WT19i Touchscreen Issue Solved - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Solutionfor Normal Users
Follow these steps.
1) First you need to download and copy these two ROM zip files to your SD Card. The download links are given below.
a) (Note: Add (https) then //) before you enter the address which is given below in the address bar for downloading the file.)
|
V
dl.dropbox.com/u/61884099/hybrom_v10.zip
b) (Note: Add (www) then (.) before you enter the address which is given below in the address bar for downloading the file.)
|
V
mediafire.com/?32i7l0w4hpfzx81
2) Switch Off your phone and flash the latest GB Stock Firmware (GB !4.0.2.A.0.62) by using Flash Tool.
You will get this Stock Firmware from here. If you have already downloaded the file, skip this download.
(Note: Add (www) then (.) before you enter the address which is given below in the address bar for downloading the file.)
|
V
mediafire.com/?ervpg54922b9c0p
3) After that don't switch on your mobile. Download and extract the kernel file which i attached with this post (kernel_coconut-v4.zip) and flash it
via Fastboot Mode in Flash Tool.
4) After that switch on your mobile and press the volume down button to enter the CWM Menu and do these things.
a) wipe data/factory reset
b) wipe cache partiton
c) wipe Dalvik Cache
5) After that Do 'Install zip from sdcard' and select hybrom_v10.zip file from your sdcard which you downloaded and copied to your SDCard
earlier.
6) When the installation complete, restart your phone. You will see that your touch is partially working !! Don't waste your time by checking
Touchscreen. Switch off your mobile by remove the battery and put it again.
7) Switch on your mobile and boot into CWM Mode again. Don't do these things(wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partiton and wipe Dalvik
Cache) again for installing new zip from SDCard. (I'll tell the reason later )
Do 'Install zip from sdcard' and select hybroman_v12.zip file from your sdcard which you downloaded and copied to your SDCard
earlier.
8) After the Installation restart your phone and wait for booting into new ROM hybrom v12. Now you can see that your Touchscreen Issue is
solved !!!!
Optional:
If you are facing wifi problem just flash the zip file via CWM (coconut_wlan_v4.zip) which is atteched with this post.
If you are not satisfied with hyvrom v12, you can also flash again the Stock Firmware or any other ROM which only supported by LWW
Cheers and Don't forget to hit the THANKS. Sorry for my bad English

What is this touch issue? How does installing hybrom fix it? What if you dont want hybrom?
Cheers,
Evil.

Reason of Touchscreen issue
My Wt19i touchscreen is damaged when i installed rom kernel and rom. But it was solved when i installed hybrom v10 and after hybrom v12 with x kernel. That is why i posted the solution here.

Flashing back to stock didnt fix it? Because if its not a HW issue then flashing to stock give you back your stock files and kernel so then your touch should be working again. Flashing hybrom v10 then v12 will do nothing other than give you the files of that rom.
What was the rom you installed that broke your touch? There are only two possible reasons for that to happen, 1, you had a corrupt .zip file, or 2, you flashed a rom and kernel that was not for your device.
Cheers,
Evil..

I tried 3 stock firmwares and other some roms also but the touchscreen problem was not solved. So I just tried to use hybrom v10, then touchscreen worked partially. Then i installed hybrom v12 over it without wiping any user data and dalvick cache. Voila it was worked !!! that is why i posted that solution here.
Anyway you just try this solution when you have this touchscreen problem.

ROM problem

I have a week trying to install a new ROM to my phone (xperia mini pro). I follow the instructions, install the recommended kernel for each Rom. When i finish installing the ROM i reboot the phone put the kernel logo and don't do anything else (the last time i let it in the kernel logo for 10 hours and it didn't work).
I fix it using Wotan server. But what i really care about is that i want to prove new Rom, so if someone can help me i will be really thankful.
PS: Sorry if you think my english is bad, is because my main language is not english

Hello,
I'm having the same problem, I don't get it at all. I bought my Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i) yesterday and so far I have been only able to flash stock rom and MiniCMSandwich AOSP Android 4.0.4 RC3, both of which work fine.
With all other roms I get stuck on the logo (depending on kernel - Sony, Sony Ericsson or Free Xperia logo). I do full wipe, dalvik cache etc. but nothing helps.
So far I tried: FXP 117 7.2.0, FXP 117 9.0.0 and XROM™ ICS RC7.
I tried different basebands, flashing in different order etc., no matter what I get stuck on the logo.
Could someone post a detailed step-by-step instruction how to flash either FXP or the XROM on the Mini Pro? Which baseband should I use (and how do I know it's the baseband's fault when the rom doesn't work), what about Wi-Fi etc.
I flashed Galaxy S+ (I9001) before and didn't have any of these issues.

guide for installing cm7 is on original thread

I do exactly as it says. I had to flash stock rom before that, because update zip wouldn't work if I started from AOSP (or if I wanted to apply it after flashing FXP)
BTW, do I really have to flash stock ftf (kernel+baseband), which overwrites my CWM each time I want to flash FXP? I hate losing CWM.
Anyway, I did this:
1. I put the update.zip on the sdcard
2. I flashed the boot.img I unpacked from the update.zip using fastboot (went fine)
3. I applied update.zip using CWM
4. I did factory reset from CWM and wiped dalvik cache
After reboot - it hangs on the Free Xperia logo. I also tried flashing Rage kernel 2.8 with the same result. Oh, and does it matter if I flash kernel before or after the rom?

rage kernel is not compatible with cm7,
mostly kernel is flashed before the rom, but either way should work i guess..

