[Q] how to disable face unlock in low light? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

obv it doesn't work in these situations so ideally i'd like the OS to check the light levels before trying. ie. light is fine - face unlock. light is low - pattern unlock.
i know face unlock goes to pattern by default after a while but it's annoying.

[Q] light sensor and light sensor lock question

Main question: is the light sensor always on even if I turn off the "automatic brightness" in Display settings?
If the answer is no, I might have to reconsider the usage about light sensor lock.
(I thought the sensor is working at all time, so add the light sensor lock would not draing the battery faster)

[Q] Lock Screen: Face Unlock

Hi Guys,
When you use the Face Unlock, you can improve the Face recognition by taking a picutre of your face in different situations (like with or without glasses, more light, less light etc...).
I have taken quite a few of these "pictures" to improve the system.
Is there a way to backup these? Where are they saved? Does anyone know?
It's annoying to have to do this all over again if I decide to change the unlock system and revert it to Face Unlock for instance.
Thanks

Red light near earpiece (probably Proximity Switch ON)

Hello from Indonesia. I'm user of Xperia X single SIM which use the newest version of Poison ROM based Nougat 7.1.1. I have a little problem like this thread https://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xper...sor-when-3g-4g-data-transmission/td-p/1146470 but the difference is the red light in my phone always ON both when data transmission/WiFI ON and OFF. The red light OFF when I locked this phone, and when I unlock this phone using fingerprint or press power button, suddenly the red light ON. I have the adaptive brightness screen turned off before. Anyone can fix this problem? Thank you so much for your help. Sorry for my bad English.
Turn off the auto brightness option
Turning off adaptive brightness is not working and it looks more like a feature than bug. (Proximity sensor gets active on lock screen or after data/wifi use to detect if flip cover is covering the screen or not?)

Screen on notifications and lower ambient brightness

Hi guys
I tried searching everywhere for two apps and can't find anything. I think it would be really simple but since there is no app to do this I find it strange, or maybe people don't need this...
The first one is a way to turn the screen on when I receive a notification on my watch (when ambient mode is off). I have a ticwatch E and find it really annoying to not have an option for this. Does anyone have any solution?
The other is brightness control when in ambient mode. I would like to lower the brightness of the watch when it is in ambient mode. I know that there was an app to do this (swapp true brightness or something like this) but it no longer works. Does anyone know one that works?
I found it is annoying too, I own a Ticwatch S and I want to turn off the Ambient light too but it can't pop up notification on screen after turning it off , also I wanted to turn down the brightness of the Ambient light because it make burn in on my screen after 4 month didn't change watch face

Fix for yellow tint while unlocking mi a3

I think everyone has a yellow blink while unlocking with fingerprint while the display is on...
Is there any fix for the same. plz suggest...
PS : I have tried with settings database editor. But it just removes the animation doesn't fix the blink
The yellow what..?
I don't see anything blinking. FP sensor has cyan (blue/green) color when I put my finger on it, but otherwise there isn't anything special going on. Could you maybe take a video?
If you mean the screen colour becomes warmer when an app request fingerprint authentication, I also noticed that.
Is a little hint that the fingerprint reader is on, but most of the time I can't even see the fingerprint icon because the contrast is too low.
I think only a custom ROM would fix that for now. Android 10 is coming and hopefully with a lot of bug fixes.
I think that the change in tint during unlock is due to the fingerprint sensor. It may be that it needs certain color to be on your finger to register it properly under the screen.
already posted, very few people have this issue and I think it's hardware problem
I have this problem some times!
