Streak 5.
Build 15697 (353). Stock 2.2 AT&T
rooted with GingerBreak
My streak 5 won't charge when the device is powered off. It used to, and I loved being able to tough the power button briefly and get the % of charge. I am not knowledgeable enough to customize the device much. It took me a long time just to figure out how to root the thing. It did charge fine for several months after rooting. I've tried a factory re-set.
I did install ADW launcher, launcher 7 and home switcher for froyo and I've played around with some themes. I rarely use them. I would love to have the coolest, newest stuff on my streak 5. But, I can spend hours troubleshooting with no results.
Also...is there/ should there be a format for questions? I see a lot of titles that say "help me please" or some other un-necessary info. It makes researching so time consuming!
Some of the apps I have installed are Titanium Backup pro version, astro, gingerbreak, quickboot, superuser, home switcher for froyo.
I hope I've given you the information you need to help me.
it happens to me thou sometymz just the 3 leds glow, so remove battery for 15 sec and try

Beginning charge: 84%
Variables: 1 Dell issued cable, 1 Dell issued wall adapter. 1 HTC issued wall adapter. 1 Sony Vaio VPCCW21FX laptop (with the worst speaker on a laptop since 1999!)
TESTS:
Streak is on. took back cover off, which causes shut down. removed battery for a minimum of 15 seconds, but less than 1 minute. put battery back in. Streak is NOT on when plugged in charger to wall (outlet is varified as working with HTC EVO DESIGN) for 15 minutes. no noticeable effect (no lights. no response when the power button is touched to see charge status.) Dell cable is plugged into HTC wall adapter with the only Dell cable into a different and varified wall outlet for an additional 15 minutes. No noticeable effect. plugged in charger to laptop for an additional 15 minutes. Again, no noticeable effect. removed streak from laptop, and turned streak on. Battery charge at 83%. plugged in charger to Dell issued wall adapter and Dell issed cable. streak battery symbol immediately showed lightning bolt. Plugged in at 4:22pm. At 4:29pm charge was at 93%. Removed from Dell wall adapter and plugged into HTC wall adapeter. Charge continued.
As previously mentioned I've tried the factory reset.
I beleive my findings illustrate that the Dell issued wall adapter and cable are in working order. I think that this leaves the issue within the device itself: possibly the root apps.
One program I forgot to add earlier was busybox free. Other programs mentioned before: astro, busybox free, gingerbreak, home switcher froyo, launcher 7, quick boot, superuser, titanium backup (only paid version). Of course there are other apps installed, but these don't seem to have the ability to effect the streak much. Those other apps don't require root.
I don't know exactly when the streak stopped accepting a charge when it was off, but it did NOT happen directly after rooting.
On a side note, I'm concerned about updating apps. The risk is the app not working properly, and having to go through the trouble of seeking out the older version that did work. Is it worth the risk? Why update if everything is working properly?
I hope that the members here are able to help me. Deysmacro, I believe you are mistaken.

Please look at the attached photos. I do not think anything is broken. But, I really don't see the pins that you speak of. It doesn't look like the pins of an old printer connection.
Thank you for this ongoing support.
no u got it wrong the one inside the streaks port (straight golden color pins) u hav taken d pic sideways btw count dem all are der 15 pins, or d pin (from left, first pin) is it broken or bend ?? chek d image

Madhatter,
I have taken another 2 pictures. Both are the same area of the Streak 5. This is the port where the charger plugs in. In the previous picture it looked slightly different because of the otterbox.
Please look carefully: the area looks different than yours. I do not notice any damage.
I have taken the battery out, waited 15 seconds, replaced battery but left the cover off, and plugged in the charger. There was no effect. I removed the cord from the wall adapter and plugged it into the laptop. Again, no effect.
If I could find someone in this area that has a Dell Streak I'd ask to borrow their cord. If there is a "pin" broken in the dell streak 5, I can't see it. But, its very hard to see inside there.
Thank you for your continued help.

By "charger" do you mean wall adapter power supply? I have plugged the cord into my laptop, my HTC wall adapter power supply and my dell power supply.

won't charge Software?
Does anyone think its possible that this is a software issue?
If it is a hardware issue, there must be something not making connections, like MadHatter has said. So, this 15th "pin" that is different in my streak 5 by-passes the other mechanisms and turns on the streak5 at a basic level so that only basic functions work? interesting....
maybe deysmacro was right in the first place. Maybe it is a hardware issue. I hope its the cable and not inside the dell streak.
okay, try this, cut a scotch tape and put it on either side of ur connector starting from inside folding outside as in d pic, if pins r getting grounded by touching d connector so dis way it will b avoided, if dis too wnt work mayb d hardware/cable issue...be more carefull while inserting the pin into streaks port...

