Do more people experience crashes with Google Search on this ROM? The only solution for me is to only search in the browser...? Ideas?
Hello, I personaly use browser for search. Didn't encourage any issues.Else, this ROM crashes itself sometimes... so maybe its all okay with search.
I will test Google Search and include in my "To-Do" list.

Hello!
I have bought HTC HD2 and install this android ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951 . It's cool but I can't find any information how to get voice search button in google maps and navigation. I had this option with GoferSandwitch (based on cm7.2) with my last phone Samsung Galaxy Gio. Can you give me information how to get this option? I would be very glad!
I've tried to install latest gapps 1.1.13 but it didn't help with this problem.
Sorry for my English and also if there was such a topic, but I was looking about 2 hours for it.
Hi Everyone,
I want to find an older (or modded) version of Google Search app (apk),
The phone is a Jiayu G3 QCT, Android 4.2.1
My default Google Search app (2.6.7.721924.arm) always does a web search, even if I only mark apps, contacts, music and files. Web search cannot be unmarked, only History and Bookmarks. For example, in a very old version (1.1.2.64376, gingerbread) web search can be entirely unmarked. I tried to find a changelog, or a version history of this app but I found nothing.
Is there a previous version that can be forced to search on the device only, without even showing web results?
For Web search, I already use the android browser.
If possible, I'd like to retain the offline voice search functionality (Seems to be included in the search app)
I don't need Google Now, I don't care if it's included or not.
I'd appreciate any help you can provide.

I suppose I could try a different search app without replacing the Google one, so I don't lose any other features. Thanks anyway. :good:
Hi Everyone. I am happy to be a new member of the XDA Developers forum site. I look forward to sharing what i have learned and learning what i have not. So this is my problem. I have flashed the Mokee Rom to my Galaxy note i717r. It has been an amazing experience puttering around the different system configs. However i am a regular Google maps user. I was going to do a search and Mokee did not even give me a chance to search Google maps before it flashed a message saying Google Maps in not working.I have spent some time on different sites (Mokee open source, Offical Android forum, Google + for Mokee, ect.) with no results so far. I even researched the web for a bug fix kernel to splice into my Mokee OS. Nothing yet. It would be a shame to remove it from my Phone after getting to know the system. Please can someone give me a solution.
Is the playstore still working fine? If so, try uninstalling and reinstalling maps.
Still persists anybody has a clue on this?
Using MoKee RELEASE - MK44.2 - n7000 - 140501
Nexus 10 4.2.2 no root, original ROM. I search picture over google search bar. Example I search BMW, I see lot of pictures BMW cars, I slide between them. Now I search example Ford and I see lot of picture again. But if I search BMW again and click on any pictures I do not see picture, only black screen with google logo and information about copyright. Same situation is on HTC One 4.2.2 It is android bug?
Edit: Probably is bug in Google search app. I found the solution. Version Google search is 3.3.11.1069658 If I uninstall update to version 3.1.8.920880 everything works.
Really annoying: when I open my Google quick search app (long press home) I get trending terms and topics I've never searched.
Did a downgrade to a last year version, same problem.
Does anyone know how to block (I'm rooted), and could please tell how?
Or any suggestions for an alternative Google search app?
Thank you.
