Hi (=
I have problems with Wi-Fi in standby. I want my neo V to stay connected when in standby but it mostly disconnects. In the advanced menu in Wi-Fi I chose option one (never disconnect) but I don't think it helps; any other given option in this menu doesn't, either.
Does anybody else has this problem?

Got it...problem with FXP129. FXP128 doesn't have this issue. Hope it'll be solved in next ver.

I've been getting Wi-Fi errors. Whenever I click the Wi-Fi button, 1 out of 4 times there's an error. When I type in *#*#526#*#* to start the Wlan test, the status is 'Driver loading unsuccessful'. Also, have noticed that whenever the Wi-Fi is on and the phone goes into sleep mode, it doesn't boot. I get these SOD's (Sleep Of Death) most of the times. Have to reboot everytime. Running stock 2.2.1 rooted Ace.
Does anyone have the same problem and is there a solution?
Should I replace the phone?
try to update to latest version XXKPH and switch your wifi policy to never.

why is every kernel having the WiFi problem- WiFi gets disconnected even if WiFi policy is set to never
hope developers have an answer to it..
Nope, it's ROM/router/you. Not kernel.

i am using oxygen rom v1.1 and my router is perfectly fine
so what could be the problem?
i remember that with the stock v10E 2.2.2 rom wifi was working fine but now it gets disconnected after aprrox 30 secs whe i turn off the screen
and yes on the notification bar it appears to be connected but actually its not
Honestly idk - i got that on mik's 6.5.7, but never on stock roms(i think). problems with wifi on sleep came after i change router.
Config your rooter again, if it doesn't help then you should HARD reset your router

Hi.. new tab s owner here... been using android devices for a couple of years now.. current phone is xperia arc..
So is there any way to enable haptic feedback on the tab? Or does it simply not have. The hardware capability to enable this?
And secondly... i've upgraded to the most current firmware... and set the wife sleep policy to never... but it still seems to switch off when the screen goes off...is this a known bug? Is there a workaround? Or a fix?
Thanks.

Use advanced wifi locker.. works like a charm for wifi locking.

There is no haptic feedback on the Tablet S
I am having wi-fi issues as well. I changed the policy to always on but then it got very buggy. I had to reboot several times because it would drop and connect constantly.
Come on ICS release! Can't wait for the new update!
All - as a reasonable workaround I've installed "green power free" and set it to enable the wifi for 1 minute every 15 minutes to sync my accounts without knackering the battery!
I used Wifi locker.. but it was draining the battery so fast I could barely get a day out of it.. today.. It's been unplugged for 15ish hours and I'm at 50%.. much better!

She would get real grumpy, real fast.
As to the feedback, that is the first thing I turn off on any device. the Sony does not have it available.
I don't need my device to sync while inactive, so I have no idea about the wifi enabling.
Hello.
I've been having WiFi issues since I installed 4.0.3.
This issues never happened when I was in 2.3 gingerbeard.
By issues I mean:
-WiFi connects for 5 secs and then gets disconnected
-WiFi range is shorter. I'm standing next to the router I'm getting lower singal
Because I didn't want to install gingerbeard edition, I installed Xperia Ultimate HD™ 2.0.3 Custom Rom in the hope of the WiFi issues get resolved.
I searched google and most users suggest going back to gingerbeard.
How can I resolve these WiFi issues without going back to gingerbeard?
Try 4.0.4 stock WiFi modules!

I come from Italy and I updated my device on March, as everyone, I think. My device is now perfect except the wifi. The wifi disconnect during the stanby and it connects only using the static mode. I also have this problem even if I changed the wifi option for the stanby in "always". Another strange thing is that the wifi is reported as one of the main cause of consumption, as it is shown in the screeshot
I'm having WiFi issues as well since MM. It's set to Active on Sleep, but whenever I wake my tablet, it's disconnected and having much difficulties to re-connect.
I assumed it was some Xposed thing I'm running, haven't tested it 'clean'. Also, I'm on AndroPlusKernel v22. Not v22a yet.

Hi,
For the static mode try to change the DHCP client in the setting->developpers option.
Where are the developper options?

Same problem here
Version .163
Stock kernel
Wifi standby settings to "always"
5Ghz wifi
Sometimes (not always) wifi disconnected after standby
DHCP working here
Maybe it is linked to wifi router problems during standby. I had wifi problems already before MM (! sign at wifi symbol). Maybe the difference now is that it isn't reconnecting in standby anymore after wifi failure. But just a guess...
At least it's not how option "always" should work...

Hi,
Maybe it's related to your router lease time that send a new DHCP address after lease time. Check if the lease time is set to "permanent"

Thanks for reply. It's set to three weeks, so not the reason.
(But even then it must renew the lease and not stop the wifi.)
I'll get new router soon, let's see if something changes...

I have the same issue but I actually have the turn off wifi in sleep enabled but it still shows up that its being used in sleep when I look at battery
The problem:?*
I connect it to the Wi-Fi and it works fine for about 5 minutes. As I'm watching YouTube videos every 5 minutes the video pauses and starts to buffer until it eventually say connection lost. Meanwhile the tablet still claims that Wi-Fi is still connected and with full connection. This also happens with web pages and apps that require and internet connection.
Temporary fix:
Turning Wi-Fi off and back on again fixes it, but only for a few minutes.
What have I tried to fix it?
I've tried everything from a factory reset to a software repair.
OS: Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)?*
Build Number: 32.1.A.1.185
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

Same I was having it on lollipop too. They told me to send it in for repair but I just ignored them cuz there's no point. It's a software issue not a hardware issue. They're not going to find anything wrong with my tablet. It's in perfect condition.
