Anyone have a deodexed framework.jar file (from ICS firmware)?
I know that lot's of people are having problems deodexing framework files, but I just need this one to a small mod, and I can't do it with framework.jar odexed...

No big hope.
I try to modify framework.jar to return to bounce overscroll instead of blue overscroll glow of new XXKI3.
This mod will not work on odexed KI3, but can someone try this file on a deodexed KI3 ?

This is just a file, not an update
You need to make a backup first of framework.jar
You need to know how to use ADB
You need to have a kernel with auto su and su in CWM recovery

This is not working when odexing back for odexed firmwares but perhaps it is like overscroll glow mod (wasn't working on odexed firmware)

Hi, I don't find SystemUI.apk in my STREAK 5 2.2.2. Where do I have find it?
It doesnt exist, it's only on Android roms 2.3.x and newer
Do I need the SystemUi.apk for UOT Kitchen?
Only if you are creating a theme for a gingerbread rom. If you are creating one for a froyo rom, just upload framework-res.apk.

After trying several days to DEODEX an ODEXED ROM, I gave up because It's not working good for me, Bootloops, APK FC's and many more. So I decided to stick with ODEX Stock till someone does it properly. Im still new to this.
So since im on ODEX Stock -> I need to know whether its possible to -
* Mod PNG files inside APK's using Winzip
* Mod Framework-Res.APK to edit the XML "Bools" file to add CRT effect
* Use Deodexed APK's inside System/app folder
If the above is possible, are there things that I should keep in mind to not mess up the system ?

Does anyone have the stock systemui and framework-res in flashable zips for me? Because I want to revert some mods that I did, without having to install the entire stock rom and settings up my phone again for hours, and also because I'm lazy. For SK17i.

I am currently working on a rom for the Galaxy Note 2. I ran into a problem and thought that I might find some help here, I have created a themed framework-res.apk however when I combine it into the rom zip file and flash it it does not boot. For it to boot I need to first flash the rom (without the themed framework), boot, then flash the themed framework. The themed framework-res is from a different base of the rom so it might be the cause of this. I can redo the theming on the original framework from the rom but I made a lot of xml changes and would not like to redo those. Is there a way I can combine it into the rom zip file and make it work ?

Edit : Managed to solve by moving the xml and png files to the original framework from the rom
