This is the Samsung Vibrant thread you need the Samsung Galaxy 4g thread. They are 2 totally different phones, you can NOT flash Vibrant ROMS onto your Galaxy 4g. They are pretty much the same phone but yours is 4g and our Vibrants are 3g, big difference. Here if the odin to stock guide for your phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1001759

flashee the pit and the PDA that comes in that tool.
all goes well but never gets off the mobile.

I'm sorry but I'm not sure what your asking me? The samsung vibrant (t959) and the samsung galaxy s 4g (t959v) are two different phones. This is the samsung vibrant (t959) section, you need to be in the t959v section. I posted the link in an earlier post, here it is again http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1001759

today i was doing the same thing, only difference is i used odin3 v1.85 (usually I use odin3 v1.3)
had this error on odin and next thing cant start the damn phone not even for download (odin mod) !!! i always get this same picture
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VELSs92IKEo/TzHb4UFC6bI/AAAAAAAAMfo/9MQHljVoiHg/s400/EXCLAMATION.jpg

The pic indicates the phone is in 'forced' download mode if I'm not mistaken, and means you must flash something in Odin to get it working again.
Oh thanks MistahBungle

You mean like the actual, correct answer given above by MistahBungle? (nice edit)
Also, are you sure your customer had an I9100? and not some variant, like the one in your signature or some other variant http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1329

I bricked my Sprint S3 trying to flash Omega. It wont even turn on no matter what i do, and trust me I have tried it all. So I have found a few vids about usb jigs and how to use them. So if im able to get in download mode what should I push thru odin? Was there or is there a .tar somewhere that brings you back to stock?
someone please help.
Anything you find here will be for the international version, and as you know now, won't be compatible with the us versions.
Try the us versions forums and see if anyone has anything that can help.

Chances are you killed that poor Galaxy S III, R.I.P.
Custom ROMs are meant for the International Version of Galaxy S III (GT-I9300) and if Im correct the one from Sprint is a variant.
The only way to have this fixed is to send it for JTag (Forced Download Mode via Hardware manipulation)
u flash rom which is made for international s3 .. I think that's y u brick
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
same boat
I did the same exact thing.
flashed omega rom for the international version of my AT&T Galaxy S3
I sent it for jtag brick @ mobile tech videos
sorry no link this is my first post and for some reason i cant post links ye.
hopefully it all works out otherwise the last few days have been pretty expensive.
I let everyone know how it went
Flashing a rom?
read all the comments and check your phone model number.

Like a champ .
fixboot tar
if you can get into download mode you can flash a tar called fixboot found on the at&t section of the galaxy s3 on this site. It worked for mine when it wouldnt come off of the dreaded download screen with the yellow exclamation triangle on it. Just a thought. it works on the sprint version too.
If you can get a replacement phone though insurance or otherwise.. do that.
otherwise jtag repair from Josh worked but i had no lte coverage.
i am sure he has the updated tools to fix that now. but be carefull out there and learn your phones model number.
So i read up on installing a rom. I rooted my galaxy s3 from tmobile and everthing. I tried to install DragonICS rebirth rom and everything went great. The installation and everything. So then It asked me to reboot and i did. but now it doesnt turn on. I tried to hold down lock, home, and up volume/down volume. Took off battery. I tried everything and It wont turn on. It doesn't even charge. Please help.

Did you make a nandroid backup of the previous rom and can you get in recovery mode?
if yes restore the backup (ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP OF A WORKING ROM) or reflash the rom ( wipe cache, dalvikcache, data/factory reset and format system in mounts and storage), If you can`t try to get in downloadmode and flash a stock rom and reroot.
You flashed the rom on what model no? That and infact all the roms here are made for i9300
Sounds like you've bricked it.
Make sure the rom you are flashing supports your device model.

Your device was/is i9300 (international) or US model? If your's was a US model than you're one of many who have flashed wrong ROM.

Omega 9 is for the I9300 only. If you can't get it to turn on, you are bricked and therefore there is nothing you can do to fix it.

I really think that the developers should warn in HUGE bright red letters on the FIRST page of every ROM, that THESE are NOT for U.S. versions of the Galaxy S III.
Really getting old seeing people bricking their phones all the time because they can't take 5 minutes to read 1) What section the are in and 2) All of the information before attempting to install ROM's.

I agree. People have to learn to read before doing this stuff. Before I flashed my S2 I read stuff for a month to make sure I knew what I was doing.

I do kind of agree with this but at the same time if you’re silly enough not to read all the info, then you deserve a brick. 9/10 roms state very clearly what the supported devices are.
It's like the fine print on a contract at the bank really.

Most people only go by the Galaxy S III name. This is one of the MAIN reasons why I think that carrier branded phones should have their own unique names.

I already answered your question in your duplicate thread, there was ABSOLUTELY no reason to start two threads for the very same issue.
Epic 4g Touch forum is located at http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1281
@OP: please refrain from telling your model as GT-I9100... That is the international variant, but the one you have (Sprint epic 4G touch) is an entirely different variant.
