Hello. I recently rooted my Note (well, my hsuband did) using a tutorial from Androidforums.com. I am on ICS. When I had my phone rooted on Gingerbread, I was able to use RootFreezer Pro to disbale the AT&T boot screen (The annoying one that says "Rethink Possible). It has been a while since I did that, and now I can't remember what the name of the file is. When you open Rootfreezer pro, it lists all the applications on your phone, and I'm scared to just freeze whatever. Does anyone know the name of the bootscreen file?

I never used Rootfreezer before just Titanium Backup, for that purpose. If your looking to install a new boot animation, just put the zip file into system/media and rename bootanimaton.zip. Reboot and presto
Oh, I'm not looking to replace the boot animation, I just want that "Rethink Possible" screen disabled. It makes booting so much faster when it's disabled. Can Titanium backup make it so that that boot screen doesn't launch at all? I'm okay with the Samsung boot logo, I just want to disable the AT&T screen.
It will freeze any stock app on your phone, remove bloat..

Ok I don't know where i went wrong but i attempted to flash my sprint optimus s and needless to say. i messed something up. it boots up w/ the sprint/lg logo and it boots into the android os. the odd thing is there is no apps, no menu bar, just the top white strip with the signal gague and the time. can someone help me please????
what did u flash with? sounds like a phone without a homescreen. try going to adb and making it install any kind of homescreen (you need a apk file though.) and try from there. also u can reflash/nandroid restore

Hello!
I have a Xperia X10, I installed the official 2.1 (or maybe 2.2, don't know) update some month ago, after that, I rooted it using the one click tool and installed a new font and an animated boot screen using the app "Root Tools". Everything worked fine until today.
I was listening to a web radio stream on my phone, when it suddenly shut off. I wasn't able to turn it on again, so I pulled the battery for a minute.
After that, it wouldn't boot anymore. I get the "Sony Ericsson" screen, then the animated boot screen, as usual. But then nothing. The boot animation is running and running and nothnig else happens.
I already tried removing SIM and SD card, it doesn't help either.
Do I have to reflash it or something like that? Is there any way to backup the application data before? Normally, I'd use Titanium Backup, but unfortunately I can't access it because the phone doesn't boot^^
Best regards,
Cherry
Connect your phone to your PC and run SEUS or PC Companion to repair the phone.
Just plug it in and follow the instructions

Hi there all,
Thanks in advance for looking,
I have a chinese dual sim with android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, as main stream manufactures dont make Android dual sim phones.
I have routed the phone useing superoneclick.
I have been loking for a way to do a total back up of the phone to preseve it.
I have downloaded titanium back up pro and clock recovery mod as well as droid X recovery.
My problem started when I used the "fix permissions" option in droid X which proceeded to over write my system resulting a expensive brick.
Its locked in a loop trying to boot up.
I have read on the forum that it is possible to re-flash through the sd slot on the phone.
1) Is this possible with my mobile?
2) If so what software do I use ?
3) A good simple guide in the process would be a must as I am complete novice.
4) Please bear in mind that this is not a mainstream phone.

Hi I have had no luck fixing the phone and bought a new dual sim mobile and have given up..
Hey,
I have a serious Problem.
I know i should have made tons of Backups before trying out something like "Provision Optimizer [Root] but i was kind of tired and didn't do any Backups.
After i clicked the "one click optimize" button, i rebooted my phone to apply the settings. The Motorola Boot Logo showed up, but instead of loading/showing the animated Motorola Boot Logo(the second one) the Screen turned black.
After waiting one or two more minutes I tried to touch the Screen and the Motoluxe responds as if the Screen was turned on. Even the sounds and vibrations match the Touch screen unlocking.
Technical Details:
Motorola Motoluxe
Android 2.3.7
Fw: IRM-1670-0-4073-A02_BFM_service.sbf (stock)
Rooted
Usb Debugging enabled
How can I backup either my Data to flash the Motoluxe once again (Titanium Backup installed) or undo the changes, that the "Provision Optimizer" did to my system?
Thanks in advance!
Niklas
You can try this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.xdevelop.rc
Maybe it will help?
I have installed it via the Play Store, but do not know how to launch it without knowing on which screen position the buttons are.
Now I risked losing my data an flashed the Original Image file using RSDLite. What astonished me was, that no Data and apps were lost, but the corrupted system files were apparently replaced or repaired.
Thank you very much for your help post-mortem!
Niklas
First time to ever root a phone. I unlocked the bootloader, and then ran insecurebootandroot, instead of rebooting....I got a screen showing htc developer signage, Now my phone is stuck in an endless loop of boot screens. Hard reset does not work. Help would be most appreciated.

Either flash a different ROM, or run the RUU while in fastboot.
this once happened to me too. what you have to do is go too Google and search up Odin One Click Downloader and then your phone. For example, if I have a Samsung Captivate, i would search Odin One Click Downloader Captivate and download it. go in to download mode on your phone, hopefully you can do that (i could) and press start on Odin. NOTE: THIS WILL DELETE ALL YOUR APPS (your folders will still be there for some reason) AND WILL RETURN THE PHONE THE WAY YOU GOT IT MEANING YOU WILL LOSE ROOT ( the android version, i had to go back to Eclair). Next, if you want to update it back to the OS you had, download Samsung Kies Mini and connect your phone (not in download mode, MAKE SURE USB DEBUGGING IS ENABLED AND YOU HAVE A LIVE INTERNET CONNECTION) and press Update Software or something like that in Kies Mini. This will only update the version 1 OS version , so you must do it more than one time if your phone is going to a higher Android version ( i had to do it twice because it is two versions from Eclair to Gingerbread). this will take some time. Next root your phone again if you wish and apply an update.zip if you had one after installing CWM or any other custom recovery. this will be a pain in the ass but you'll have to do it if you want your phone back.
