Button combo to simulate battery pull? - HTC Amaze 4G

On the sensation, you could press vol up+down+power button, and it would restart the phone even if the phone was not responding to anything. Even from a sod. Is there any button combo that does that on the amaze? I tried vol up+down, and power, but it doesn't work.

Actually I just tried it just for the heck of it. It worked. You probably need to hold it longer.

That is strange. It doesn't work on mine. Glad it does on some, maybe it will help not wearing out your battery cover

Well, I tried for even 30 seconds, and It's still a no go for me. I liked not ever having to do a battery pull on my sensation. I wonder why it work on some amaze and not others? It seems like it would be in the hardware level, since it would even being a phone back from a sod.

It works if you push the power button first then touch home screen......
What rom are you using?

I think It's different on some ROMs. On the stock T-Mobile ROMs, you use power, then home. I also read Power, then hold volume down for 2 seconds for one of the custom ROMs.

Would this only work while already booted into ROM, or could this remapping also work to turn the phone on, boot into HBOOT, etc..?

I know that, when ever i do that though, after a couple of seconds the bootloader will restart too, thats why i cant get back into recovery
So you can get to the bootloader but it reboots also. Is the battery low?
