Hi all.
I was bored this morning, so I took it upon myself to manually modify the services.jar required to make the launcher Die-Hard, HTK, or Bulletproof.
This is used in the V6 Supercharger script found HERE
Each of these includes the correctly modified values for their respective types of launchers. The V6 Supercharger will automatically patch your services.jar for Die-Hard launcher, but personally I prefer HTK or Bulletproof.
Honestly this may not help anyone, but in the case that it does I made this thread.
To install, copy the V6 Supercharger you can get from THIS THREAD (attached at the bottom, read the thread though) to the root of the sdcard. Copy the services.jar you desire to the root of the sdcard as well. Under ICS Service Centre in V6 Supercharger, use manual install. It will copy and set proper permissions.
These files have been taken from CM9 Alpha 5 by dragonzkiller, but may work on other (previous or future) builds.
It is recommended to backup your services.jar in the case that something goes wrong. I believe this is done automatically in V6 Supercharger script.
Press thanks of leave a comment if I helped.
Thanks man they helped me out

Many Thanks
It definitely made the whole process simpler. Thanks!
What are the differences between these launchers?

I was looking through the Arc development section and came across these threads by iridaki, now the first thread is instructions on how to create and enable init.d scripts, to enable you to run stuff like Supercharger v6
Now firstly I am running the following
ST18i
4.0.2.A.0.42
Rooted and Unlocked B/L
Samsung Galaxy theme
Firstly what I did was follow this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1405590
Once you have followed the guide and flashed the file you will find there won't be the file test file in data/local/tmp now I will try to find out why BUT I continued the process and ran this script
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276
after running this script it created a file in the init.d folder called 99supercharger
Now once this had been done I followed this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1275233
to test if the script was working, and it works!!!
Please thank all the original threads detailed above
After doing this my quadrant increased slightly but the overall smoothness of the phone had improved.
For information when I ran the supercharger script I selected aggressive 1 settings from the selection
I will try to help as much as I can in regards to how to get this running on the Ray, but for questions relating to the script please ask on their thread
For anyone having problems remember to set permissions correctly see post 5 by hansip87
Don't forget to change permission of install-recovery.sh to rwxr-xr-x that is the issue that makes the 99Test

Wow, hoping later that OC can be included as a module here.. nice finding bro.

Hi bro, i already do your step by step there, the SuperCharger does works AFAICT but i still don't know whether the init.d works or not by the start of the phone. So with the 99test does not work, how can we be convinced that content of init.d folder will be run? any new info you can share? Thx.
Locked BL and stock ROM, ZergRush Root.

Get script manager and.run the supercharger script created in init.d let me know what happens on the display
sent from my gorgeus Xperia Ray
Yup with script manager, I run the supercharger with root access, and it worked to display kernel.panic etc. No warning. And as far as I understand the script, it will put a value to parameter file in sys folder from data folder as selected in supercharger setup. But when I restart, the parameter file is reverted back, meaning that the init.d does not work, but supercharger does, only must be called manually from script manager.
Hope you understand. Might be related to why ray and arc s get ics the same time, but arc doesn't, because of different boot system.

No no that's not what i meant.. Let me explain this a bit:
1. the link from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276
is to setup a supercharger on the phone right?
2. the link from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1275233
only to test if the 99supercharger generated by supercharger script working or not, right?
3. But the first mod you get from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1405590 you said that the 99test did not generate the log file after you flashed it from cwm, right?
That means the current condition on your phone & mine is:
1. The init.d automatic startup exec is not working
2. Supercharger has been setup to the phone, It is running by itself, i can see that; but is not loaded with user spesific value from Supercharger setup, due to point 1 above.
Note:
Have you still got 99test inside /system/etc/init.d? please run it with Script Manager with Superuser privilege and the log file will be generated by Script Manager. But now delete the log file and restart. Will it generated by iridaki startup mod? With mine, it's not.
So.. With the current condition, there is a workaround actually. Use Script Manager to run 99Supercharger at boot with SuperUser privilege. Now we're talking..
---------- Post added at 10:50 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:34 AM ----------
to OP, i think i have found the problem why there's no /data/local/temp/log_test.txt. Because we forgot to change permission of install-recovery.sh to rwxr-xr-x. Now the script runs automatically on my phone. Please acknowledge and clarifiy the issue on the first post please.
Can you run the Speedy 7 script and the V6 Supercharger script at the same time?
Yes
You would just want to edit out the lines in speedy that reference oom grouping and minfree levels sooooo that the minfree you set with supercharger is used instead of speedy.
I'm rather new to the whole script thing, how do I do that?
Check the thread about how to install v6supercharger on eclipse.
Same idea but you are editing speedymain inside of init.d folder.
I posted in that thread how to do it using root explore . You don't need to do the adb method.
You might not even have to edit those lines out since 99supercharger should run AFTER speedy main. Since it has a 99 in front and.I believe speedymain has an 01 in front?
Did what you said, and my phone is flying now! Thanks so much for your help!
I'm kind of in the same situation, what busybox version would you recommend to run with this since v6 recommends 1.18.2 or lower and speedy recommends 1.18.4?

