does it support bluetooth 3.0?

Yes, it is bluetooth 3.0 compliant.
This headset, on a technical aspect is a pefect companion with the Gtab2, as both devices are 3.0 compliant, and both do Apt-X BT.
The Gtab2 is also packing a Wolfson W1811 audio chip, and is also bundled with SoundAlive audio enhancements which performs really well for "hi-fi" quallity audio.
I'm jamming out to my 20+GB, 320kbp/s MP3 music library, and it's absolutely delightful, even just using the earbuds that came included. I think I'll be investing in over-the-ear headphones in the near future.
This is the best "MP3 player" I've ever owned.

What App you use for playing music? I've tried several but haven't been crazy about any of them.
Sent from my GT-P3113 using Tapatalk 2

The Samsung music player that comes with the (GT-P3113) tab. I don't care too much for Music Hub, but the player/library for music is decent. Using it, you can be sure that all these nice enhancement features (not just EQ) are in use.

I haven't tested them w/ PowerAMP, but I'll get the app and report back.

Works excellently w/ PowerAMP... Also, PowerAMP kinda kicks @$$! Digging the EQ effects. Turning the onscreen nobs is smooth & precise..
The physical buttons on the headset seem to work better in PA. When using the default music player on the GTab2, theres a slight (1 sec) delay between pushing a button, and the track actually changing, in PA the gap is shorter. Cross-fading is nice too.

I just bought a hs3000, paired it with my tab and s3. It works fine, but I'm wondering if it is using apt-x, is there a way to check that?

The only way ive been able to test it is using my buddies ipad as a comparison... audio doesnt sound as good (bugs the $#!7 outta him). Im using several mp3's encoded @ 320kb/s as a test on his ipad/my Gtab2, then pairing the headset w/ both and listening. Audio definately is better quality on the Gtab2, I even gotta fanboy to admit it. *SCORE*
Im pretty sure that if both devices suport apt-x, then it'll "just work"

I originally picked up a set of the LG HBS-700 Bluetooth Stereo Headset because of the generally positive reviews across the net. I used the headset for about 3 weeks but was not entirely happy as it was only Bluetooth 2.3 and not Bluetooth 3.0 like the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 uses. Felt like it wasn't fully mating with my Tab 2. Also wasn't happy with the audio quality as it didn't sound as good as a wired connection. I then picked up the Samsung HS3000 and WOW what a difference. It is much more responsive mated to my Galaxy Tab 2 and their is no comparison with the audio quality. I did some testing and can confirm (at least to my ears) that their is no difference from connecting with a wire. It is definitely using the apt-X lossless compression. If you are looking for Bluetooth headphones I don't think you can do better especially given the incredibly low price of $30 from NewEgg.

Well said... I plan on snatching up these bad boys ouffa Amazon. Alas, I will be finnished w/ my personal audio setup.
These are Kicker HP541, they look pretty decent, specwise.
Has option for using a shorter 3.5 to 3.5 audio cable, as in you can swap it out using standard cables of any length.

I love them- for under 60$, they are the best phones I've found...I've been through a few different sets, and have returned them all, until these.
And I run them through the Fiio E5 amplifier.

This little thing is awesome. If you don't use one of these, get one! I can't believe the difference it makes in my listening enjoyment. On headphones, or through a 3.5mm to my car stereo, this thing gives a richer sound, more bass- (lots, if you turn boost on) and a lot more volume. I used to have to turn my car stereo up pretty loud to get the volume I wanted out of my portable sources, and it would mean that I'd have to deal with some degree of electronic hiss- That's gone. Also, sometimes I like to listen to music at ridiculous, ear damaging volume- and I would turn the volume all the way up on my Ipod or tablet, and it would be loud, but not really loud... Now, with the amp-I can turn it up till it hurts... and I'm afraid to go louder... It's awesome.
I bought a 3.5mm Monster cable with these , and I gotta say I LOVE the sound now..
What do you guys use?
Koss
I use Koss Porta Pro. I love wearing these headphones. Excellent sound and cheap.
I use Koss Pro DJ100's, which I bought at Best Buy a few months ago when it was on sale for $45-50. I love them. The sound is very detailed, with good depth, bass and soundstage. You really have to run them through an amp, though, otherwise they don't sound as good. I run them through a Fiio E7.
I also use Monster Turbines for earphones when I dont' want to carry my full sized cans around.
For portability I use the Sansa Clip+ with Etymotic ER4Ps. At home I use ER4S or AKG K702 with my HeadAmp Pico DAC/amp.

