Titanium Backup question - Galaxy S III Q&A, (US Carriers)

While browsing through the back up files in titanium backup, I came across a file called fwupgrade. Would freezing this file keep you from accidentally excepting an update an loosing root?
This is on Verizon BTW

[Q] Samsung Galaxy SII

Hi guys i have a samsung galaxy s2 and the phone is amazing no doubt about that but the dissapointing thing i have realised is i can backup all my contacts etc. but i cant back up my apps at all which i really need.
I do not want to root my phone because i can not take the risk of bricking it and all i need to know is there any way i can backup all my apps onto pc or somewhere.
The only reason i need to backup is because i have heard that when you update the phone's firmware it removes everything.
Last but not least if i got a micro sd card would i be able to back up all my apps to it and then restore from it as well.
Thanks guys.
-My backup free/pro
-on the fly backup
Can be found in market.

[Q] Backup Assistant+Media is frozen but still running somehow

I updated to Jellybean yesterday and forgot to use Voodoo so I lost root. I rooted again and started to freeze all the bloat using titanium backup. Backup Assistant is frozen but it still runs for some reason. The service that is running through backup assistant+media is called Backup Manager Service. How do I make it stop? I can`t find anything in the all apps section that is obviously something to do with it.

not sure if this is a dead thread but this is the File Name. It looks like a regular android file but its Verizon bloat. After i disabled it, no more media backup.

[Q] Titaniumbackup Help Needed!

Ok, so i have made backup via titaniumbackup earlier. i installed few custom roms to my Samsung galaxy S3 and restored my apps succesfully to that rom. however i didnt like those roms that much so i installed the old stock rom back. this process unrooted my phone, now im running stock galaxy s3. i went to play store and downloaded titaniumbackup + the pro license which i have. i went to the app and saw there were no backups or anything, i went to my phone files and saw my titaniumbackup folder to be emty for some reason.
Now the question, after i did backup to my phone earlier, i copied titaniumbackup folder(with app files data etc) to my pc.
Is it possible to do a succesfull backup of these files if i copy the titaniumbackup folder to my phone? (apps+data are in that folder)

In order for Titanium Backup to work you'll need to re-root your phone because you mentioned you lost root when restoring the stock ROM. After you have regained root access place the contents of your previous backup into the empty Titanium Backup folder then use Titanium Backup's restore function to restore the backup you transferred from your computer to your phone.

[Q] MDK S4 to ME7 S4 migration issue

Hey guys,
First post here... please help!
I'm migrating from a rooted MDK S4 to a rooted ME7 S4.
I took a nice Nandroid backup using CWM on the MDK S4.
ME7 is rooted but no CWM or TWRP so I can't restore the Nandroid backup as I normally would
Tried Nandroid Manager pro AND MyBackup Pro root separately (with a factory reset in the middle) on the new ME7 S4... but whenever I restore apps + data, most of the replaced apps crash. Like Nova launcher will crash over and over
When I uninstall a crashing app and reinstall from Play store, it works perfectly! Restoring my data on top of that app works fine too. I just have ~140 apps and can't do this manually.
I've tried MyBackup's migrate feature -- same results.
Bolded my problem above. Any idea why these apps would be crashing on the new S4? I wish there was a way for me to tell Play to download all my apps to the new device and then just drop my data in on top!
Thanks guys

App backup disallowed in Helium?

I'm trying to back up ALL my apps on a Galaxy S7 Edge (stock ROM, unrooted) to be moved to a new LG (so SmartSwitch doesn't work). I used Helium to make a backup, but there were many apps that is said were "backup disallowed". How do I back these up?
Thanks
