i have a question for you guys what i have not
do for to get a cell phone brick ?
i have read many threads and the only way for to get it is by using application rom manager thats right or i can get a brick cell phone in odin software.
what if by a mistake set files in a wrong order in odin software

WHY would you put the wrong files in ODIN, just read the tutorial and follow it correctly?
And to kinda answer the question, what've read is that ODIN will not brick you phone, you might be able to get a bootloop though (just reflash and it should work fine).
Read the newbie guide(sticky thread) about Rom manager, it should be supported now but be cautious, better to use CWM app instead, or just reboot your phone to CWM (dont be lazy).
People brick their phone when unlocking their phone, there should be a proper solution that works without having to brick you phone.

Ace break by rom manager
not know about odin if choose wrong files in wrong option as not tried yet but if i'm not wrong if you choose wrong files md5 sum not gonna correct so it shows error and not let you to flash if you choose wrong option

Okay, you know it but i would like to revive my phone.

But no result...
Sometimes i can access in the phone by usb, but odin doesn't recognize my phone.

I already beicked my phone in two week after buy cause that crap app
i not think it work on your phone well
may be its now supported or something thats why you use

Only way to get it fixed is by changing the mother board..experienced the same a few months ago..

I m also using galaxy ace but nothing seems to me like that, it is working properly for me.
i hav rooted my samsung galaxy s2 gt-i9100g to update it ICS through odin3 . but unfortunately in odin it came fail... so i disconnected it removed the battery and put it again and started restarting the phone but to my badluck there's dat symbol comin in the middle of the phone that is phone caution symbol and pc. i cant understand wat to do. i m a nooob so plz help me out i cant send it to warranty as well because i have rooted it wid custom rom. if there is a way for me to get it back to stock plz help me out!!!
ICS? are you sure the rom was for 'G' version only? Are you able to enter download mode?

The thing is i cant get it to download mode at all. whenever i try connecting it to my lappy i get that mobile,caution and pc symbom. i dont even know if it is charging also. so how can i get it into download mode?

that symbol means forced download mode so just get any stock rom and flash it for your i9100g.remember if you connect your moblie to pc when it is on and shows that symbol,odin will detect your phone and just flash stock rom.and be thankful that odin failed at flashing if it didnt you would have hard bricked your device.never try and flash i9100 roms on i9100g.and last thing there is NO ics update for i9100g.be careful when flashing roms,make sure that the rom you are flashing is for your device.

JUST flash any kernel! its very simple solution!,flash any kernel through odin (you dont need to go to download mode) i had the same problem and the same model
and got it fixed ! ,just flash any kernel through odin ,by clicking on pda and selecting kernel file ,and if it dosenot work then i think i will post link for official rom for i9100g
well i dont know what happened, but i rooted my glaxy s3 via qbking77 method that he describes in these forums. however, when i try to move a picture or a video that is mine from my pc to my phone, i get a message saying---do you want to copy the file? file may be copied but you may not be able to view or play it on your device.
i dont know what happened, but oh well...i rebooted the phone, its in usb debugging and all that..
my files are good, all my personal photos so i dont know what the problem is...
appreciate any assistance and thanks in advance..

Just simply click yes, it should work or check the extension of the files. There are some picture extensions that the phones don't recognise.

As their is no such method i believe on this forum .
But you could post a link to check for this root .
My big guess is that you are yet another in the wrong forum and do not have International I9300 phone .
If so firmware from here may brick your phone be warned .
Of course you may well have a I9300 but rooted with a method that is not for the phone .
So what phone have you and if its I9300 check the root method .

i do hit ok, and the files transfer, but when i go to the phone, nothings there and during the transfer i dont get a message on the
phone either like i used to when stuff transfered over, like it would say "transfer of such and such complete"...
it goes through the motions, but nothings on the phone

i doubt its the i9300 and that video said nothing about it having to be a i9300.
my phone is sph-L710 if thats what you need, dont see anywhere where it says
i9300. i have always used his methods when rooting prior phones and this one,
never had an issue till now. the phone is rooted, i have the superuser
in apps, i have a custom rom and other customizations.
just cant transfer anything over....

Lets make it simple you have L710 not a phone called the I9300.
This is not the Sprint L710 forum we know nothing about such a phone you would be better off in the Sprint L710 forum .

first enjoy ur new phone with 2.3.5 for a while, then u update ur phone to android V4.0.3 from 'KIES and stay on it for a while
after that u try to explore the possibilities of rooting and installing Custom Rom/Kernel etc ma8
its a sincere advice for a new member ma8 u can take it or live it though

Hello guys, i have just sold my iphone and bought my galaxy S3 GT-i9300 16 gigabytes, played with it a little bit and now i wannt to ROOT it, i heard about custom ROMs, i dont wanna change my software i just want root access (baby steps) to install adBlocker, titanium backup, ps3 wireless cotrolling etc.. Is there anyway to do that whitout instaling a custom software? I am on 4.1.2 build number XXELL4

Download ODIN
Download CF-Root for SGS3 v6.4
Unzip folder and Open ODIN
Put phone into Download Mode
Connect Phone to Computer
Click PDA and select the CFROOT file
Press Flash and Voila
Rooting the device and installing a custom ROM are in no way related. You may install a ROM when you wish to do so.
Regarding rooting, there are numerous methods, though I suggest mskip's Toolkit(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703488). The simplest and most efficient solution.
Its really a question of reading the faqs and guides until you understand .
The risks of a brick or a problem are then almost non existent .
Read first flash last .