That's because for some stupid reason you formatted the system partition, which must not be done on some ROM installations.
The CM7 installation requires info from the system folder, but since you formatted it, you don't have the info on your phone and installation cannot be installed.
Reinstall stock firmware, follow the same procedure, but do NOT format system, but do make factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache.
Well, I was asked to try formatting /system.
Ok, again then. BTW, is there a pre-rooted .62 stock rom somewhere? I only see .69, which isn't good AFAIK.

I sent mine to service already, ROM testing killed the touchscreen.
Problem solved!
1)Install lastest firmware .62 for wt19i - use Flashtool
2) Install Rage Kernel 2.6 - use Flashtool
3) Then via CM from zip install hybrom_v12. for mini pro
3) Install "Touchscreen.zip" via CWM and reboot system
(Touch screens has to work)
4) Then again flash hybroman_v12 for wt19i
Good luck!!!
djRemov dude, where'd you get that touch flashfile? You made it yourself or is someone developing it? I fixed mine using the Hybrom v12 > Hybroman v12 way (without the file) and it still worked. Just curious..
I dug the hybrom zip and found the exact same hex files on it. Was thinking whether the just the script would work on it's own without flashing the minipro hybrom since they're doing essentially the same thing..
Thx dude
** oh yeah, not gonna test that theory anytime soon. I love my phone when it works~! LoL

I made myself.
At first I wanted to copy a SYS from another phone, but wondered, and concluded that the MINI PRO ROM has changed about the path to the touch screen files in the SYS . Renaming touch_coconut_tpk.hex in touch_mango_....hex, and replaced by one file in the folder firmware.
Do you guys have a link for the Mini Pro ROM? I'm desperate now.. =(
I still have a HYBROMAN v16 do you think that would work?
EDIT: I was able to download HYBROM_V12 but CWM keeps saying that the file is bad. Downloaded and re downloaded at least 10x now.. Any ideas?
UPDATE: For those who are having problems with their touchscreen, this method works! (finally found a working version of hybrom_v12)

Lemme see if I understand this right. Basically, what it does is overwrite the hex file and starts the touchscreen script? In which case it continues from the hybrom flash and replaces the hex from the minipro with the lww one?

ok so i did the same (did not flash kernel).................but now after flashing the .431 kernel via flashtool it is still not happening......it wont go past the sony logo..........when i try with SEUS it says i already have the latest software installed...........please help.
Flash whole stock firmware with flashtool so you are able to boot phone.
Then when you will know the right steps, put rom .zip into sd, flash the right kernel and finally install rom via cwm following dev's instructions.
To flash a custom kernel you need unlocked bootloader.

I happened to soft-brick my Neo V few days back after installing a custom ROM. Please read on to see what helped me get my Neo V up and running again.
If your phone is stuck at SONY logo, I doubt it will go into CWM recovery mode either. I had tried flashing stock kernel through Flashtool, and also tried the FOTA-Unbrick method via flashtool, but even that didn't help. Finally, I used the "repair" option in PC Companion which flashed Stock ICS ROM on my Neo V (however, all data on phone's internal memory was lost and my phone had to e rooted again). But at least my phone was recovered. Hope this will guide you.

Please read carefully :
U have to have a rooted and bootloader unlocked in phone to flash ROMs (OBVIOUS )
1)Copy the contents to your SDCARD of phone (ROM ZIP File + gapps ZIP)
2) Extract only the boot.img from the ROM zip to some location in your PC
3) Use Flashtool to flash the boot.img (FIRST THING TO DO)
3.a) Select Fastboot mode from flashtool
3.b) While the phone is connected, Click Fastboot phone using ADB.(Phone will restart and blue led will glow showing its in fast boot mode)
3.c) Now select the option, select kernel to flash in the window and chose the boot.img that is in the PC.
Now the flashtool automatically flashes the boot.img(which has the kernel included).
Unplug from PC and try to reboot.. On booting enter CWM mode and flash the ZIP already placed in the SDCARD(Ensure to follow the appropriate post to follow steps like clearing cache\Dalvik and system etc..).
HAPPY FLASHING

Need Help! PURE_BLOOD_ROM_V1

Hello Everyone, I badly need your help guys. Unfortunately, i can't post a question on the specific thread im having problems with.
this is by the way, a question from a developed custom rom or upgraded rom for xperia ics. here is my question.
I got Xperia Sola, running on an official update from our country i believe or ASIA im not sure if its INDIA. But i ran it through Sony Updater. After i followed the instruction guides for installing your custom rom. i simply to a steps:
(assume i downloaded all the files needed)
1. i run Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v9_4 (reboot)
2. i run cwm-installer-sola-1.1 (manually reboot)
3. enter CWM
4. copy PURE_BLOOD_ROM_V1.zip from internal SD
5. install PURE_BLOOD_ROM_V1.zip
6. I can see an update running
7. Did reset/reboot by itself
8. It stuck, not moving anymore. i only can see SONY logo, nothing more and its not moving.
I am a bit curious if it really takes some time to fully install/update? I waited almost 15mins for it and my phone is a bit hot now. Is this normal? Please help me what to do.
Thank you.
I dont know what CWM you have installed, but i did the same with munjeni's CWM - i flashed the boot img with fast boot command, placed the ROM in sd, went into CWM and installed the ROM, wiped data, wiped cashe, wiped dalvick cashe and rebooted.
Thats it
I got ur problem u have installed cwm 1.1 which has some bugs instead install flashing v1 aflter flashingstock fw or try to hold power+ volume down button which will let reboot.
Press thanks if i helped.

Would xICS Hybrid RM work on mine if I too try to flash it via a CWM version 1 instead of version 1.1
Also would it matter whether which team\developers CWM I'm using as long as its version 1?
Thanks
