HTC HD2(T-Mobile) Android -> Windows - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've looked, to what I think is everywhere to find out how to get my HD2 back to Windows from Android. Alas I can't find anything resembling a guide or noob how-to so I can change it back. Going to Android was easy, but I got tired of it. So if anyone could point me in the right direction or maybe even reply with instructions, that would be awesome.

Really?? Everywhere???
Put....
hd2 return to stock
...into Google, see how many hits you get,,, about half a milliuon when i tested it a moment ago...
Most important part though, you say its a t mobile, is that tmous ? (t mobile usa) Because if it is then you utterly absolutely totally completely MUST NOT use any stock rom except tmous stock roms, else you'll brick it. Any other 't mobile' is just a normal hd2.
two methods
1/
Get your stock rom, (you'll probably want the 3.14 version)
Into bootloader,
Connect USB
Run the flash
If you also want to remove hspl, run hspl 4 and choose 3.03.0000
or
2/
take the rom you downloaded above,(filename will be something like ruu_Leo_tmous_blahblahblah.exe
Rename the extension from .exe to .zip and open it, inside find ruu_signed.nbh, copy it to an SD card that's 4gb or smaller, rename it to leoimg.nbh , into phone, restart into bootloader and it will flash, including removing hspl.

Yeah I guess it would be a tmous since i'm in the US (Assuming that makes it a tmous). I tried all kinds of things but I just couldn't get the flasher to recognize my phone or when using aMAGLDR/ClockworkMod Recovery could not get the windows rom to install. Though that was probably a good thing cause i don't think I had a tmous rom.

Well when i first tried to install it didnt really work because i didnt use the newest bootloader. I dont think its going to work for you either unless you use it. I would just go back to the stock rom/radio and use then install the newest boot loader/unlocker, then radio, then gps rom.
But if you want to try, your going to have to get a sd card, format it to fat32 then put the .nbh (the largest file in the rom download) file on the card, but name the file TITAIMG.nbh. Then put the phone in boot loader mode (hold camera, power, and reset)
When the phone starts up this time the bootloader will load that .nbh file to the phone just as if you had done it through active sync (close).
You can use this for anything really. If you want to go back to the stock rom, download the rom exe from htc's website and extract the .nbh file with a program called zipscan. If you do this you will be back to stock everything except maybe the BL im not really sure if.
If you want to try the newest rom (which most likely wont work since your not using the newest hard spl) just take that .nbh file and name it TITAIMG.nbh and put it on your sd card and put phone in boootloader mode and it should copy that image.
I tried to explain the best i could just ask if you have any questions.
for the life of my i cannot see why people cant search for a problem before they post about it.

Seems like most of the problems are from people not following directions... Even the ones I was having...lol. But this stuff is new to a lot of people and the information is kind of spread out.

Did you try to hold down the power/camera buttons and do a soft reset to try and get back to the bootloader screen?

This worked for me too!!!! Simple too. You can extract the .nbh file using winrar too.
And to comment on why people don't search for answers first before posting.....
I read everything I could before trying all of this out. My computer experienced the BSOD in the middle of the relocking process. The above listed methos was the only way that I could get my device to work. And yes, I asked the same question that hb1774 asked. I had read about this method in another post, but everything is so spread out and very new to me and a lot of people. Lets try not to be sarcastic. People come here to learn and hack. I know a hell of a lot about computers, but I'm not Yoda, so I'm going to need help. Until there is a well organized post with a solution to every issue that comes up, there are going to be repeat questions. If you know that it's a repeat question and you know where the answer is burried in the forum, why not post a link to the answer? Just my 2 cents worth.

well said johnannie. if you want to help people - help people. i have the same issue with my Mogul.
to the experts: THANK YOU for your work and help.

