Hi everyone,
I hope that I posted at the right place, sorry if not.
I am a Android fan user but there is one thing I envy from iOS is their Notification Center. I would like to explain. I like the status/notification bar of Android but, when a new notification's coming, I would like to see it without unlock my phone or pull-down the notification bar.
I know that there is a lot of widget, apps, services which able to see notifications on lockscreen but most of them show only an icon (widgetlocker, go locker, magiclocker, etc.) and few others show a "banner" (notifierpro, I use this one) or a popup (Popup Notifier, droid notify, etc.). Some on them don't work with all application, but "only" the most used like SMS, GMAIL, TWITTER.
My problem is I like the idea of "banners", in which we have the contact's name and the message itself inside the banner for sms (for exemple). But we only have one banner while iOS (and its notification center) can show multiple banners on the screen when it is locked.
I found that HTC in Sense 4.0 blended this kinid of "banners" on the lockscreen.
I really look for this kind of application and I found nothing. Finally, I decided to develop it by myself for my Ray... Huge mistake I'm not a developper and I forgot the idea, too hard. I use pattern security, and it was really hard to find a way to ativate the screen then the slider with banners, then the pattern lockscreen.
This is the reason why I post here. Someone know how to develop this application/widget? Or do you know someone who did it and didn't put it on the play store? Someone could find this idea really great p) and could begin the dev...
Thanks

I don't know if you had used MIUI, it can achive that you have mentioned.
English poor, don't complain for this,
I confirm that,MIUI can do this work without unlocking the phone..or Rayonium can do it too
Hi,
Indeed, your right, both of them use this kind of banners (great jobs) but (I know, this is annoying, with all the possibilties of customizations, everyone, me first, wants his own UI) I really don't like MIUI and its iPhone style. For rayonium, same thing: I don't like Sony style (and I'm not sure I can install it on a locked BL). I use JJ's Hybrid Rom (really cool, light, smooth).
Do you know if it's possible to take this feature from MIUI or Rayonium and install it on an other ROM? Dream, dream, dream...

Well, you will have to port it somehow...
So you want a feature from iOS that they copied from Android on your Android device ? Are looking to break the universe ?
Hi,
On iOS, you have banners on the screen for every new notifications and you still have to unlock your phone with a security code. I never see this on Android... Or I'm in an other universe in which we can devide by 0
I really love the status bar that you can have access all the time but it's locked when you activate the security.
Maybe I should develop an application that turn the screen on for every new notifications and, at the same time, pull-down the notification bar by bypass the "block stuff when the phone is securised".
Lockscreen notifications
Hi.
Nicolas from Productigeeky here, creator of NotifierPro.
Our last app LockerPro Lockscreen does exactly what you are asking for.
There is a free lite version if you want.
It's only available for Android 4+ devices though.
Here is what it looks like :

This is a little personal project I created to replace Windows Mobile default Date plug-in. You probably don't need this if you are already using HTC Home, BatteryStatus, rlToday or similar time plug-ins. Anyway, I thought I do share it with you guys here as well.

Can i get you to make it with the time in between the day and date, The same sizes text. So it can all be on one line? Please. T M Z
(Tuesday 12:34pm 26 February,2008) or just to get all in one line what ever order. Thanks for looking.
I just put it on my phone LOVE it........
Thank you very much! It looks beautiful in Axim X51v.
By the way.. is there any way to avoid showing the seconds in the clock? I´d like to see only the hours and the minutes.
Anyway, it´s a great and very light application.
Super nice clock! Thank you for this GREAT CLOCK!!!!!!
I want this with the messaging icons (email, missed calls, text messages, and maybe a voice mail counter)
This looks great! I've been looking for a clock that included seconds.
Great Job, thanks!!!
Great Clock
Goodbye Htc Home.
I was using Sm Digital clock but I think this is better.
Thanks for this gift.
And don't assume people don't need it because they have htc home; I used it for months but got tired of the screen estate it occupies and considering that I have spb plus, the other tabs of htc home were just redundant (personal preference, I guess).
Keep up the good work.
nice job going to try it out
the ability to have a folder we can change the fonts on the go, and the color of the fonts wold be great. something like the HTC customizer they have...or would that work with this?
Hello pocket digital clock, goodbye htchome...
mobile shell 2.0 dominated my htchome.. i was just using it for the big clock, but thanks to this i can get rid of htchome... thanks ionized
This is a great, simple, low overhead clock app. Just what I have been looking for...
One thing:
Any possibility you can build a custom font for the popular SegoeUI TTF that is being implemented in a lot of the 6.1 ROMS?
Thanks again!!

