youtube mobile mode problems, switch to desktop + anoying prompt - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

Hey guys,
I'm having some issues watching videos on youtube.
I use Dolphin explorer and just updated to ICS in canada,
Heres me list!
- I come across more and more videos blocking mobile viewers!?! So I switch to desktop mode and these videos play fine.
- HQ Mobile mode is not the same quality as 1080p
- There is still is no setting for 1080p on ICS's stock internet or youtube app.( Please correct me if I'm wrong!). thx
Also, when clicking on a youtube video in dophin explorer while in desktop mode, I get the same prompt, "select an action": Dolphin browser, internet or youtube app.
Is there any way to remove this prompt??? There isn't even a check box to remember my selection.
Any tips be much appreciated.
Thanks
I'm Using,
I717 Galaxy Note with ICS

youtube in browser, resolution button

Can't seem to change the video resolution on a youtube video while playing in the browser. The options flash quickly then disappear. Not able to select 480p, 720p etc.
Is this a know issue?
Currently running Calkulin + Clemsyn w/ Flash 10.2, but the did the same thing with Vegan 5.1.
Same thing for me here. I've tried both the default browser and Dolphin HD but neither worked. I'm using Vegan 5.11 (flash 10.2) and every time I press the resolution button the menu sort of flashes but I can't select 720p nor 1080p. Youtube video is maxed out at 480p full screen right now.
Does anyone has a fix for this or if this is an Adobe Flash problem? I've tried Flash 10.1and its the same. If I can select a 1080p video for my 1680x1050 pc why can't I select at least a 720p video for my 1024x600 G-tablet?
Same here. Vegan 5.1.1 running Xscope browser. I don't seem to get good quality from the youtube app either. Not sure how to check the quality in the app though.
i aalso have this issue on my sgs and xoom, I believe this is a youtube problem :-(
You can achieve the HD playback by doing this:
1) On PC , go to youtube and Sign in your account.
2) Go to "Account Settings" , then click on "Playback support".
3) Select these 2 options:
Always choose the best option for me based on my player size.
Always play HD when switching to fullscreen (when available)
4) Now on G Tab when you play youtube video, just go to fullscreen mode and it will automatically select the best HD resolution depending on device support. IN case of G Tab 480p.
480p isn't HD.

nice, thanks.
They best res doesn't upscale to 720p on my xoom but when telling the player to always go into HD mode it works fine
Anyone have any other luck with this?
While i have these issues and this is a little off topic why does the Youtube app stutter to play stuff. The web is actually better to play videos

waiting for help. Pls
Most likely you have Dolphin Browser setup as Desktop instead of Mobile.
Desktop = shows the webpage just if you were viewing on a PC so videos play in the browser.
Mobile = renders video as a mobile browser normally does (ie. stock browser - externally via Flash).

You might try Acethinker Video Downloader, I always use it to save online videos to my Galaxy S6 for offline viewing, It's a free web-based application to download online videos, you don't have to install anything. Compatible with Dolphin browser.

Browser to watch streams?

Hi,
I've been looking for a browser that would allow for me to watch online streams (i.e. sport streams) without an incredible amount of lag. I've tried xscope, stock, dolphin, boat, and maxthon. Not a single one of them has been able to do it.
I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction or if someone could show me an app that would work in the same capacity. This is the only functionality that I'm finding my prime is missing. I only wanted it for internet and the occasional word document.. and so streaming sports would make the wonderful package complete.
Thanks!
I've been using the stock browser and ICS Browser+ and havent experienced much lag on streams besides the regular lag that comes with some streams. The only time I do notice a little lag is when I'm not viewing in fullscreen.

What do you mean not watching in fullscreen? Are you talking about having the browser in fullscreen? Or talking about having the stream opened up fullscreen?
Thanks.
i noticed stock browser does not allow me to log in espn3.com
but the lag is related more to network speed more than browser app
Lag would come more from work strength and speed than the browser

i mean the actual stream being in fullscreen.
Hmm, first of all, I did find a browser that would let me watch a stream without lag and there is a noticeable difference between streams on that browser and on others. Second, I can never make videos fullscreen on my tablet. Even trying to watch videos from ESPN.com won't go fullscreen. Is something on my tablet messed up?

Twitch.tv website shows non-flash stream

Hi,
did anybody notice that twitch.tv offers somehow an opportunity to watch streams without using the rubbish flash player?
This happened to me when browsing to any channel which is currently live streaming with my i9100 mobile. The control elements within the streamed video are looking different (like native android controls) and a real fullscreen mode can be activated - see the attached screenshots..
The best thing: The video is streamed very smoothly and in high quality.
I tried Opera Classic and the default Android browser. Both had the alternative streaming mode.
Now I also wanted to have this feature on my Android TV box (accually no mobile), but it just shows me the regular flash player here. Changing the user agent to "mobile" did not help either.

How to use default video player instead of website video player

Hi.
I have been using UC browser for very long time to watch online videos. Uc has its default browser which is very handy to use.
Now the India banned the UC browser, its time to switch.
Now i am switched opera, the main issue is that when i play the website video it uses its own video player istead of default opera video player.
How can i use the website video to different video player, tried every browser firefox, dolphine, brave etc. However everyone is playing the same website video player which is very difficult to use.
So please suggest me how to do so. Used the mx decoder method by making it default also but its not working.
Waiting for someone to guide this poor soul toward the heaven....

Hi. You'll need to be more specific. Online videos as in what exactly. Embedded videos on websites or video streaming sites.
Can you give some example of the online videos for us to refer?
Personally i use samsung internet, with its useful built in ad blocking plugins..
You can try to check your browser settings. Here is mine on samsung internet.

Thanks for your reply,
I think i am talking about embedded videos, However, the Samsung internet works after applying this smart video assistant.
Can you suggest some more type of browsers having the same feature??
