Newt already posted in his latest change log for his RC2 Rom that camera was fixed! But it can't hurt to have Joelz fix just incase right?

Fasho..would love to see an update on your cm9. I tried your bamf S a while ago and it was extremely smooth w/chads kernel compared to newts. Especially the homescreen was perfect no glitches or skipping keep up the good work and loving the progress good luck with it all!

yea next weekish or maybe the weekend depending on how much time i have really...only minor bugs to squash and tweaks to port...this is also an animations fix not just cam

i run stock leak kernel on my rom..since it currently has everything working..and since i dont have source..i decided to fix animations rom side

Thanks for the mod, so making sure I can use this with newts rls 1 right.? And will you using the leaked kernel, will that keep me from using your Rom since I'm not on that black plague also known as the vm firmware.?

i did read the article and if you were aware you would know that we don't have an Official Cm9 Rom as the one we do have is unofficial being made by kushdeck
first thing is we have to get kernel source.
Hopefully they get official cm support but I'm not holding my breath

Correct me if I'm wrong... but aren't all CM9 builds considered "beta"? So by them freezing the builds, that means they're close to having an official release of CM9...this is a good thing for us since once our kernel is released, it'll be easy to have a very stable port of CM9.

yea they are but some of the are being developed by people on CM team and we still don't have source code for our phone yet
I would post your link in decks thread and see if he will speak to it. He'd be able to answer better than anyone.

This is all that kept me from the Aosp roms! My office gets excellent 4G and like 0 3G. It was impossible to stream music. So happy!!!!!
This is the best news I've read in quite some time -- well that and ICS going OTA for the GSM 3D's. Looks like things are really picking up now for those of us that stuck around!

CM9 will definitely have it but for AOKP, that depends on aaronpoweruser implementing it. I'm pretty sure it will be easy for him since he can see how CM9 got it running and do whatever they did.
It might be sometime available sometime in July but I'm not quite sure TBH. No ETAs!

I don't think so. I believe they are waiting for the ICS source code and Kernel source for the update once it rolls out then we may be able to get somewhere.

So, with the recent release of HTC kernel source for the LTE, does this mean we might see some AOSP love? The multitasking in Sense is killing me... I can't fathom how my OG EVO performed better than this phone (not faster, just better).

There are already some "almost fully functional" AOSP ROM's in the Original Development section. I'm sure the recent release of source by HTC will help. All in due time. The OG was an amazing device for development and hopefully the LTE will be there soon.

Jeez, this is just like one of those games of telephone where the initial message gets really really warped and confusing.
kernel.org is not down. It was hacked last year but has been back up for months. Google searching provides no news story beyond August of last year.

I'm also anxiously waiting an AOSP based rom for the LTEvo. I'd love to see AOKP and/or CM9 on here ... anyone know if work is being done to fix the issues with either of those roms on this phone? (Or any musings of official support?)

Indeed, jellybean is coming! There's a discussion on the CM9 thread about CM10 and jellybean (Deck has a bootable build!) exciting times.
Also there's a pure AOSP non-CM build by preludedrew on his twitter that you can download and test. No radio is working atm so it would just be a proof of concept of how Jellybean runs (spoiler: superfast) on our phone. Check it out if you want but keep your nandroid backup nearby.

Sorry but almost working sorta kinda ports are not gonna cut it .. I do appreciate what these devs are doing just think they may need some extra "umph" to move em along.
They are building from source. These aren't half assed ports.

It has NO CM9 traces other than the stuff in the settings menu and the CM Stats (gotta figure out how to eliminate that, used to be an APK) but its small, no CM Apps, and optimizes the hell out of your system!
Hi.. I notice in one of the screenies it shows your using the same kernel i believe from cm9 devil toast. The last version of devil toast i used was 7.1...Rom was great aside from the battery....I assume its about the same with this rom? Only reason i ask is in your future update thing it mentions better battery......Still gonna give the rom a try....just have too..:laugh:

yeah it uses agrabren's base and kernel, but I used the latest CM base (Devil Toast 0.7.4) and it had GREAT battery life from what people reported, this will make it better
Just as I go to see if you had paranoid up, & I see this. Just kicking ass & taking names today aren't you. Is 3D working in this? I didn't see it in OP, or answer from the other question about 3D.