Well obviously we got a problem with my HD2

Hi everybody,
Well yesterday i figured out that i could update my rom.
I started to look the Arthemis thread to find out what's new.
I saw SSPL and the 3.14 rom.
I downloaded the 3.14 rom and i installed it.After that i took the SSPL and the Arthemis V42 Rom and tried to install it. No success.
After that i took the energy rom to install it and it works but i still have the 3.14 rom display instead of the energy rom.
So right now i'm a little bit stuck cause i don't know what to do
Here's my specs:
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
Systeme version : 5.2.21684 (21684.5.3.10)
Manila version : 2.5.20191914.0
Rom version: 09 November 2010 FRE
Radio Version: 2.12.50.02_2
Protocol Version : 15.40.50.07U
So i'm asking you guys a little help please to put energy or new arthemis back in my phone.
Thanks for your help
Ps: ( I need help on how to put my phone back to normal i'm a little confused about SSPL and the 3.14 rom :s )
run Task29
! Read Edit 2 down below first !
Well, you could try to run Task29. That will purge your ROM and leaves it nice and perfectly clean for another ROM without the risk of residua in the memory.
You can find it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5848003&postcount=19
You will need to install a radio ROM after that, too. But having the memory wiped clean this way between installs is a good way to avoid trouble.
ThoroSOE
Edit 1: To reset your phone to normal (SPL, too) just download an original ROM and unpack the file with something like 7zip. Take the largest file (easy to spot) and rename it to LEOIMG.nbh. Copy that to your freshly formattet memory card and bring up your phone to the bootloader screen (power up with volume down pressed). It will then prompt to install the original ROM. This will overwrite HSPL and any ROM and Radio ROM you installed.
Edit 2: It could be that with ROM 3.14 the SPL is too new for HSPL! Mind that it just supports specific SPL versions! Check that! I think 3.14 has an 3.XX SPL version.
Before I could install HSPL properly I had to downgrade my ROM with an older original one to get the proper SPL (see Edit 1).
Thanks i try it now ill let you know.
Sir you don't need to look fare for your problem.
The problem is that stock ROM 3.14 isn't compatible with HSPL!!
And about Artemis ROM; I suggest you to take your time and read the "How to install?" At the Artemis ROM.
If you did it; you was ale to see you need to remove HSPL before install stock ROM 3.14!
thanks kurt-willems for answering me.
Can you tell me hat i need to do step by step please ?
I will really appreciate.
Thanks for help guys.

I will suggest you to read these post's.

Thanks again kurt-willems for your answer.
So after reading the entire post on how to flash arthemis rom i did all the steps but i am stuck at the step 7
7. Run SSPL_RUU.exe with Artemis v40 RUU_Signed_0409.nbh in the same folder - YOU HAVE TO BE ON HOME SCREEN, NOT BOOTLOADER (this took me 3 tries until succeded - yes - nerve wrecking, but works). If it doesn't work (hangs on black screen for more than 2min or stays at 0%) remove the battery and try again. If still doesn't work - try solutions in NOTE below.
I did all as it is explained in the thread my SSPL is good etc but when i launch SSPL + arthemis nbh, i got into the bootloader.
I tried like 5 times and i start to be angry.
So if you can help me it would be great.
Thanks
Ok i dont have nerves to do it again, can you guys just simply explain me how to uninstall SPL 3.03 and just install HSPL 2 and put a simple rom cause right now my phone don't work because of that.
Thanks you guys for reading me.
If you will install Artemis ROM I suggest you to use v42.0!
I/we know that flashing over SSPL isn't alway's easy (it will not start alway's)
but some important things to know is to deactivate your Anti-Virus; and creating a file with only the rom.nbh and SSPL_RUU in it nothing els!
(PS; Artemis ROM v42.0 starts better than previous v41.0 (own experience))
But if you will return to previous settings;
Reinstall a previous stock ROM ex 1.66 ore 1.47 (depending of you're aria)
Reinstall HSPL use HSPL3_RUN.exe fore this.
Thank you kurt willems for your time.
So after reading a lot of things , i did everything but im still stuck at the installation of the arthemis rom.
I got a message in the phone saying: This program is trying to acces to your phone etccc... Bootloader.exe. And if i say YES then the program launch bootloader and the installation fails. If i say NO then the program stops.
I'm downloading right now the version 42 of arthemis and i will give it a try.
If its doesnt working then i'll rollback to my previous rom.
Thanks again for your time.

