Hi, i just got this HTC flyer and i rooted it with no problem i noticed ever since i turned it on though i was unable to get the weather it always just says "No weather forecasts available"
So i want to try to unroot it and maybe someone can give me a link to get the stock RUU that it comes with.
I also noticed that my
HBoot is 6.10.1002
Is this suppose to be this version?

That's not how this forum works. Post how you fixed it, so others can benefit from your experience.
My HBOOT is 1.07 x___X ..... got that too ? I need help with rooting
I'm new around and had a Q: How can I un-root the EVO View tablet, its running GB 2.3.4 with s-off.
I've done dozens of searches and any ruu backups I've found for a stock restore has been dead links. I would like to be able to upgrade to HC.
Is there any way to do this?
See the flyer development forum. The info is there to un-root and S-On for the View/Flyer
Thank you I'll go check it out.

It was rooted using "revolutionary"
Ok was looking around and I still need the RUU for my Evo View that was on GB 2.3.4 all the links I've been finding are dead, is there any way to just do a straight upgrade to HC rather then have to find the RUU I need??
I have the current HC RUU file, I don't care for keeping my View rooted I found no major benefits besides removing junk apps.
Any help plz!
Update to rezound is now available for anyone who cares
any way you can get a link to the OTA link for me? Or upload the zip file it downloads?
I really wish the update could be integrated to all the GB roms
Sent from my HTC Rezound
I never received the ota update last month or so. Not worried about that, as far as quality of the rezound...the phone is great...my concern is the ICS update. If i didnt get the verizon update, will i not get the ICS also? If any body has any answers, please post. Ive searched around and only found that many people have not gotten the ota, but no follow up about ICS. I do know that one is a verizon update and ics will be a google update. ty
Have you tried manually fetching the update? Are you rooted and rommed?

Simple Fix, get a new Sim card (never used) and let the phone auto activate (power up and let phone auto dial to activate on it's own, takes about 30-60 seconds), once activated pull the OTA(make sure the batteery is well charged). It'll download without the replacement hassles or HTC mail-in flash.
So I sent an email to Telus to ask when the update to ICS for the Amaze would be released by Telus. Here is the response I received today:
Hello Mark,
The Android 4.0 was already released last January 2012.
To manually check for software updates on the HTC Amaze 4G, please follow these steps:
1) Go to Home.
2) Go to Menu.
3) Go to Settings.
4) Go to About Phone.
5) Go to software updates.
6) Select check now. Once an update is available, the following message is displayed: A system update is available, would you like to download the following system software.
Follow the instructions on the screen to update.
Can anybody with a stock Telus Amaze confirm this?? I am rooted and running the energy rom so an OTA update will not show up. Should I revert to stock and see if it shows up?? Or can another Telus customer try it and let us know.
Revert to Stock and check.
If it works then let us know and I will work on more progress

Can someone point me to instructions for this. Do I need to relock the bootloader, install stock recovery? What order? I found the stock RUU but it seems to be an exe file and I'm not sure how to do it. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure I don't think you could receive OTA's on rooted/custom ROM phones.
I don't know.
I don't get it. If there is a version of the Amaze out there that got the OTA ICS update then why are there no ROMS for this phone? I mean ICS ROMS?

Which is why I want instructions on how to revert to stock.
yeah, and if we can get a dump of his phone with ics on it. it will make our lives alot easier since there arent many differences between the telus amaze and the tmobile amaze
Too bad I didn't know this before I switched.
I am with Mobilicity on a custom ROM, but the phone came from a Telus user. I could have updated before but I didn't know it was available.

I'm sure the OTA would be enough to build a custom ROM off of. You wouldn't necessarily need a complete dump of his device.

Flash this ROM then check for software OTA's.
Highly unlikely Telus released ICS two months ago and nobody found it...but I guess you never know.

Flash the ROM I gave you the stock 2.3.4 ROM then.
1) Go to Home.
2) Go to Menu.
3) Go to Settings.
4) Go to About Phone.
5) Go to software updates.
6) Select check now. Once an update is available, the following message is displayed: A system update is available, would you like to download the following system software.
seems highly unlikely...no leaks anywhere? i call shenanigans...

Well the OTA is downloaded to the device prior to flashing it to the device. I'm not quite sure which directory but I know I've found it before. He would just need to extract the update zip prior to flashing.

Actually you need to ReLock your bootloader and flash a stock non rooted ROM so no chance at all for us..