OK. Thank you again for your continued support. I tried the tape. Because I don't have the pins to puncture the tape, and because it slides into a slot almost like a video card, I could not get the cable to insert into the device. (That sounds confusing. I hope you understand.)
I am on the hunt for a cable to borrow. The problem is I'm in the USA. No one has a Dell Streak 5. AT&T doesn't keep any Dell Streak 5. BestBuy doesn't keep any Dell Streak5. I'll go during the day and ask the managers. If I appear to be a recurring customer they may call their distributors.
If it is the cord, I'll gladly buy a new one! If its the device I'll make due with it until I upgrade. I love my Dell Streak5.
It is so so cool!

Not sure whats wrong with it.. I cant seem to charge my touchpad. I tried my phone's charger but it said it provides lower voltage and instructed to connect to the charger that came with touchpad. When I connect the stock charger (one that came with the touchpad)...nothing happens and it doesnt charge.
You think my charger isn't working or is there any problem with the touchpad?
Thanks for your help guys.
Are you running the CM7 build?
im currently running webos.
That happened to my gf's charger/Touchpad. I know that her contacts are flaky when I use the her TP charger for my phone. My guess is to start there.
If you are stock, my money is on the physical contacts, second guess would be the charger itself is bad.
You mean try using my phone's charger for the touchpad?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using xda premium
Touchpads are very picky to the charging source. There is a hack that you can download to fix that. However I recommend taking the stock charger, twisting it so it comes into 2 pieces and twist it back together. HP may have made the charging requirements picky for a reason. Much like early iPhones.

My gf's tp has problem charging a well. Tried charging via mine and her wall chargers. Both would charge my touchpad but would not charge hers. It would tell me the same as if I was charging using a computer. Charged it overnight and battery was still dead. Tried using multiple cables as well with no luck. Tried charging via the touchstone. For the first 7+ hours, nothing happened, just a battery icon with a flash and red bar. I decided to call HP about the problem. Set up and RMA to get it repaired. 10 minutes after calling HP, the touchpad finally showed some sign of life when it started booting up. I tried switching to the wall charger but it doesn't show any indication that it was charging. As of now, it is being charged on the touchstone but dunno the status of it because I had to go to work. I will find out in the morning. But I will still RMA the tp as it doesn't seem to charge via the usb port.
If the battery was that flat mllk it's probably damaged anyway so an RMA is the way to go.
Does anyone know where i can get this charger hack that is mentioned?
My charger did not work out of the box and it was simply because it is a universal charger made to take new plug attachments that screw into and out of the mane charging body.
It takes a rotation until it clicks into place to be properly set and functional. It seems mine was not rotated all the way in place. I thought I broke the charger when it came apart when I was messing around with it until I found this fact and after I put it back together and twisted it until it snapped into place it has worked fine since.
I plan to get a touchstone charger for it down the line anyways I think just to reduce wear & tear on the usb port and also to make charging it a more simple affair.
Shame it does not seem to charge from PC, its a bit misleading being that its a usb cable.
Guys, I'm convinced the usb connector on my 9 month old TP is defective and gets worse each time I use it. I had bought a touchstone charger to ease the connector wear but still, I was eventually having problems with USB data connectivity using store bought cables. I even sent my TP in to fix the connector and when I got it back, still no USB connectivity. Just a completely wiped TP. So HP sent me one of their "genuine" silver dot cables and low and behold it worked fine. (My original cable was lost)
Now, months later, I'm having problems with the USB data connection again. I either get the "Not enough current message" in WebOS or no MTP USB symbol in CM9. Sometimes the PC will chime positively but with an error message (can't detect device). I received another genuine HP cable and it behaves the same as the other one. Inserting them normally, they appear to be in tight, the PC will chime but Windows will say that there's a problem, can't detect device. The only way to get it to work is to insert the microusb side at a 45 degree angle tilted downward and hold it in for 5 seconds, then (ever so slowly) release the pressure to the connector. 50% of the time I'll get a Windows message that says the USB is degraded and run slower than normal (which I think means it thinks its in USB1.1 slow xfer mode) and 50% it works fine at USB 2.0 (until I pull the cable out of the connector). I also have 2 store bought cables that won't ever successfully connect to USB with the TP but work fine with my Samsung cell in both charging and xferring music over to the phone.
So what I'm getting at here is that no standard microusb cable is the same and that there must be something special about the HP genuine one. Do these cables have a resistor on pin 4 ID tied to GND pin 5? Even so, I think what is wearing the most is pins 1 & 2 and maybe 3 (VCC and the data pins) which is why it may only work by concentrating on seating those pins first. Does it make sense that the 'can't detect device' message comes up with just the data lines and ground connected but no VCC? For that matter, why would the battery symbol in CM9 always show the lightning bolt assuming pin 1 VCC is not connected?
I'd appreciate any responses from other members here since I believe without USB the TP could be bricked in case some boot code gets corrupt and you are forced into WebOS recovery mode. This has never happened to me yet and I've installed a lot of nightlies but it COULD happen, no guarantees. What is inevitable is my connector will eventually wear out and my TP will only live until the bootloader DOES get corrupt, hopefully later than sooner. This could be the case with all TP's. Just imagine if in a couple of years everyone's TP's USB port goes bad. Sounds like the devs should figure out a way to fix a bricked TP wirelessly, if that's at all possible.
Thanks,
synchron
One of my Touchpad's had the same problem in Webos it said using wrong charger may not charge or something similar and with Android ie nightly the charging signal came up but it did not charge.
I spoke to HP and pointed out that I have 2 Tablets and that swapping leads or chargers made no difference all combinations worked on one but not the other.
They agreed to fix it and replaced the part. It is now working fine. And as with yours my computer failed to recognize the tablet properly.19 times out of 20 on the one time it did I was able to back up and remove Android before HP picked it up.
I would send it back under warranty or if that has expired state that it was preexisting. Otherwise as you said it is going to become pretty much unusable.
Don't let them fob you off.
Good luck