I know this event sir, I have guide lot of users in this part. When you are on the bootlouder screen and at the bottom there is no mention of "usb" the installation will fail.
Its very important to be sure that your device is connect (control it in Active sync), Anti-Virus is turn off, the folder have only the rom.nbh and the SSPL_RUN (nothing more) in it, changing from USB port if you can.
And don't double click on SSPL_RUU fore run, but left click on it and select run ass administrator.
Lately I guide a other user on this and it have takes him 5 tray's
Ow, to be sure you have a good SSPL_RUU version takes mine: Download
Thanks but right now i just want one thing.. My phone to work.
I downloaded V42 and still the same problem.
I downloaded stock rom V1.93 from orange and i can't install it , don't ask me why.
So right now basically my phone is on the stock 3.14 rom and i don't know what to do to put an old rom and to flash to a energy rom with HSPL 3.
Seriously this all thing start to piss me off , no offence guys you making good stuff but sometimes its just to risky to flash.
I followed all the steps one by one and right now i got a useless phone in my hands.
I'm searching a way to get an old rom to be installed and desinstall SSPL.
If you can help me it would be great , im still searching.
You can flash a older stock ROM over SD.
Read my first post. There you can read how to reset to stock (Edit 1). Use an older stock ROM for a proper SPL that works with HSPL.
Install HSPL as instructed in the "how to flash everything" thread.
Run Task29 (see my first post)
Install Radio ROM with x.50.x in it from desktop via Active Sync (you need a Custom_RUU.nbh and the desired Radio ROM).
Install the main ROM you like, f.e. Energy ROM (that's what I use) normally from destop via Active Sync (Energy is one package that works like an official update).
Never had any problems with this way, never needed more than one try.
Hey ThoroSOE i rode Edit 1 and Edit 2.
I hope its not that much to ask but, could you give me a WWE rom like you said in Edit 1 to put it in the SD card ?
It would be really appreciated.
I'm downloading right now a official orange rom (1.66) but i tried installing the 1.43 and it didnt worked, thats why i'm asking you the question for a WWE rom to accomplish what u told me on Edit 1.
Thanks you guys for helping me.
Ok i'm trying this right now Edit 1: To reset your phone to normal (SPL, too) just download an original ROM and unpack the file with something like 7zip. Take the largest file (easy to spot) and rename it to LEOIMG.nbh
With the 1.66 official rom.
I will let you know.
Ok so i tried to do what u told me on edit 1.
I enter in bootloader and what i get is a nice :
Loading ...
Then

Not Allow
Can someone can tell me how to uninstall SSPL >?

SSPL isn't install on your device! so there is no need to remove it.
Did you tray to install stock ROM over SD!?
Witch are your errors you get?
Hmmm. Installing an official ROM from SD card shouldn't be a problem. If you have a branded device you should install an official ROM that matches your provider and area. For later purposes like installing HSPL it doesn't matter how old it is - as long as it is not too NEW ;-)
That way of installing a ROM (via SD card) ist kind of the brute way. As long as you use a ROM matching your provider and/or area it should overwrite ANYTHING in your phone memory...
When I unsintalled HSPL for the first time that way my HD2 aborted the update in midprocess but restarted updating automatically. After that it went through without problems; I didn't have to do anything.
I used the official 1.66 ROM from the HTC support page (unlocked device).
IMPORTANT: Did you name the ROM file for the SD card LEOIMG.nbh - in all capital letters? As I understand it, the bootloader is case sensitive. So it must be LEOIMG and not leoimg. Also did you format your SD card properly? It must be FAT 32, 4092K - and better not be done with quick formatting.

When i enter in bootloader (vol down + boot the phone)
I have:

SPL- 3.03.0000 XE
So i have SSPL in my device.

