Hey guys,
I've bought Modern Combat 3 from the Play Store.
Downloading the files and starting the Games works.
But it lags as hell (you think you are playing it on the first Android phone lol).
Anyone playing this game without stutter?
Specs:
Android 4.0.4 stock

My Modern Combat 3 is running absolutely fine. No lag at all over the month I've had it. Actually, the only Gameloft game I get minor lag on is The Amazing Spiderman.
I can't think why yours would be lagging though :/

maybe it's because of the kernel ( the kernel overclocks cpu+gpu)
I'll try the Advanced Stock Kernel and hope that it's getting better
Possibly yeah because my whole phone is completely stock on GB.

It really helped :,D game is running fine now.
I'll report my findings the developer, maybe he is able to fix this in the next versions

hello i have rooted optimus one (stock 2.3.3 V20B) .
I am trying to play HD games like asphalt 6,but its says "srry this video cannot be played" and then "force close",i have also tried samurai 2 and assasins creed but nothing works
So i read somewhere flashing new rom and kernel and overlocking may play these games.Is this right?
If so can anyone please suggest the best ROM/KERNEL for me.
Did you over clock it? I think you should get a rom with over clocking (I use openoptimus)and download an overclocking app like CPU masters (its free) to speed it up

Ummm.. I don't know who gave you that idea, but rooting will not help you play HD games. Also, Asphalt 6 is not supported by our phone. And even if you overclock it, you must understand that our phone is not a 1 GHz Nexus S, so some HD games will never work on P500. So if you try other games and they don't work, consider it as an unsupported game and don't post here about the installation failure.

I think the main reason that the HD game doesnt work is the small screen res we have now... We are only using HVGA, while those HD games are meant for something like WVGA or qHD...
I am playing GRave Defence HD and Fieldrunners HD without problems. But most HD games are not meant for our Optimus One. You'll have to accept that...

I have decided to flash custom rom and overlock

I have LG optimus p500 phone which came with Android 2.2 when I bought it. With this stock rom I was able to play all formats of videos very smoothly. I was able to play Ranging Thunder car race game. Later I upgraded Android 2.3 Cynogenmod 7. This time videos played smoothly in the default player but was playing very slow in the other players such Mobo player but the game Raging thunder was playing properly. Now I have upgraded to this ROM on ICS.

Now the videos are playing slowly and the colors in the Raging thunder game looks like x-rays (I am not sure if this is called Color banding problem), proper pictures are not appearing in the game.
I would be really great if someone could help in resolving this problem. I have attached the screen shots of the raging thunder game.

It's the same on all ICS roms for our O1. As stable as some of the ICS roms are, they still lack functionality in some aspects... and playing videos and hi-def games is one of them. You'll have to roll back to CM7 for better performance with videos and games.

Yes i did...
N its pretty known to everybody that ICS is still not stable enough for our phone without those crap OMX drivers... why open a new thread to report a bug thats well known to the devs n everyone else on p500 forum?
The OP knws the reason for his new-found bug n no one can do anything bout it...
As for Stock ROM is concerned, it can decode DivX n XviD codecs using H/W.. While Custom ROMs dont have the required codecs to render them in H/W...

Good question i just tried to install Nova3 on Foxhound 0.7 (XXDLIB)
I've got nova 3 and dead trigger on XXDLIB, but I'm on stock standard rom which has just been rooted. Both the games are working perfectly fine.
I've also used directory bind app and moved the data for these to have to external sd.
I've had no issues with either of those two games.

I'm not familiar with the directory bind app. What does it do?
this is the problem with custom roms.. they break compatibility with some apps.. thats why i swore to stay stock + rooted forever.. those games work perfectly on stock DLIB by the way..
directory bind is very helpful.. its in the themes and apps section of the SGS2.. i believe it was also posted in this section..

Omega isn't really a "custom" custom ROM. It's rooted, deodexed and zipalinged with a few REALLY really useful sprinkles here and there as far as I know. The rest is what we choose from Aroma. And I made sure I didn't change anything too much drastically. But all that apart, is there any huge game that universally works on all Sammy JB Builds and derivatives without issues?
those "useful sprinkles" often times cause some apps to break.. because it still changed something in the code..
and as far as "huge games" are concerned, here's a list of my games that are working in stock DLIB..

eternal legacy

shadowgun
mass effect

virtua tennis

Thanks for the list. The reason I asked was because I ran most of these games on both the leaked stock builds of JB as well as their Omega counterparts. This was the first time I came across this problem and hence the question.

its got nothing to do with being on a custom rom - I'm on omega v27 also - dead trigger, modern combat 3 and nova 3 all work perfectly fine for me.
All I can suggest is to reinstall them :/

I know most of the custom ROM's include the transparency bug fix for the user interface.
Perhaps that is causing it? Am on latest Omega and I don't think it was included with the list of patches, but it is in there.
(Yes got all excited thought the bug was fixed on LIB, but no, the patch was there and not on the list of modifications eek)
Sorry can't comment on the games more, ain't been playing much. Do have a few of those non reported to work ones but. I'll get back if I figure them out.

Hi. Im trying to play dungeon hunter 2 hd and the game keeps crashing about a video that cant be played @ startup.
I was trying to buy it from the gameloft shop but i cant because as it says my device is not supported by this game ..
Weird because i remember i was able to play it smooth before the ics update on my Xperia sola
is there any way to play it ? i want to play so bad but i cant find any way to fix the problem and im searching two days at google and xda forums but no luck , nothing works!

try chainfire 3d and reduce graphics
ICS uses a lot of memory on our phones. So games lag

yes i did play it on gb ..
i tried everything with chainfire 3d but nothing worked because the error is about a video cant be played at startup and the game crashes. it doesnt even start.
how can it be because of that when im able to play dungeon hunter 3 and nova 3 lag free

It has been confirm that Dungeon Hunter 2 will not work and never work on ICS. Just downgrade to GB to play it.

I think your ram is full so it makes the game laggy...remove bloatware that come with sony firmware...

He can install a CM9, that doesn't need an unlocked bootlader. Try Firedroid 1.4b, i'm using it and it's great, playing games on that ROM is almost totally lag-free, it only lags in Real Racing 3, but maybe it's because i have 2 billion applications installed