once u get an RMA they will send a box and take care of Shipping.
then go here to wipe and remove android

Thanx for your prompt responses. I bought my TP at the 2nd fire sale through BB in early Nov so I still got a few more months but I would rather wait a bit more since they did nothing the 1st time around. I think the connector is on some daughter board along with the vibrate device which is soldered to the main board. Doesn't sound like a big deal to repair it. Still, what makes the HP cable different then the others? Are there known cables I can get online that might be made better to always work and make better contact than the HP ones?

Thanks for your advice. Did they fix everything that was intended? Was turn around time no longer than 2 weeks for each repair? When was your last repair (busted speaker) done? Is your serial number the same or did you ever get a replacement (meaning a refurbished one) back?
Thanks

Hi all. I know this thread is really old, but I'm finding myself dealing with similar issues. And I'm obviously out of warranty. I can't get windows, linux, or Toolbox to pick up the USB. I'm actually in a worse case scenario mention here and am stuck in meboot, TWRP, and WebOS recovery, because I had wiped the rom. It must be an issue with the USB port, I've lost track of my original Hp touchpad OEM cable, and have tried every USB cable I can find. Any help would be appreciated.
Just replaced the charging port on my ATT SGII i777. Still not charging. Any ideas on what to try next?
The charge port I bought was for a i9100 but I was under the impression that they were interchangeable:
I've tried several chargers so I'm pretty sure it is not the charger,

Yes. Charger and cables. tried like 4 different one including two samsung ones.. I also plugged it into the computer and it is not detected at all.
After my original post, I noticed that my cellular service wasn't working either. Cleaned up the old port with a good dose of rubbing alcohol and a soft toothbrush and put it back in. Charger still not working but the cell service is back.
The markings on both boards say GT-i9100 and rev2.2 but the original says R.B82 and the replacement says says R.B84. I doubt that means anything.
Any other ideas or testing to do? Luckily I ordered an external charger and extra battery so I am not dead in the water.
Just a quick update - I bought several other charging ports before I finally found one that works. The one that worked was on ebay from muchbuy-outlet. I emailed them prior to purchasing. They said it would work and it did. Here is the link will expire at some point...

you know, I didnt use my i777 for 6 months, and I went to charge it and it wouldnt charge... It would just sit there with the captivate lights blinking rapidly like it wanted to start, and didnt... Long story short, I took the battery out of my i777 and used my t989 as a temporary charger just to get some juice in there (to about 10 %) and switched it back to the i777 and the i777 charged it no problem after that. I think there could be an issue with the i777 firmware which doesnt charge a battery that has gone to complete dead.
I have no issues charging or connecting to adb now

