On the sensation, you could press vol up+down+power button, and it would restart the phone even if the phone was not responding to anything. Even from a sod. Is there any button combo that does that on the amaze? I tried vol up+down, and power, but it doesn't work.

Actually I just tried it just for the heck of it. It worked. You probably need to hold it longer.

Well, I tried for even 30 seconds, and It's still a no go for me. I liked not ever having to do a battery pull on my sensation. I wonder why it work on some amaze and not others? It seems like it would be in the hardware level, since it would even being a phone back from a sod.

the best u can do is use this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.nomoarpowah to replace the charging screen and use this to reboot system by connecting to charger
Hold the volume down button the plug in the charger... You will go into odin mode... Unplug the charger and press the volume down button again and your phone should start up buddy

Hi
I have a Galaxy Note I717 with a ROM on it (I don't remember which one I am using, I know its an aosp jellybean ROM)
Today while I was trying to send a text the phone restarted, the restarting is normal, but would not boot back up.
When I take out the battery and put it back in, the phone vibrates and then the Samsung logo appears twice. After that the phone goes black and wont display anything until the battery is taken out again.
When I hold the volume buttons to try and boot to recovery the phone vibrates every few seconds until I let go, yet stays black.
If theres anything im doing wrong or a different way I can boot into anything. Help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