[Q] Plain White Screen

Hey guys, I had this problem like three weeks ago, then got my phone working but this time it won't. What's happening is that when I boot on it just goes to a blank white screen. I have 2.08.HSPL etc. It usually works after a few battery pulls/soft resets but this time it isn't. I've tried running Task 29's, but they're stuck at 0%.
Everything I try do gets stuck at 0%. Well I've tried running a Stock RUU (RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.0 7U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship.exe) and that got stuck at 0% too. I tried downloading my stock ROM off the HTC site but it says "Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device." Why isn't it? My phones not a TMO HD2? It's a EU Leo bought from o2 Ireland. Can anybody link me to possibly the UK o2 stock ROM?
I downloaded a stock ROM from here but all that comes with the English WWE version is a .exe and not a .nbh.
I also flashed Artemis' custom ROM from SD card and that flashed etc. but when I tried to boot I get the white screen.
Any help appreciated, thanks.

Sorry to hear your HD2 is not working right now Skellyyy. I am with T-Mobile so I am not familiar with O2 but do they not have an official ROM on their website? Do you have to download your official ROM from HTC? I tried to pull up the o2 website but for some reason it would not let me pull it up. I went to www.o2.co.uk/ and I got this error message.

The exe is how you run the update utility for that ROM too by the way. Well atleast it is if you are using a computer to flash it. You have to right click on it and click explore to find tbe RUU file.
Also seeing as you have the EU HD2 why not just download the official update from the T-Mobile website and try it?
Yeah no I don't think they do. I looked on there and they hadn't got it. I think TMO have it on there website is because there's is a different phone then to the EU one.
Wouldn't downloading that ROM sort of brick my phone? Or would it not as the EU is compatible with all radio's?
I know the way you run the .exe then the RUU pops up, but HSPL won't flash anything. I've already tried. I know flashing from the SD works as I've flashed an Artemis ROM from it... but still had the screen.

Good point I have not thought about that. The hole thing about the TMOUS HD2 not being able to flash non TMOUS Radios probably does have something to do with it being there on thier website. This is an effort to keep people from getting confused and downloading the wrong ROM and bricking their phone.

No I don't think just downloading the ROM will brick your HD2, you have to flash it for it to even have a chance to brick it ha ha ha ha..........Just kidding I know what you meant, and no I do not think it will brick your pbone cause you have the EU HD2. You might get some preinstalled T-Mobile apps that you can not use but I think this would be the only side effect. But then again I was thinking you could flash it and then try to reflash your regular ROM as I know that the T-Mobile ROM should fix any issue you are haveing with SPL or the ROM. So maybe then you can get HSPL to flash sucessfully.

I also know if you flash the T-Mobile ROM via SD card it overwrites all, but I think this is the case with any SD card flash of any official ROM. The Artemis ROM is a custom ROM so if you are haveings SPL incompatibility issues it would not fix this as it would take an official ROM flashed via SD to fix that.

stuck at 0% usually means hspl is no longer there.
what does it say by 'spl' in bootloader?
If you have tried to flash a stock rom from sd card at all, , hspl will have gone EVEN IF THE FLASH DIDNT APPEAR TO HAPPEN, hspl will still have gone.
Your phone, if from o2, will always only ever take o2 stock roms, unless hspl is there. HTC website will only let you download o2 roms with that serial.
The .exe file the rom comes as is really a zip file, , right click and 'unzip here or extract here', or rename the file from .exe to .zip, , the file ruu_signed.nbh is inside there.
Artemis probably failed because of your radio and/or spl. tell us what it says in spl, and what rom you want to aim for, and we can take it from there.

I can't seem to find a way to change it to a .zip or extract it. It's a basic .exe file.
Artemis probably failed because of your radio and/or spl. tell us what it says in spl, and what rom you want to aim for, and we can take it from there.

