I think the CWM is in the kernel, so, as long as you have the kernel, you'll have cwm

There is no stock rom zip.
If you flash a firmware with flashtools than you will lose cwm cause the kernel will be replaced.

You need to install kernel and ROM both, this kernel is not compatible with stock ROM. Go to Recovery to install ROM.
can you give me the step by step explanation my friend?
because i ussualy flash the kernel first,
should i flash the rom first via cwm?
just flash the kernel, put the kamarush rom on your micro sd card, boot to cwm on the new kernel, wipe everything out, install zip and reboot to system that should do it.
If you Flashed Kamrush's kernel first then you'll have to flash his ROM. His ROM only works for 4.0.4. If you haven't put his ROM on your SD Card, ull need to put it on and flash it through CWM. But if you dont want ICS just flash someone else kernel and your phone should work again. Your choices are:
X kernel
Rage Kernel
Boof Kernel
Those work with 2.3.4
thanks but my problem is when i finished flash the kernel my phone do not booting into system after i flash the kernel,so i cant flash the rom via cwm
ok just press volume down several times on the sony logo until it takes you to cwm that is the way you enter to cwm in custom kernels
the sony logo did not appeare after flash the kernel...i try other kernel and works, but this kernel (rc3) did not works in my pnone
did you downloaded the right kernel?? this rom and kernel supports 4 devices.

Kernel is properly installed. You need to install the ROM via Recovery. Make sure the ROM .zip file is on the SDcard.
When screen gets brighter during starting, click Volume DOWN button many times until you enter the recovery. Then install zip from sdcard and choose it.
Try flashing the kernel manually using the terminal commands or update Flashtool (that might be your problem)
Hi, I have a Galaxy S2 with stock ROM 4.0.3 and stock Recovery. I wanted to know if there is a way of flashing Custom Rom without rooting the phone or ADB. Would this method work? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1501719 I would just proceed till the step "Choose CWM.zip and wait until CWM recovery appear." Would this work? i need custom recovery so i can flash a custom ROM.
Thanks again
No you cant flash a Custom ROM from stock recovery, you need a custom recovery and root access on your phone for flashing custom roms
the method you linked is only for rooting, the recovery appearing is only a temporory one from which you can only install SU-Busybox-Installer.zip.

I didn't test it myself, but I think that it will work.
If the custom ROM is provided as Odin-flashable tar file, you don't need a CWM recovery to flash it. Just put the ROm tar file into PDA section of Odin and flash it to your phone.
Only if the custom ROM is available as CWM-flashable zip file, you need to flash a kernel containing CWM recovery first.
I prefer to flash CF-Root kernel from Chainfire with Odin. It contains CWM Manager app and CWM recovery of cause.
When you are in doubt, stick to the flashing instructions of the ROM developer - usually in the corresponding ROM thread.
P.S.:
As soon as you have CWM recovery, create a nandroid/system backup.
So you will be able to go back to your current system, if something goes wrong with the new ROM.
Good luck !
Oh cool, lemme try it

All you need to do is download cwm recovery from here http://clockworkmod.com/rommanager in your SD card and flash the Dowloaded zip from stock recovery .
Once you flash, your stock recovery will be converted to cwm recovery
After that flash any custom rom of your choice. Simple and short

No you can flash any ROM you want, just like any other cwm.
I have used it multiple times, but the Queston is can you do it the first time, before you choose that busy box installer.
Edit: yes you can flash any rom just fine
Pressed quote twice..

Today i flashed (zip file) my SXS to MIUI latest version, but after installation i feel bad and i want to flash Dualcore rom. But when i tried to enter into recovery mod nothing is happening. Before flashing MIUI ROM i had a CWM recovery (after flashing the rom i didnt do any CWM recovery flashing), so i cant flash from sd card. Can anyone help me to enter into recovery??
Flash stock ftf, root it, install cwm, and then flash [email protected] core rom.
And if you unlocked your bootloader, flash advanced kernel by arakmar and then flash [email protected] core rom.

i just mean to say that tha CWM recovery shouldn't be gone when changing rom and in my case my CWM recovery is always wiped when i install a stock based rom .
I think the only solution is this: Immediately after flashing the new rom, flash a new cwm zip that installs cwm itself That way, you never lose the recovery so long as you dont forget to install it

No point in not trying this
If the bootloader locked cwm will wiped after flashing new rom,if you unlocked the bootloader the cwm will not wiped until you flash ftf file

Only if the kernel you have is including a CWM recovery Also, if the rom you flash contains another recovery, you lose CWM with it But, yeah I think Khalil's suggestion and mine are the closest you can get to a permanent CWM
noway on this earth you can have CWM permanent.. you flash the stock ftf again and foops its gone... sope alway keep the CWM recovery handy like the other flashin softwares you use...

Yes, aslong as you have cwm you can then flash zip of your choice. The zip will also flash new kernel which has perm cwm.
Depending on which rom you flash, afterwards I would then go back into recovery (cwm) and flash Siyah kernel.