It is because the usb port that we have on our phone is not that great. Before I got my port fixed by Samsung, it would not be able to charge an empty battery, but now it is fine. Although sometime when the battery get too hot, it just through the phone in a loop of charging just enough to boot then shut down again.
You need I9100 gt model Rev 2.3 to replace sgh i777 At&t usb flex cable.
I just changed mine. Mine was rev 2.3. I got mine ebay at the "Cellphone-Repair-Shop" Search for "usb flex cable i9100 gt" model. It has to be the Gt model and it has to be The rev 2.3. So ask your seller before you buy. I believe the cellphone repair shop only sells 2.3.
I did put the Non-GT model in first because I read several reviews that it would work if I bought it from a specific store. This turned out to be a misplacement of many reviews. I am returning that one tomorrow. The wrong one charged for a day. Then nothing... and it caused all kinds of reception problems. Pretty much made phone useless.
Now with the Gt model in, when I connect to computer (wouldn't work before) it reads in explorer that this is a i9100 gt model phone. I do believe it is the new usb port that causes this to be read as a Gt i9100 and not the warning screen caused by rooting.
I wonder if this will cause any problems when flashing roms or anything else like otg usb mounting.

Just a quick update - I bought several other charging ports before I finally found one that works. The one that worked was on ebay from muchbuy-outlet. I emailed them prior to purchasing. They said it would work and it did. Here is the link will expire at some point...

Bud,
When I plug in my charger the charging circuit goes on and off. I have a tone that dings once (or makes a "BEDUP' sound) indicating the charger is charging and it sounds like a bell indicating that the charger circuit connects and disconnect even before the BEDUP sound can fully complete! LOL Well instead of just one 'bedup' sound it bedups then bedups again! and again etc. The actual indicator on the battery icon goes on then off in sync to the bedups. I suspect its the dock connector charging port but am not positive. I have two I777's; the second one charges fine with the same usb cable so the cable is ruled out. I also had trouble using ODIN and getting my drivers to load in windows "Intermittently", but only on the SUSPECT I777.
Sometimes I can get it to charge by holding the USB cable either pressed upward or downward but it I change pressure at all it will go out.
Were the actual metal strips on your dock connector worn out? That is what I am thinking my issue is. If so It will require another charging port.
After reading your post an reevaluating my issues I am even more sure it is the charging port, but would appreciate any input you may have about your experience!
Thanks for your input!

Hey, thanks for the info.
My i777 device has the same issue. But the item in the above link does not ship to my country.
So I checked on ebay for another S2 REV 2.3 usb flex cable and found this.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140959296482
But in the cable you have bought it says "R.CB4 28 GT-I9100 REV2.4" and on my selected cable it says "R.CA4 GT-I9100 REV2.4"
Is that a big difference or should I not worry about it?
Thanks!

Sorry I missed this but anyone having this issue should first try cleaning the port with a small brush (soft toothbrush or I used these: http://www.dentek.com/product/144/easy-brush-cleaners/) dipped in isopropyl alcohol. That may help (or not). If that doesn't solve the problem, you are going to need to swap out the charging port. -- Bud

It was hit or miss for me. I ended up buying tow before getting the 3rd to work. I finally emailed several sellers and bought one from a seller that told me it would work with the AT&T version and luckily it did. -- Bud
Help! My Samsung Galaxy S4 won't charge or connect to a computer. I've tried different chargers, cables, plug in locations, car, 110, computer. There is no dirt. Connection is clean. I have a spare battery and both of them will charge on the battery charger. I have tried backed up roms. I have done a factory reset.
All of this and nothing helped. Am willing to try anything. Verizon is going to send me a refurb.
Help please.

Is there any indication of a connection being made? If not, you should just wait for the refurb. If you have rooted, I really doubt Verizon will honor the warranty on the broken phone. I wish you the best.

sounds like contacts are on the phone side are damaged or the micro usb port is damaged.
Have you plugged into to a pc just to see if it can "see" the device and connect?
You stated it cannot connect to a pc, so i would suspect you have a bad micro usb port.
if you can connect, its not the port, and try taking an eraser and gently swabbing the contacts on the phone side.
also, make sure when you insert the battery there is an actual contact established. sometimes when pulling/pushing the battery in and out, those contacts sink further into the device and finally when you insert a batter the contact is very poor. you may need a tool or tweezer to just VERY, VERY GENTLY raise the contacts if they sunk in to far......but be careful not to pull too hard/much they can snap and you will probably void any warranty......