Yeah no, that happened me before and I was only had 2.08.0000 but I'm sure I have 2.08.HSPL now. As I've said, it's happened before, in which all I did was do a soft reset and that worked. Doesn't seem to work now though.
I'm pretty sure MAGLDR is wiped now anyway, as when I plug a USB in while off it doesn't boot up, but just goes to a red LED. Is this normal yeah?
Just tried flashing the ROM I mentioned... the little progress bar showed... then the phone rebooted. Now it's back to SPL.
I don't there's anything I can do now is there? :/
ok, hang on, do you have a tmous, or a regular hd2 from t mobile?
I have a EU Leo. I don't know where it's from as I bought it second hand. The guy said it was bought on o2 Ireland.
Hey SKellyyy not saying I don't beleive you but just do this to confirm you have a DU HD2. I know for positive I have a T-Mobile HD2 as I bought mine brand new from a T-Mobile store. On your HD2 touch Start/Settings/scroll down to About Phone/Hardware Information. This is what mine says.

Compare yours and let us know.
if the send key is white its regular, green its tmous. yours will be regular, from o2.which is why none of those roms you tried worked. only ONLY o2 roms will work unless hspl is there, anmd as soon as you flash any stock rom using sd card, it will remove hspl and then teh flash will fail, but hspl is already gone.
so, to get..
a winmo rom
bootloader - hspl4 - 2.08.hspl (3.03.hspl if you want a 3.14 rom) - bootloader - radio (if needed to update, see the rom thread) - bootloader - flash rom
to prep for nand android
bootloader - hspl4 - 2.08.hspl - bootloader - radio - bootloader - magldr - magldr usb flasher - flash CWM
bootloader -
Lol dude I'm pretty positive as it only has 512MB ROM and it has no T-mo on top and the buttons are white.
I've already tried to flash HSPL again but that was using the second version of the software (can't remember the name) and it failed. It recognized the phone and let me choose 2.08.HSPL but the progress bar just went and went (for over an hour).
Where will I get a stock o2 ROM as the HTC website says "this software isn't available for your device"?

thats more likely the comp, not the phone. all usual things, reinstall activesync/wmdc, dont use 64bit os if you can help it, firewalls off, etc etc etc. easiest first test is use a different pc.
It was fine flashing CWM on Friday. Currently can't use a different PC, will get one later and try again.
Thinking if I get this fixed, I'm selling it. Too much sh*t happens with it. It's maybe just my phone but this usually happens everyday and a few battery pulls/soft resets fixes it. That by itself is annoying, but this is even more annoying.
hspl is different than flashing roms / cwm.
flashing and sync will work through any old usb port, rarely need to turn off firewalls, whereas hspl is realllly choosy. gotta be a usb socket directly on the motherboard, hates 64bit win, times out before the phone has rebooted if you start it from winmo running, isnt all that happy if you have changed teh usb drivers for that particular port, say for mtty, or android, (each usb port has its own drivers associated with it, thats why swapping usb ports if it fails is always the first step, try them all)
I've tried three different PC's. Two desktops and one laptop, all plugged in to motherboard USB'a but none of them are installing HSPL. They're all just going up and down on the progress bar. Should I try HSPL4? I'm using the HSPL3 program.
No computers are running 64bit btw.
Is there anywhere I can just get the o2 ROM and try flash it?
Yea go to HTC website, support, pick phone, downloads, change dropdown to rom upgrades, operator name is in the title. You can also find them in the official roms thread in rom development section, and elsewhere in various threads.
Keep gour head up!

Sorry you are having so much trouble out of your HD2. The HD2 is a great device but they are quirky as hell. I sure you will get it fixed, keep your head up man. Oh and don't give up on the HD2 just yet cause just like King Authur's Excalibure, The HD2 is a thing of legend.
Excilcior
Yeah, I'm currently looking to get a new HD2. Decided.
It's just the bootloader doing my head in, found the official ROM I need, but it'll only flash from PC and it's stuck at 0%. I need it as a .nbh so I can install from SD card. Do you know how I can do that if the RUU I downloaded is a .exe?
If you got RUU in .exe file install WinRar right click on the RUU file and choose "open with WinRar" then extract the .nbh file

htc HD2: I want to switch from Android build to WM.6.5 , no guide on forum.......

