[Q] In Apex Launcher, how to get icon labels to display? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Sorry if this is a simple question but I'm stumped, but how can I get shortcut icon labels to display in Apex launcher?
I have Homescreen settings/Hide icon labels unticked.

Are you saying that the icons on your screen is NOT showing the name under the icon?
Post screenshot

Yup, not showing

Yup, not showing. I've attached a screen shot.

Change the portrait grid to less than 7 and it should work

Notification icon - what does it mean?

Hi guys. I've tried googling this a fair bit, but I cant find the answer. In the top left corner of my notification bar there's an icon that looks like a bold arrow pointing left with a line/hyphen in the middle - see attachment.
Appreciate it if some wise mind would tell me what this is. It's probably something ridiculously simple, so I apologize in advance if that's in fact the case!
Thanks
it means that notifications are turned off. it also means that you are on a older firmware as that icon has been updated recently
Sorry if this was asked before but I couldn't find the answer, What is the icon with N that I have in the top middle of the page?
Thanks for your help.
I've never seen it personally but I've seen people report it as NFC.

Its not possible (as I know).
The widget in your screenshot has that capability itself.
Search for minimalistic text on google play
If you're just talking about a simple text widget then, like isaacluz suggested, use Minimalistic Text.
Your other option is to use Lightning Launcher. If you use the free mode layout you can rotate and resize any widget and place it anywhere instead of being confined to the standard grid layout. It takes awhile to learn how to use it but it's well worth the effort.

Problem with wallpaper on 240dpi

Hi guys,
Got a problem trying to set a wallpaper on 240dpi, I have tried both the stock gallery and quick pic to crop the images for the screen but both end up with the wallpaper being zoomed in.
No matter what I try I can't get the image to look right on the screen, any ideas?
Cheers in advance,
Blinky

Be more specific; do you mean the lockscreen or the home screen/s? If you have wallpaper scrolling enabled, this is probably why. If it is on the lockscreen, I am not so sure.

Cheers for the reply, I tried disabled wallpaper scrolling and it didn't sort it out. I did check the lock screen and the wallpaper acts the correct way there so it is just the home screen.
Any other ideas, using omega of it helps.
Cheers

Live wallpapers are not compatible with Ripple Effect. Try: Settings > Lock screen options and uncheck RIPPLE EFFECT and Voilà !
I have the same problem...

Do you mean the one on the lockscreen that's similar to the clearview clock? I'd be interested in having that too.

Download Googles clock from the play store. Then add it as a screensaver in your display settings.
Looks more or less the same.