I am having the exact same problem. I have replaced the microUSB charging port on the phone and it still doesnt charge with the new port. I'm not sure what is going on. NEED HELP BIG TIME!!!
I'm having the same problem as well. It has been like that for bout a month or so now. I googled it and it seems to be a problem with the s3's and s4's. I'm not so worried about it as I have a spare battery charger and I have the wireless charging receiver on my s4 and it charges my phone just fine.
I had this exact problem I believe...tried several different chargers...everthing. Try turning the phone off and see if it takes a charge. When mine was off it would show a gray battery and vibrate every 5-10 seconds. I figured it was an issue with the charging/usb port but all of the sudden my phone started charging normally and is visible by a computer. Lasted for about 4 days and have been in the clear for about 3 days now. No clue what went wrong or why, but try what I mentioned above by charging with phone off for a half hour or so and see if it has charged at all. If you need a new USB port, not all GS4's have the same port, so you must get a verizon specific one (ebay). usually run about $20..or $65 installed at a phone fixing center. I didnt want to lose MDK, so I was prepared to just charge externally, but ended up not having to...yet
It happened to me also. I had some intermittent luck with blowing out the port with air from my air compressor. But in the end it just stopped working and Verizon sent me a refurbished one.
I Also have this problem!
PLEASE HELP!
I don't know why but my international galaxy s4 running cm 10.1.3 stable isn't charging...
I plug it in to the wall and nothing happens its as if the phone doesn't even know it's plugged in...

Have you tried powering down your phone and seeing if that gray battery comes up and you get the vibrations (while plugged into charger)? You may need a new port, but since your under warranty, you could get a replacement unless you want to charge externally
S4 problem after update to 4.3
Hy,
I have a similar problem with my S4 (i9505), won't indicate if it is charging or connect to a computer, but while the charger is conected to S4, the battery level is increasing. When the battery is fully charged S4 is SHUTING DOWN!!!! And it wont start by pressing ON/OFF button, it will only start after I press Vol Down+Power, after goes to Download Mode and press Vol Down .
Tryed in many ways to fix:
- restore-
- hard reset
- changed te battery and charger
-i\ve changed even the usb port (flex cable) and =no results...
All problem started after update to 4.3.... and it is not an isolated case too many people complains about this 'awesome smartphone' with 'awesome issues' .
So, if anyone have any ideea how to solve this issues....
{Sorry for my bad english}
Had the same problem...lasted for about a day, I had to take a dry q-tip and clean the charger and the port where the phone charges and was able to get it working again. If you are rooted and are having issues go to amazon or ebay and get a wireless charger and it should take care of your problems as well

Ok....wireless charger...but what about syncing with the PC?
Now I have JB 4.3 , for a custom ROM I need to use usb cable to connect to PC, rigth?.
For me it is annoying, because I do not know for sure if this is caused by updatind to 4.3 or is a harware problem.
My wife's phone had this issue last night and this morning; charger or computer, it wouldn't charge. I turned it off, took out the battery, SIM and uSD card and put them all back in. After that it started charging again. I don't know if this will solve the problem long term, but so far it seems to have done the trick...

Lucky you...I did more than that, but no result in my case. I found on ''community.verizonwireless'' many more similar cases where ''customers support'' tried to avoid giving the answers for a real solution.
Well, our luck didn't hold. My wife's S4 wouldn't charge again last night. I tried another Samsung charger and a different cable but it wouldn't work either. When we left the house she tried it on the car charger and it worked great. Trying various other chargers we found that a kindle charger wouldn't work, but other third party chargers would. Even her PC USB port seems to work and she doesn't have the drivers loaded. For now she replaced the Samsung charger and cable that came with her phone for one that came as part of an accessory pack and it's happy again.
I have no idea what's going on with the thing. I asked one of the guys at the Samsung booth in Bestbuy and all he had to offer was reflashing the ROM or un-rooting it and doing a warranty exchange...

Can you check, please, if your new data cable has 4 or 5 pins(look to the side that connects to your phone )?
My first s4 done this. So I ended up with a replacement mdk phone after I figured out if you bend the lil piece in the charging port of your phone (not too much BTW) the charger will slide into the port as it's meant to.
Sorry I can't remember the tech term for that lil pin inside the charging port.