I installed android and it sucks, it reboots all the time, apps are useless, there are of course more things that made me want to switch but i dont want to go into details.
i almost turned my phone into brick when i installed android so i just want a step by step process on how to go back to windows mobile 6.5, and what version is recommended for best performance.
Ok I sugest going back to the stock ROM for your HD2 as you can flash it via SD card anx make everything stock with ome flash. But if you want to go with a custom ROM I suvedt any oc the Energy ROMs they are great. You can flash either of the ROMs via SD card or just put your HD2 into bootloader and wait for Serial to change to USB in the white bar of bootloader and then flash the ROM of your choice. If you flash via USB with official ROM it willnot revert your HSPL to SPL bit via SD card it will. Here is a link to tbe thread on how to flash via SD card.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=681317
ok, so i understand that i put the downloaded ROM to my HTC's SD card, hard reset the phone, and do the rest of the steps from the lik you sent.
What about radio? when do i flash it and do i need to flash it?
also, which of the hotfile files from the build available here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591784
is the "energy" theme? (the first one from the list in post 2)
when i click on the link it sends me to cookie's home tab thread.

Fist off make sure not to confuss putting your HD2 into bootloader and preforming a manual hard reset. To hard reset you have to power on and hold both volume down and up buttons down and the tricolored bootloader will appear for a brief secound but then another screen with instructions will appear. To put it into bootloader just power on holding down the volume down button and you will get tbe bootloader.
Flash the radio you want either before or after you flash the ROM. It really does not matter wich it will still preform it's function the same. I suggest radio version 2.15.50.14 as it is the latest radio version. You don't just have to flash another radio though if you don't want to. I say if you are not having problems with your current reception then your current radio should do fine. You can flash the radio tbe exact same way as the ROM using your SD card. Just rename the .nbh file for the radio to leoimg.nbh and copy it to your SD card. Or you can flash it via USB cable and your computer by using bootloader.
I checked out the link you posted. To download the zip file for the ROM you have to lick on the appropriate download link with the flag that applies to you. Let the page fully load when you go to the first page of the thread and look for the download button links toward the bottom of post #2. You will have two zip files to choose from I would say go with the largest of the two files as it will probably be the one with the start button at the bottom of the screen. I can not be certain of this though as I have a TMOUS HD2 and can not flash the ROM to check.
thanks for the reply, but i turned my phone to a brick yesterday before i read your post, turned out i didnt install HSLP (or something like that) which you need for installing new roms... immediately i went to a shop to get it fixed and luckily they had software that erased everything and installed original software
Glad you got your HD2 up and running again. I was wondering though if you checked to see if you could still get the bootloader to come up by holding down the volume down button down while powering on? Reason why I ask is you said.

I think when you flashed the custom ROM with out HSPL it ran a task 28(it is some debate wich is bett3er task 28 or task 29) before trying to flash the ROM which removed the current ROM from your HD2 leaving it ROM less. If your HD2 was truly bricked the place you brought it to would have had to disassemble your HD2 to get the main board out so they could use a JTAG on it. For that is the only way to revive a truly bricked HD2. So you see I am afraid you paid someone for something you could have done yourself. But the whole point was to get your HD2 up and running again so it is probably worth it to you. Peace
i've read what needed to be done in my sitation, and i ran into a big guide with some info about a program i needed to have fo 30 euro, it was then when i decided to go with the shop.
i had a RGB screen with some info on it, but i dont remember what it was, i'm just glad i got it fixed.
what free procedure have you had in mind?
Get HSPL back on it, Follow Energy ROM recomendations regarding radio version & get 23699 ROM Dinik from ROM repository.
With a few aditional registry tweaks this is one of the best performing ROMs put together.
My HD2 runs supurb on this ROM with over 40 aditional softwares loaded & used daily for work & leasure.
Simply blows a stock ROM away & makes Android only a SD card loaded plaything.