Both of them will work just fine with busybox 1.19.gitadrynaline.
Or busy box 1.19.3 or 1.19.2
I use Jrummy's busy box installer from market to switch versions
ok thanks a lot!

Many of you may know about the V6 supercharger,I myself have used it when i was in my G Ace but when i changed to SII i totally forgot about it ...But then came ICS and my thirst for Performance started..Although CM9 is super fast than the stock ics,I say this script makes it even more faster and smoother..
INSTALLATION
0.Make a backup before you do anything.
1.Download the latest script from here.
--->http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18703418&postcount=5021
2.Now the ICS service.jar doesn't support V6 super charger,so you have to patch it on web app below ,upload your service.jar and replace orginal serice.jar with the one you get fron the web app and fix permission(although cwm.zip is available its not working )
--->http://android.mimic.ca/
3.Install script manager(free on market),run the script.(set the scrolling speed to 2 and when it asks [1-31] enter your choice,i prefer 9)
4.Superclean & Reboot.
you should feel the change in performance...
PS:I don't take credit for this..all credit must go for zeppelinrox..I just want ppl to know abt this..you can find zeppelinrox's V6supercharger thread in Android hacking section..
aokp?

Its supposed to work on all ICS roms, but Ive only tested it on CM9..try it out,you can always do a restore if anything goes wrong
MOD EDIT: removed attachement since zeppelinrox does not allow any redistribtuion.
I make report.
Bad dummy.
?!
Repackaging of my work is not permitted.
Period.
And it turns out, it's an older V6 script in the zip
From my OP
Modification and redistribution of the attached installation script is not permitted at all.
This means that you cannot feel free to zip up the attached installation script with other tweaks and this means that it is not be edited and shared.

So if you're gonna SuperCharge, do it right - not with an old, unsupported version that didn't come from me.
Can this run on FDE+4?
Sorry all I don't understand about this..why do we use it???

zeppelinrox does not allow anyone to redistribute his work.
Please accept this decision.

Guys, I own an Xperia U. I've updated it to ICS build number 6.1.1.C.1.0 via flashtools. After using for few days, I applied v6 supercharger script as I didn't feel this rom snappy. It worked fine but now after 2 weeks it's causing errors. Errors are like Windows' "Not responding" plz wait. Also, my battery backup dropped. Are there any favorable settings for xperia u?
Same problm
I also had a window popping every 10sec indicating I had a minfree
Values mismatch
V6 supercharger
Why dun u rerun the script and select moderate settings
Which setting r u using?? Aggressive???

I tried all three 512 settings but no luck. Whenever I open fb, I get error. I even tried the superchager calculator settings, which are actually a bit non-annoying than above three but after few time phone becomes slower.
I have also applied Pimp my rom tweaks but not the minfree values. Only I/O scheduler tweaks and three sleepers in kernel section.
Do you think that has anything to do with this freezing errors?

Did you patch the services.jar ? V6 worked fine for me but when I patched services, I got loads of FCs, huge lag and rom became nearly unusable
Let me know Cheers

Services.jar were patched automatically during installation for me via internet....
So it means we need not patch it??
I suggest you avoid it.. Just use Supercharger's mem tweaks without the Services.. But it might just have been an off case with me though.. Not sure

I did patch services.jar
So you mean I shouldn't have done that? Also, when I used its earlier version i.e. V8 script, I didn't even bother to patch services.jar. Coz I didn't know about it, seriously. The new script tells you whether you've patched services.jar or not. V8 script never gave me errors instead it did its convincing job very well.
I'll try v8 script again when I re-flash my stock rom 6.1.1.C.1.0 which is pretty snappy but still I have to find out whether zepplinrox's script works for 512mb ram devices or is it just hokum.
Don't use the V8 script.
Just use the latest V6 http://goo.gl/1JPl8
For ICS and up, use the latest Ultimatic patcher http://goo.gl/IvGL1
If your ROM is pre-ICS you don't need any patch for supercharging - but you can use the patcher for mulititasking mods

First of all, thanks for your reply.
As I said earlier, I'd re-flash my stock rom, so I did it. It pretty fast now. I applied the script without patching anything. It's working like a charm. With pimp my rom, I only applied the sleepers mod.
So my conclusion is to flash the 6.1.1.C.1.0 rom again if you guys are having problems. And apply only these settings. For more brief answers, you can ask me
Also battery is pretty darn amazing. Even though I changed my systemUI,apk, there's no change in its performance.