Just going to throw this out there....
I think the S4 is compatible with QI compliant wireless chargers. Amazon has some that are only $20... might be worth the purchase.... hell if I didn't have this tank of a case on I would buy it.

Thanks for your answer, but I already did that....I even changed the flex cable with charging port, no luck for me.....
I think this issue it is not hw problem because, look what I did today:
-I put a new Rom , so I used MIUI FOR I9505 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2306650
And now it behaves even stranger:
S4 is ON and wall charger is conected, (LED IT IS OFF but BATTERY IS BLINKING and is charging ) after battery level go up to 100% and disconect the charger, the LED STARTS TO LIGHT GREEN!!!!
So, now shows that is charging when charger is NOT connected?

Try another USB cable they often break. If that doesn't work you can always get a Touchstone and the WiFi file transfer app. That should allow you to keep using the tablet like normal.
The usual HP TouchPad battery drain issues:
-If your battery is heavily drained, then you may need to leave it charging for a full day.
-When the battery is fully drained it can take the TP a longtime to reach even the lowest battery level.
-The USB cable that comes with the HP TP is often defective and breaks easily. Try using another USB cable if possible.
-The USB cable does not transfer enough power to effectively charge the tablet. You must use the wall plug when charging the HP TouchPad.
-To be safe don't let your HP TouchPad run out of Batteries ever! Install one of these free apps!
-You can add an automatic shutdown Rule by doing the following.
-AutomateIt, Play Store Link- What to do: New Rule/Trigger Battery level(Below 20%)/Action/Shutdown//save. Or
-Llama, Play Store Link- Location Profiles:Event tab choose + (at the bottom of the screen) Addcondition (battery Level Below 20%) Actions (turn off phone)

So I was bending over to pull an electrical cord out of the socket behind my entertainment unit, and I used my touchpad (in a case) to support my weight, I didn't realise that I had it cable side down, well just as I grabbed the power cord the usb cable gave way and I thought I had broken my touchpad too.
Anyway, I tried a new cable and it worked fine, these tablets may not be pretty, but they sure are tough.
Hope you have some luck in getting it fixed.

i use airdroid. cause its anoying to go in recovery to go in usb massa storage. mtp doesnt do **** op ICS
but yeah. maybe i will buy the charger. i like android tablet. but saw the asus transformer t100 tablet with dock keyboard windows 8.1 tablet. 350€ 32gb. but more interested in the 380€ 64gb.
but yeah damn 380€ much but its good for studies and things full windows. but still im gonna want my android tablet.
so i think i will buy one day the charger. but euh, if my battery is empty does touchstone charge it from dead? other wise im ****ed...
Had some problem but solved
Hi reggiexp,
I had the same issue of touchpad not charging. But i used my Nokia lumia charger plugged into TP when it is dead throughout the night and found it 48% charged in the morning after i switched on. When i reconnected the tp when it was on it came to full charge in an hour. Try this.
Please ignore the warning that the USB cable is not genuine which comes when you connect different USB cable.
Hope it helps!
Thought I would post this just in case anyone else is looking for a solution here. Purchased this off Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003ES5ZSW/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Doesn't cause pop any warnings while charging. Still using the plug that was sent with the touchpad and it is working better than the other one. Feels a little more secure while plugged in.
I'm a big fan of the touchstone.
However I sort of have the opposite problem as both of my Touchstone chargers have quite working. Each at different times. My suspicion is they suffered the same faulty cable fate. Unfortunately I won't be purchasing another as they are to expensive to replace at this point.
my touchpad colects dust now. its i think at 70% battery if not more i turned it of. and put it in a drawer Xd
sucks but yeah. i had a great time with it. was realy a BANG FOR THE BUCK, bust buy i ever made

Just a thought, but if you don't plan on using your Touchpad anymore, you could maybe consider donating it to a developer interested in toying with one? To broaden the support base of those still running this thing lol.
Or wait, so is the USB port dead or not? I thought an earlier post made it seem like it wasn't. Sorry if I misread lol.

Tried different usb cables. Nothing helped.
Think it needs a new usb connector. But i dont use it. And didnt even try to take it apart. Im way to laxy its a grest tablet. Wantrd to give it to my mom but if it doesnt charge well my mom wont have any use for it.
Found a usb board 16euro +10euro sending. But yeah is it worth it... Will try to take my touchpad apart to see if its realy broken. And maybe repair it so my mom has a tablet again.
