[Q] Software Update - Help

I'm having trouble with the Software Update feature and could use some assistance. I know there isn't a software update available for the Galaxy S II yet but I used to be able to go into the Settings menu ----> About phone ----> Software update ----> Check for update but now I get an error message ''Samsung Account Already added in account manager''. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

I have the same problem and when I go into Settings "accounts and sync", I don't see my Samsung account.
When I try to add a Samsung account , I am receiving the message "Samsung Account Already added in account manager''.
How can I delete my Samsung account?
Daniel
*Sorry for thread hijack*
Is this Software Update tool used for firmware updates through wifi/internet? Because it says no updates found (and yet there have been 3 firmware updates so far).
If not used for firmware, what does it update then?
I have found a solution: with Titanium Backup, in Samsung account, I have wiped the data and now I can create a new Samsung account.
Software updates works again .
re instale kieselguhr on your pc
Titanium Backup worked for me too... thanks for the hint m8..

[Q] Noob question: I've rooted and flashed how can I get my phone back to how it was?

Hi there, I think I may have messed the phone up a little, such as this MMI error message which comes up so I can't use speeddial, or any other # code for that matters, also I can't disable call forwarding, and a few other things.
This must have been the result of rooting, etc. Is there an easy way to get my phone back to how it was (basically how it would be straight from the manufacturer, no root at all, just exactly how it was when I first bought it brand new?), bearing in mind I have also flashed it 3 times?
Cheers.
it might help if you said what you flashed it with? Details.
But if you are just wanting to flash back to stock, here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
Read, and follow the instructions. They are very clear.

"Hi there, I first of all rooted my previously straight out of the box T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 using the xwkdd_insecure.tar (with Odin and SuperOneClick - I am a complete noob by the way, but this seemed to work after I followed a YouTube video), so that I could then unlock it to use 3 Mobile (in the UK) which I am on - I had bought this phone brand new and sealed from eBay (someone's unwanted upgrade). I then went on to using the free ChainFire sim unlock app, however I soon discovered that after all my phone can't have been locked in the first place as I just got a 00000000 code, never had to enter that and my sim worked having not previously tested it... Then I went on to flash it by using this file first - I9100XWKE7_StockKernel.tar - after seeing another YouTube video to purely debrand it but this only got rid of the yellow ! logo which appeared after rooting it, that is all.
So I then went on to using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1064894
in order to debrand it of all T-Mobile stuff, such as the T-Mobile logo and trademark tune which came on after switching the phone on, and get it like a standard sim free/factory unlocked phone if you know what I mean. I used this file as mentioned in the link - I9100XWKDD_I9100XXKDH_I9100XEUKD1_HOME.TAR
The latter part of the guide goes on to entering #272*<IMEI># or something like that, but I have tried that all of the other alternatives and all I get is "USS code running" and like 2 seconds later the error message
"Connection problem or invalid MMI code" appears. I basically can't enter anything in my phone dial with # or * or whatever. What is wrong?
I have also noticed that whenever I call someone a message saying "Conditional call forwarding active" appears, but then proceeds to make the call okay. I have tried to disable and fiddle around with the call forwarding settings, phoned my network provider, but again, error messages come up.
What exactly is wrong and how can I fix it - I am a bit of a noob with all this....? It is surely something to do with all that stuff I have mentioned. Please help me as I honestly don't know how to go about fixing this. What is the most straightforward thing to do which will stop these messages?
Last of all, I flashed using the following, my phone seemed to be auto-rooted as I never had to root again? I9100XWKE7_I9100XXKE4_I9100XEUKD1.tar
Thanks in advance."

[Q] SIM tools

Hello, lately my bank has started using BankID here in Norway to authenticate purchases and logging into the web bank. When I try to activate this the sim tools opens on my CM10.1 galaxy I9300 phone, and asks for the activation code and som pin codes. After that is complete i get a message that its sending, and nothing more happens, before i get a message on the sim tools that connection lost, error 29.
Talked to my bank and they claimed it was because of the cyanogenmod on my phone, and googled and found more people with the same error.
So i wondered if anybody got the stock Samsung firmware rooted and could send me a backup of their Sim tools (preferably nordic 4.2.2 or 4.2.1) with either titanium or as an APK so i could try that out instead?
Big thanks

Fixing IMEI null problem after flashing ROM

Hello,
I have a Lenovo K3 Note (k50t5) that I bought from China.
Since it came preloaded with a lot of bloatware and without an option to update to newer builds from Lenovo, I flashed the Indian ROW (rest of the world) k50a40 version and updated to the latest S121 version.
The problem is that the IMEI got deleted and I couldn't fix it with numerous methods I found in various forums.
I rooted the phone using the CWM method.
I tried using Mobile uncle app, but it doesn't have the engineer MTK option for some reason, only Android.
I accessed engineering mode through the dialer (*#*#3646633#*#*), and tried using AT command but it gave me the common error that it cannot send the command in user mode. Making a space before the + sign just gave me an ERROR, without specifics. I modified the build file from user to userdebug, and now I always get ERROR.
The weird thing is that I get a data connection from time to time, but I can't make phone calls or send SMS. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I managed to fix the problem! I'm posting this as it might help other people with this problem (invalid IMEI).
Just download an app called "chamelephon" from google play. it allows you to type in your IMEI.
It fixed the problem in 1 minute. Now I can call and send/receive SMS as normal.
