I have an unrooted S3 and wanted to permanently romove Picasa pics from the gallery.
In apps manager, I cleared cache, data and disabled gallery. Then removed Google account and restored it, but when I went back to app manager to re-enable gallery it had gone!!!!!!

[Q] Sharing pics to Picasa

Hey, today, when trying to share some of my photos to Picasa, I stumbled on theproblem. I can select Picasa, but then, "Add Google account" screen appears. I logged in, but then it said that this accound already exists on this phone.
Also, I dont see Picasa option in Google account syncing in Settings, therefore no picasa pics in gallery. How to make Picasa work on my phone, especially sharing?
I can upload using JustPictures app, but I would rather use system Gallery app.
Thanks..
I had the same problem....and i was already using my gmail account.
Dunno why...but i solved rebooting the phone. I found also an app "picasa tool" that is much better, is free if you want to try
Rebooting didn't solve anything.. But PicasaTool is great, better than JustPictures, as I can share directly from gallery thanks

Did you try removing your account and readding it? This may a little extreme but you could try a factory data reset too.
Good luck

That is Picasa pictures sync. To disable, go to Settings->Accounts&Sync->(Enable auto-sync at the top if disabled or you won't be able to uncheck it)->Google->Disable Picture Picasa Sync.
Go back and uncheck Auto-Sync if needed.
If you want to stop seeing them in the Gallery, go to Settings->Apps->Gallery->Delete Data
If needed, you can also go to SdCard->Android->Data and delete the 2 folders containing 3dgallery (com.android.3dgallery and another with similar name).
I just did it before writing it for you

Have you done all the previous steps about disabling Google Picasa Sync and deleting Gallery data in Settings?

No sync to picasa in ICS ver?

I really like how my photos in picasa and blog spot synced to my gallery in HC...
But somehow it doesn't show up in ICS version? The option isn't even showing in the account setting...
Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks...
On Google account sync, enable sync Google photos.

Running TMo's honeycomb i didn't have a problem....all Google photos were in my gallery. Now after installing Huawei's S7 303u ICS release, my gallery is empty. Google photos are checked to sync and everything....

That sounds like the way to go, however, I'm not rooted. I've avoided rooting this device in fear of loosing 4G data through T-Mobile. Do you think there's any other way to get around this?

How to Stop FB Pics from Showing in Gallery

I've already stopped the sync for FB albums, cleared the data on gallery, and restarted. However, this has proved to only be a temporary fix. Does anybody else know what could be the problem?
Thanks.

Is it your Facebook app? Did you tell it to sync contacts when you installed it? Touchwiz only syncs calendar and albums by default, not contacts.

I had it sync with existing contacts. But, I'm telling it not to sync albums and yet they appear in my gallery.

not sure if it is exactly what you are looking for but from within the Gallery app, you can hit menu, view by, and then pick Content in Device.

Please help DELETE INSTANT UPLOAD FOLDER ON PHONE?

Hi guys, i've been trying to do this for hours...i have read many many many posts. I have turned off all sync option to google plus and picasa...i am not uploading anything to google plus or picassa. On my google plus account i have deleted ALL my albums and photos...same on picassa. But for the love of god i can not delete them from my phone. I have cleared the cache, tried rebooting and NOTHING has helped. PLEASE HELP. I need them off of my phone.
Your settings in the Google + are probabily on auto sync, or some settings there. If nothing help, than uninstall Google + . If your Google + is system apk, than you can uninstall with some debloater or best with Titanium Backup apk.

but i don't have any pictures in my google plus account..yes it's apk. I can't delete it. i'm not rooted.
I called Sprint and spoke to a tech. What you need to do is go to your Gmail on the web browser in desktop mode. Click on the tab that says "more", then click on the tab that says "drive." Make sure you're still in desktop mode on the "Welcome to Google Drive" screen. On that screen you're going to want to select the "more" tab again and a drop down selection box appears and you want to select the "photos" option. Once in there, you should be able to delete single photos or entire albums from instant upload. Once deleted here, they no longer appear on your device. I just did it, and t worked like a charm.*Good luck!
