I use mountain lion GM and its working perfect, only the las t version from KIES is not working. Try to uninstall completely and install again.
If you guys is in a LAN environment you can try using mac fusion and a ssh server on your sgs3.
Download a ssh server like ( SSHDroidPro) on the play market.
Download mac fusion for your mac (http://macfusionapp.org/)
Then you can mount your sgs3's file partition as a volume on your mac. Works great for me .. as i no need to bring cables and the transfer is secure and easy.
I will chek it thanks

yes mountain lion gm here. not sure what is causing it yet.
Parallel desktop can see it on a virtual XP, but driver says it didn't install it correctly, switching to camera mode 'work-ish' but files are missing when browsing folders.
on mac:
When turning on MTP - dmesg shows that it connects
AppleUSBCDCACMData: Version number - 4.1.21, Input buffers 8, Output buffers 16
AppleUSBCDC: Version number - 4.1.21
Though no dice.
adb shell
error: device not found

Has LFB broken file transfer on MACs? I've tried MTP and PTP using Android file transfer but no luck.
Used to work fine on LF2 with the Android file transfer app.
Anyone else care to try it for me please?

MacBook pro running OSX lion, fresh install of android file transfer used mtp to transfer file to and from phone.:good:
Unfortunately I don't know a solution but I can definitely say you're not the only one with problem, people were reporting the same on another forum I visit.

Same here
Nothing at all. Macbook Pro 13" Lion 10.7.4. Android file transfer just sits at No Android Device Found.
Have any of you got kies installed? because ive just flashed back to LF6 and then back to LFB and MTP is working fine still.
Use AirDroid & transfer via web browser. Or use a FTP program & transfer via File Expert.

Had the same problem, but after I flashed francos kernel it works..
Wonder if Sammy changed something in this release. Really weird.

Yeah im running cm9, anyone out there not running stock that has an issue?
*Proof that Sammy has changed something in the kernel in LFB*
Flashed the LF2 kernel to determine if the kernel was the issue, and it was! With LF2 kernel and LFB ROM, everything is working perfectly fine again! PTP transfer using Android file transfer working great AND iSyncr Mac application that also uses PTP is also working fine. Wonder why Sammy has touched this.
Only worry is hope that using a older kernel with the newer ROM doesnt spring up any other issues?
Using MTP has never worked for me on the S2 or the S3 on Mac OS X 10.7.
Pre-LFB I got Android File Transfer to work by switching to the phone connection mode from MTP to PTP, but this doesn't work in LFB. Instead Image Capture automatically runs up when doing so (it recognises an S3 is connected, but shows no pictures to import).
I guess they changed/'fixed' something to do with PTP so the workaround doesn't work anymore.

My phone came with ALF2, MTP obviously never worked with Android File Transfer but if you switched to PTP it would work fine. I agree that they possibly have 'fixed' PTP and that is why us mac users are out of luck.
Been investigating but I need to find the time to look into it properly.
If anyone manages to find a working solution with LFB. Please post it

Have you tried a different computer or perhaps just a different USB port?
If it still doesn't work you can try using some form of wifi access to send files between your computer and prime. ES Files Explorer can see most windows shared drives.

Try a different USB port on your computer and try rebooting the PC. Otherwise you can try uninstalling the drivers from device manager.

Hmm...I'm not sure to be honest. I've only plugged mine into a computer once just to root it. I didn't even check to see if I could access it's memory. I have Win7 x64 home premium. You can try the thread in Dev about drivers and see if those will install.

I run windows 7 64 and when plugged into the USB port, I open the "Computer" windows explorer window, and my prime is listed at the bottom under "Other" I believe.
However I did have a problem when I first got it, but it wasn't from the prime. I had had trouble a while with my iphone connecting to USB and not opening my photos because of an MTP driver. Had a similar problem when I got my prime, googled it and found a solution on how to fix it for people with other USB devices, and I tried it, and my prime showed up and I decided to check my iphone and the only other USB device I had trouble with, and all of my device to USB problems were solved by fixing that MTP error message.

Try this:
With the prime connected to the PC usb, in Win7 goto control panel, administrator tools, computer management, drive manager. This will show all disk drives and their drive letters. The prime should be there but it might be conflicting with one of your other drive letters, change the primes drive letter to z and try to access z drive with file manager. Good luck.

I ended up using FTP server, but the downside is OSX cannot edit a FTP disk by default (and on El Capitan there is no third party system hack that does the job anyways).
Android file transfer won't recognise my HTC one running 4.3 when connected,I tried using it on Windows on the same Mac via boot camp and it works, it's just the Android file transfer which is not detecting the device it says"connect the device via the cable" well something like that. please help!

Same probe here on Mac OS X Mavericks. It was working fine on 4.2.2 and Mac OS X Lion.

Same here.
adb is still working fine over USB.
It doesn't seem to be an issue with 4.3 either. I also tested it with a Galaxy Note 3 and that's working just fine.
*bump*
Same Problem here, also running Mavericks. Never checked Mavericks w/ 4.2.2. Adb works just fine.

I just realised I cannot access file on 4.3 from Mavericks through Android File Transfer anymore, it was all fine with 4.2.2 on Mountain Lion... Yes, adb works fine. And on Windows it's fine.
