial SDS and require a new motherboard.

Do has boomboomer said above but as a last resort before flashing back to stock or a rescue firmware if you flash PhilZ recovery in download mode with odin. You then have a Aroma option in PhilZ recovery to browse and copy phone files so you may be able to recover some data pictures etc.
Please read PhilZ thread >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201860 << and the special features thread about Aroma file manager in post #3
Please note use as a last resort to get your data back! and read everything! Also all this is presuming you can get into PhilZ recovery after flashing..
I'm having the same problem , been looking through lots of topics. When I switch on the phone it's not booting android guy lays on his back. Download mode and Android Recovery are in my range.