I too would like this although I know it is much to ask for. Maybe theres a separate program that could be used in conjunction with this that shows the counters?
Wow. I didn't expect this much replies. Thanks for all the support.
As for those who wish for more specific arrangements and functions, I would recommend rlToday, which is extremely customizable. But of course, customizability comes with higher overheads. At this point in time, I do not have plans to formulate too many designs. I'm afraid there will be no further updates unless there is a critical bug.
brock1909, initially, I made this program with a folder of its own and with the ability to change fonts on-the-go. Unfortunately, there is a well-known Windows Mobile bug that lets registered fonts outside the Windows folder take over fonts in other non-related programs. The same thing happens if you place fonts under the \Windows\Fonts\ directory. It was discussed in the forums of phoneAlarm and rlToday where custom fonts are often used with skins. Eventually, I had no choice but to adopt the current design.
By the way, font color will change based on your Today Theme.
As for Segoe UI font request, I'll make this an exceptional case since I like the font as well. However, because I do not know what are the legal implications of using such copyrighted materials, I will not place them on my custom font page.
P.S. Segoe UI is optimized for ClearType. It won't look good if ClearType is disabled.

What hoof said. Is there a messaging today plugin that I'm unaware of?
P.S. Awesome work on the clock. I'm loving it.
Congratulations Ionizes... Fantastic, Usefull!!!
I'm reposting this from another thread I was in, but I wanted some general thoughts from the community.
One thing I think that iPhone does better is the lockscreen. I know Apple stole the notification bar from Android, but they do a better job with the lockscreen.
I can't figure out why Android won't put more information on the lockscreen. Info like text messages, who called me when (missed calles), email.
I used an app on the iPhone that was nice, the Lockinfo program. It required a jailbreak, but it was cool. http://www.lockinfo.net/ It was really nice.
I've tried a few alternatives in Android, but nothing seems to work quite as smooth. I've tried widget locker + pure messanger. Wasn't a smooth experience.
Thoughts?
I actually find the iPhone lockscreen to be quite cluttered. I recently came from an iPhone to a Nexus S i9020a and loving ICS so far and the great community.
I still have my iPhone but I've had times where I would get multiple notifications on the lockscreen and the entire screen is filled with clutter. First there's the date and clock area, then you got the bottom slide, then the middle gets filled with notifications. I find it bothersome actually. I much prefer the lockscreens on Android and Windows Phone.
I guess I enjoy seeing my background more than who called or contacted me. I can see that when I go into the app itself.
I guess its a personal preference to what you would like in the lock screen. However all your notification do appear in the notification bar.
Try MiLocker
Actually, Android has a much larger variety of what you can have on your lockscreen. I've had simple setups that just show missed calls and texts. I have my current setup that shows missed calls, texts, new emails, and allows me to go directly to those as well as music, camera, and home screen from the unlock slider.
If you run MIUI you can also run a setup that not only shows current status updates but also gives you a preview of the most recent. Take a look: http://gadgetdesire.blogspot.com/2011/12/miui-theme-slidescreen-ls.html
Bottom line is you can have as few or as many updates as you like on Android, just a matter of your preferences.
And if you want something simple to use with android search the web for txtmissed. Great app, just no longer under development.
TXTmissed on my old Widget Locker Screen. Takes you directly to calls log or default text service:

totally agreed. it would be nice to have a pop-up on LS when i have a missing call or a text.
MIUI rom will show you how android does with the lockcscreen, its never been better
Seconding MiLocker here. Didn't want full blown MIUI but the lock screen choices are pretty ridiculous in number. Been happy with it and it seems to be fully customizable.
you can use widget locker i think
i find it not enough configurable... i want to see my coming sms.
Maybe give GO Locker a try
Go Locker needs Go Laucher to work. Sadly
Right now am waiting till @taaviu will fix screen issue for NeoV and I will install MIUI rom, but it doesn't seem to be easy for him, so I have to use something and it's stock rom, I like it more than CM7, better dialer and sms app
Back to the main point, I do not have much free time, but I wanna make MIUI theme. Not sure if it would be miui based on gingerbread (like my MIUI for CM7) or ics (miuiv4), but I know it will take a while, so I think that with your help we could make this theme faster.
I look for people that have some knowledge (I do not want to explain I wanna discuss about ideas) and they already made few themes, I wanna take care of framework and systemui, someone else could help with dialer, contacts, sms and maybe help with frame.
It would be open source and there would be one condition: I will share files to work with (files that has been cut off from SE generic frame)
I know there is not many stock rom users, but it's worth to try

Like to help, tell me what needs to be done.Good Miui theme is something very much needed for the stock rom.I don't have much experience with modding android yet,but I did lot of graphics and script modding for Sony Ericsson W810,W595.So grasping the concepts and starting won't be that hard
I can help with Design, buy my english is very bad, you'll need to be very patient LOL

The problem is I got bored of pure MIUI, I wanna make some miui THEME TO USE TRANSPARENT STATUSBAR THAT WOULD FIT TO MY CURRENT MIUI LAUNCHER, sorry for the capslock it was on (too lazy to rewrite it )
Anyway I wanna make MIUI theme, but am still looking for some inspiration.
A lot to do, but I started with frame and systemui:

