Can I flash custom kernel by only using my phone? And not computer and cmd?
Sent from my ST15i using xda app-developers app
No. Using fastboot is the only way, which needs pc.

You can use the Search function by yourself and/or look for it in Xperia S section.
And no, it is not possible on our phones because kernels are placed on separate partition that is not accessible via phone's OS.

Here's the system files of the new arc firmware (3.0.1.A.145).
Just thought I would make it available for anyone who might wanted to use it for custom firmware cooking or app hacking for the X10's.

This is not the flashable version, only the system dump. So its not relevant for ports.

It CAN be ported. These files is for porting. So a dev just have to implement them in their port. In the next TripNarc these files will be used.
But you can't flash an Xperia arc firmware on to a Xperia X10, that's plain logic.

Yes that was to the ftf file for flashtool, which is for the arc.
I've never said it wasn't for ports. Only that the ftf isn't relavant for ports as its for flashtool to flash arc's

Trying to install CM7.2.0 FXP117 - I can't seem to find a kernel for it (only the kernel.sin that comes with it, however I can't flash a .sin).
I've been reading that I need FXP113 Kernel, but that's nowhere to be found!
I tried figuring out ADB / Fastboot options to flash the kernel manually, but I couldn't get it to start in fastboot.
Using an X10a (AT&T as carrier) + unlocked bootloader.
Any help (or even a recommendation for a stable ROM/Kernel) is appreciated!

Once you have unlocked ur bootloader all you need to do is flash a pre-rooted kernel(maximum are pre-rooted) and then flash any ROM made for the kernel
Best Regards,
AJ
Just flash any custom kernel then u can use doomlords rooting toolkit for ics or gb..
Depends on your current rom..

That is very helpful.
We can only help you if you try to help yourself, so do not spare details.
Post version of your ROM and a link to the thread you you got the MOD from, or at least the file you have flashed or copied.