2 ways mate:
1. enter bootloader (press and hold volume down then briefly press power menu)
and flash a custom ROM
2. if you follow other peoples advice here of flashing a stock ROM via sdcard,
you will loose HSPL. or you can just flash a stock ROM via USB method and
keep HSPL on your device.
I personally recommend step 1.

What I was refering to in my other post is this. I feel like the shop probably just ran a task 29 (Google task 29 for HTC HD2) and then just flashed the stock ROM for your HD2 Wich can be downloaded for free from XDA, HTC.com, and probably your carriers website. These are all things you can do yourself. But like I said if the shop had to take your HD2 apart you did theright thing.
eh, i think they run the thing you said, so i am like 40$ lost on this... this solution should be easier to find, i searched google and xda for the problem i ran into, i typed different keywords, searched for an hour and found only some big guide with one of the steps requiring to buy a software for 20 euro. This forum should be better organized when it comes to HTC errors. Some screens and direct links to solutions.

Just an humble suggestion, users should read "stickies" before they do something to their device.
Almost all of guides, video, tutorial or references links are stickied at the beginning of the the forum/subforums

[problem] Dead T-mobile HD2?

I had Magloader and WP7 in it. As time went by I upgraded to HD7 and never looked back. It's been a while since I have touched XDA and WM6.5.
My assumption is that even with Magloader, you only have to flash your stock ROM and it'll revert back to WM.
Mine won't go on and I suspect that I flashed a Non-Tmobile compatible ROM. Can someone confirm that this is the case? Here's the ROM string: RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.43.405.1_Radio_Signed_15.26.50.0 7U_2.04.50_22_2_Ship.exe
I understand completely that if I messed it up then it's messed up. I just wanna make sure there might be other solutions or something I am missing out.
-Thanks in advance!
----------------------------------
Is this a final answer? I need to know if it's bricked and nothing else can be done.
Anyone thinks a shop may be able to recover it back? It won't go on at all..

Sometimes, it´s easier than you think.
You´ve got 2 options to get rid of HSPL. One of those options would be simply described in the original thread of HSPL.exe software. If you would have checked this program a little bit, you would have noticed the very fact that you can select what SPL or HSPL you want to install.
Second, you can flash your stock ROM via SD card method, this will replace HSLP and everything else - this does not work using RUU.exe via USB.

By the looks of the radio installed (2.04.50_22_2), I would say that you did brick your T-mobile phone. Take a look at the following thread for a possible solution to unbrick your phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=668347
Hi thanks for the response Lavell. Would MTTY be able to do anything?
The phone doesn't turn on at all, or it seems.
I've never bricked one before so Idk if this is the way it happens.
its gone. dead. it will need JTAGging or a new mainboard.
that thread wont help, the phone wont power on, and that thread requires you can get into bootloader.
that's a really early rom you used, the tmous didnt even exist when that rom shipped.
If you want to get rid of it let me know please!!!
Hey guys, don't mean to hijack the thread but I got the same problem here.
Had WP7 but could not use 2g so I went back to MAGLDR113 and installed the file below:
RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.43.405.1_Radio_Signed_15.26.50.07U_2.04.50_22_2_Ship
It went all the way to 100% but now the phone is dead. Computer makes a sound when I plug in usb but I have tried changing batteries and all but it doesn't work.
Does anyone know in Dallas or areas around how to do that JTAG thing?
There is no proper documentation on how to go back to stock 6.5 Windows or at least I could not find one

At its most basic, its the same for ALL hd2's, ,
1 get the correct stock rom for your region&vendor
2 flash it
thats it.
Sadly lots of times this is shortened to
1 get stock rom
2 flash it
and people just assume they can use any stock rom, and since they usually already have HSPL installed, it allows the flash to start, and tmous phones die.
Yeh think the HSPL installer should of had a TMOUS version either blocking known bricking radio & ROMs or just an on screen message warrning & advising on checking before comencing with flash.
At end of the day it is the users fault for not researching or using a TMOUS rom to be 100% safer !