I have to make second statusbar BG less transparent, remove small date and put something else..
Universal sms popup (All roms)
Here's a modified apk (Megagram smspopup) works for a good sms notification. Great thing about it is the application calls for no images so no worry's of compatibility with mdpi/hdmi etc etc. (You can easily mod the font color/background color to w/e)

In my opinion data would look better if it will be "10 luty 2012" - sorry

I can not put any links, because as you see I have not enough posts [Member since 2009] Colour good, maybe something with a little texture? in the network are such interesting wallpapers, maybe puts something in the priv...
@Leftman-X I know there is many interesting stuff over the Internet, but I must mention it's one global bg for settings, dialer, sms conversation, etc, so knowing it the circle gets smaller I base on MIUI Official Drak Theme.
I have 2 propositions about background, but leave your original now. Maybe later i will send you what i have...
I guess am done with SMS app, I will not theme dialer, cause it's better to use exDialer
Frame 90%, SystemUI 95%
Here is SMS app for testers:
Info:
Almost full self depended , but it still takes stuff from frame(I cannot redirect it to app :/)
Download: http://www59.zippyshare.com/v/77819164/file.html
Test it, tell me what you think and share screens from your phones.

tbh I do not know how original miui looks,so after seeing some sshots in devart and here I made it.Hope it matches.

MOD/Tweak I have been trying to search for and no one has done it yet.
Is there a way to UNGROUP the notifications. Here's Why
If you get a message, it will show in the notification bar the sender and the preview. However if you receive 2 messages, it will only show 2 MESSAGES, and you wont know from whom nor see the preview untill you open that notification.
Same as Missed calls, same as so many others apps.
So, my question is, IS THERE A WAY TO UNGROUP NOTIFICATIONS? Mod/Tweak?
Thank you,
B
would realy love to get an answer to this question...
on RR v7 galaxy note
Have you tried go sms ? It have lots of customization

Okay, so that's emails but you get the picture. Assuming you've still got your HD2, I rather fancy your chances of getting Jelly Bean on there sooner rather than later
jellybean makes this better but its still not the best solution for everyone, i for example react to some missed calls when i see them and to others after one day, so it would be perfect for me if there was a notification for every evet, and those would not be dismissed by entering the associated app but only when i click on them... so a solution that can do something like that would be very appreciated.

Then you would have tons of notifications filling your notification tray.
Sent from my MB508 using xda premium
for me it would be about 10 - 15 each day, and preferably such a feature would be optional, i can understand that most people may not want it
Has this been implemented yet?
Coming from an iPhone to Android, I understand that grouping is a 'good' feature - but if everyone raves about how customizable Android is, I don't understand why this setting can't be changed.
Bringing this back from the dead! Is there finally an option for this? I'm running LP PAC-ROM CM12.1 base.
It's 2019; still wanting to ungroup notifications
4 years later, but I'm still hoping for this!
I don't like going into my inbox; I use my notification drawer as a catch-all "to-do list". I like keeping it clean, so I address each message individually using the quick action buttons. But when grouped, those buttons are no longer "quick" - you gotta expand the group, expand the notification, and then tap the button. It's also too easy to accidentally swipe the whole group away!
Since I prefer the drawer to be an accurate representation of what I have yet to address, I know that this could mean "having a ton of notifications building up in your drawer". And I'm okay with that! If I have a ton of unaddressed emails, then having a ton of unaddressed notifications is an accurate representation of what I have yet to address. My urge to clean out that drawer is much stronger than the urge to clean out my inbox, and I want to take advantage of that.
Anybody know of a hack?
Hey so i'm a die hard AOSP/AOKP user. but the roms running for this system are quite hard to get super stable because we don't have the source kernel to tinker with. So i thought i'd start a thread about some things i particularly like about AOSP and see if we can bring them to Sense and then maybe we can get some converters. (like me if we can get this right haha)
1. I like the AOSP lock screen i like the fact that i can have 7 different apps i can unlock to. As well as weather. is there anyway to get the AOSP/AOKP lock screen on. Or atleast be able to change the sense lock screen so the icons are something OTHER than what you have set on your rosie bottom bar.
2. toggle in notification windows. i'm a one handed user. So the quick settings just isnt cutting it. I'd like something that is smaller easier and faster as in on the main screen of the notification bar. Like CM9 or AOKP.
honestly after that i dont really have that many complaints. not sure if anyone has anything we'd like to add so maybe we can make a AOSP/AOKP -esqe Sense rom.
Sorry if this feels like a gripe. I think i'm just slightly tired of waiting for AOSP and hoping that a sense one can take its place with a few mods.

I just joined so I can't post links yet but for your points:
1. Try Widgetlocker out. It's not free but there's always the 15 minute refund window.
2. Widgetsoid allows you to put toggles in your notification tray. There's a free and paid version of this in the Play Store.
For the second request you could also check out "Power Controls".
I find that indispensable.
