Hi all,
So I like the stock ICS/JB scrollable calendar widget but it's not very useful since it only shows events 7 days out. I know there are a ton of third-party calendar widgets out there but most don't look very good or don't show event colors, etc. What I'd like is an exact clone of the stock widget but with the simple modification of showing 30 or 60 days out.
I found source here: https://github.com/android/platform...calendar/widget/CalendarAppWidgetService.java
There is a MAX_DAYS variable which is set to 7 which is then used to set a SEARCH_DURATION variable. I'm not certain but this may be used in fetching events.
I am familiar with the SDK and creating apps but have never created a widget. I'm not sure if this code can be taken to make a widget with the desired modification. Do you think this is possible?
Thanks!

I've only been poking around in this amazing device for two days now, and thanks to these forums and the amazing mods submitted by the developers, I have been able to change all of the icons except one. Even though the Facebook icon is updated under the start menu, I cannot for the life of me get it to change in quicklinks. My reading of the forms has led me to the registry, and yes the startup icon points to the right path. I've noticed (and this may be the crux of the problem) that every time I reboot, sense creates a new start icon_htc_facebook png and qtc file in the Windows folder. My question is, is there any way to get the new Facebook icon to appear in quick links or am I stuck with the default Facebook icon? Again thanks to the developers for all the cool stuff and advice which is been posted on this website. PS I'm looking forward to a fully working version of android for this device. Keep up the good work guys.
Hi everyone,
I'm very new at this site and not sure if it is the right place post the thread but anyway.
A friend of mine and I are especially interested in cooking Cookie Home Tab widgets. We are located in Russia and primary doing iPhone development but I have some win mo relevant experience.
We got a few things working like google search and notes.
As for now it is buggy and design is ugly=)
We'll continue our work and finally I hope will release a widgets pack.
I'd like to get some help :
1. Please vote for widgets that you like most of all
You can post Android or Yahoo widgets links for reference
2. We are looking for a designer who can make it all look better and work on skin packs
I will put it all together at my site next week.
Please let me know your thoughts
I would appreciate any feedback
You really want to post this in the Themes and Apps section and see what response you get there this is the Rom Development thread .
Also I'd find the original Cookie CHT thread and send a message to the creaters of this Application .
That would be the best place to start .
I really would like to have a widget for the alarm clock. Even a shotcut would be handy. For further improvments, it could show if the alarm is active and remaining time until the alarm.

Hi
I have looked everywhere for a widget that displays the information from the status (notifications) bar..
Does it exist ?
I am thinking about something simple, like just text:
K-9 Mail - 9 new emails
SMS - 3 new messages
Battery - 81%
etc... etc...
(I know this can be acomplished with tasker and stuff, but its too much hassle imo...)
Yep im been looking too. No luck.....
1.4 ghz dragon vibrant
old thread... but I found this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lejzer.android.notifications
It does the job but unfortunately I would need something which includes a filter to not show all programs (ie: blacklist).
I sent an email to the developer, it's an old soft but who knows
Cheers

Now on market: Search for "MotoGP 2012 Schedule widget"
Hi Guys,
There must be a lot of MotoGP fans out there like me who want to stay in sync with the Race calendar through their android phones.
Searched on the market a lot for a light weight widget which shows upcoming race Found some good ones but then idea of creating my own widget for my phone came. It came out good hence decided to share it with others as well.
The screenshots and the apk are attached.
This widget doesn't connect to internet nor it accesses any resources on the phone.
It shows Race Date, Next Session (FP1, FP2, etc) and its timing converted to local timezone, Race Name, venue, etc.
How to use:
- Long press on an empty spot in your homescreen (preferably an empty screen itself since the widget is little big)
- Select 'Widgets'
- Select 'MotoGP Calendar Widget'
I tested this on HTC EVO 3D, Nexus One, HTC Incredible using Go Launcher and Default Sense.
Venturing for the first time into the world of android apps. Your suggestions, feedback, complaints are welcome though please be gentle on criticism
Disclaimer: All the images that are displayed are from the following link and I take no ownership of it: motogp.com/en/calendar+circuits
I am in no way connected to Dorna Sports or MotoGP nor working for them nor is this an official app.
PS: Hope I have posted this on the right section. If not my apologies in advance and please move this thread appropriately.
Hi,
I've been using Dsixda's Android Kitchen for a while now, but have arrived at a roadblock. I need to move around the Icons on the homescreen, and add some. At the moment it has: Camera, Gallery and Browser. I would like to add Settings and Remove the pro-tips widget.
Any Help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
