REQ: modem_st1 and modem_st2 dumps - HTC Amaze 4G

Can someone dump these two partitions. I'm looking to experiment with them on a Sensation. I'm looking for the TMOUSA version.
From http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1545911
mmcblk0p25: 00400000 00000200 "modem_st1"
mmcblk0p26: 00400000 00000200 "modem_st2"
Thank you

Bump. Don't even think you need to be rooted. Just need terminal emulator from the market.
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p25 of=/sdcard/modem_st1.img
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p26 of=/sdcard/modem_st2.img
Then zip up for integrity and upload.
Thanks

I verified the mount points and the commands. I did it right. so I don't know what to tell you lol.

Thanks for your help. I wonder what's going on.

Anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

What are they anyway? What are they *SUPPOSED* to contain?

I am interested in trying them on my Sensation. Most likely won't work but it'd be something if it would give it hspa+21

Ah I see the problem here. mmcblk0p25 and mmcblk0p26 for the amaze is empty. the mdm_st1 and mdm_st2 partitions are found on mmcblk0p27 and mmcblk0p28 for the amaze.
I've attached the dumps, and they are NOT empty. Good luck.

Thank you. I will try to play around with them.
I need to verify the partitions of the modems on the Sensation. My st1 is 32kb, and st2 is 4mb. Seems both yours are 4mb. Hmm
I appreciate it

[HOWTO] Nookie Froyo for EMMC ***Very fast!***

Here is a set of images to get you Froyo on EMMC. Just DD the following images to their respective locations.
dd if=boot.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk1p1 ***in nooter***
dd if=system.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk1p5 ***in nooter***
dd if=boot.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1 ***in recovery***
dd if=system.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5 ***in recovery***
I recommend using nooter .02 with ssh as this has been verified to work correctly.
If you end up with a bootloop try wiping /data with "rm -r *", if this does not work restore back to stock prior to dd'ing these images.

http://serversave.us/android/data.rar ***not needed for functionality, if you get boot loops you might try and dd this image to your data partition...***

Thanks for the dd images, i think they are the only full proof way to install. what kernel are you running in the boot.img ?
Could a mod sticky this? It certainly seems the easiest way to install froyo yet!

Cool beans
I think im gonna try this out...
P.s. will you make more images as new versions come out?
Also is anything, like the market pre-installed?
does the image have the correct vold.fstab as per your manual guide, i can't get sdcard to mount??
Will this work on windows?
Is it required to have adb working? I had it working on linux before but for some reason it doesn't work anymore
Also would like to know if it comes with gaaps installed.
gApps please

It would be great if gApps was included, along with busybox, spareparts, and superuser.
Also interested in a way to do this from Windows.
Thanks
Oh man is Rapid share getting bad. First download had a 1 minute delay before the download started and the second one had a 7 minute delay before download started.
How often this gets updated depends on interest from other users... as of right now this baby is bare bones. I might do up a fully loaded image later today with gapps etc. Stay tuned!

A way to do this with windows would be great! I have ubuntu10.10 but I'm not familiar with linux and I don't want to mess something up.
If you can't do a windows version could you post a step by step walkthrough for linux?

well i only need the 10mb file one, the other i dont need =).
Following to
# cat /proc/mtd
dev: size erasesize name
mtd0: 13880000 00020000 "system"
mtd1: 00a00000 00020000 "appslog"
mtd2: 0e100000 00020000 "cache"
mtd3: 17c00000 00020000 "userdata"
mtd1.img is not the boot.img - therefore no ramdisk in it.
Does somebody have experience in building the own ramdisk? Or could anybody extract boot.img or ramdisk of the xperia play?
Thanks
I got the boot.img from the kernel.sin file, which was included in a ftf file for the xperia play. From the boot.img I extracted the ramdisk. With that ramdisk and my own compiled kernel I could make again a boot.img and flash it to the xperia play.
Here are the original boot.img and the extracted ramdisk

[SCRIPT]Ram Optimization Script

First:Credits to Juwe11
Check out this RAM Optimising Script.
I flashed this script and now my phone is a lot smoother. All the little things such as opening/closing keyboard, scrolling and switching between open apps is faster.Tested with Xgin 5.3
To use this script
1.You will need to have cwm recovery-available with minicm and xgin with dual recovery mode(afaik)
2.Download Juwe_RAM_Script-CWM.zip from last post of this page.
3.Flash in cwm recovery
Post your experience in this thread
Devs if you and everyone experiences better results, you should include this in roms
Could u create with xrecovery too? For kuyo rom
Sent from my X8 using Tapatalk
after i flash at cwm,how can i know does it works ?
anyway to check ?
i've tested it..nothing change...i dont see any difference..tried in xgin5.3
Sorry but i don't know how.
If devs find these useful, they might include this in their roms.
If you went to link the you can try the second method mentioned there.
Unpack Juwe_RAM_Script.zip ,copy the file into /system/etc/init.d/ using rootexplorer or like and restart. That should do it.
Just tested and can't see any changes really and quadrant score didn't change it just went from 1063 to 1065 :/

Look to /system/etc/init.d/ if there is file named S97ramscript
I think that there is wrong mountpoint in updater-script (X8 has different mountpoints)
Strange,it definitely helped me.
Keep an eye out ,try apps which used to lag before.

Right I manually installed it. Not really convinced it does a lot. Quadrant score went from 1065 to 1079. Not really a big enough difference to confirm that it works but it doesn't slow it down so you might as well flash :L

Yea I agree with that. Start up is much smoother than before.
I read somewhere that more memory is bad on an Android system. I mean they wrote that if you have low memory free, then the android cached what you will need = faster system. Am I right or wrong?

[Q] Get CPU Temperature from terminal

Hello,
could someone tell me in which file I can get the cpu temperatures from terminal/adb?
Thanks in advance
/sys/devices/platform/tegra_tmon/temp[12]_input looks like it.
Thanks for the answer, but when I tried to cat it (with and without su), it just gave me back a blank file (same with reading it in root explorer)
I forgot to mention that Im using MROM CM7, maybe its in a different path for this rom?

Oh, ok then, that might explain why no apps can get it for me either
Thanks for the answers ^^
I'm on MROM-CM7 as well. That is where I found these files. They might or might not be for CPU, I don't know. Notice also I'm talking about two files there.
Well, I got a blank file for both files, do they return anything for you?

Code:

3400
Although, I just remembered - while I'm on MROM, I am actually using a different kernel. Don't remember which, either CM7 or TopSmarts.
Oh, thanks, gonna try another kernel and check that ^^