I have a now ancient Plantronics Pulsar 590E Bluetooth stereo headset that works well. There is a slightly noticeable audio lag when watching movies, but it's not enough to be a problem for me. Amazingly, this last week, I was able to get factory replacement ear pads when mine disintegrated from age.
Bye.

That amp he mentioned is decent for IEMs but if you want to properly power over the ear headphones you may want something a little bit better.
I went with the Pico brand because I couldn't find anything else that could have that much power AND output a flat frequency response.

I had a pair of those, they were nice.
Lots of serious eadphones around here!
I nearly spent the cash for the Klipsch image one phones today... my kicker cans have good bass, but aren't overly "punchy"... i listened to the KI1`s, and I liked th bass response but I wonder if the punch would become overbearing on certain music styles without constant e.q. tweaking...

Opinions on Bluetooth Headphones?

Just wanted to know if anyone was using bluetooth headphones on their Rezound? Any recommendations in the $50 range? How does the DSPManager sound with them? I need something that will get me through an 8 hour work day without having to charge off and on. Thanks in advanced!
I have a pair of Motorola Bluetooth stereo headphones that work great. They are the behind the ear model. I've had them for about a year now and the battery still holds about a 10 hour charge.
I don't use the equalizer with them on this set, but on my old phone (Samsung Charge) the Bluetooth sound was not controlled by the settings for the amp
Motorola S305
I actually haven't used them with my Rezound yet, but I have a pair of the Motorola S305s as well and they worked great with my Incredible. Very durable, great sound quality, great battery life, reliable Bluetooth connection.

Awesome! Thanks for the response everyone! Any thoughts on any bluetooth earbuds? I tend to find them more comfortable to listen to but I'm open to checking out the suggestions everyone made.
Gotta wait for my Rezound to come back from repair. Hopefully they're fixing my headphone output but if they don't, I'll look into bluetooth headphones as an option.

These are amazing headphones, I ended up breaking mine by accident and ended up getting the Jabra Halo set (also sold at Bestbuy). They are a bit more pricy but they were worth it to me. They fold up real nice and hold up a really great charge, used them for 3 days without charging, and they have some great sound quality to them, also has some cool touch-like controls on it for volume, skipping tracks and making/taking calls. Call quality is pretty nice too
I have a set of these:
I got these for a penny + shipping from Tmobile (it was on slickdeals.net it was incorrectly priced and was only up for a few hours) and I couldn't be happier. Glad I finally got rid of the cord. I can listen to music, answer phone calls, adjust volume, skip songs. Simply amazing.

JayBird- Freedom Bluetooth Earbud Headphones
Great sound for music and while talking. Extra earbuds to find the right fit. Holds about a 8-10 hr charge while using. Days on standby. Only problem is the rubber piece that covers up the usb port is hard to get opened if you have big fingers. Other than that a great pair of headphones for under $100.

Bluetooth headphones for music possible?

Hi! All. is it possible to use bluetooth headphones to listen to music with the galaxy tab? any compatibility issues i should be looking out for before buying if its possible to use.
of coz it is possible
Even better, the 7.7 supports the APT-X Bluetooth codec/profile, which sounds noticeably better than regular A2DP. Of course you need a receiver that supports APT-X as well.
I picked up an LG Tone Bluetooth headset.
It allows phone calls (with my tablet or my EVO) and can be used as a stereo headset for videos, music, etc.
Battery lasts a long time and works great for me.

Hmm, I doubt that the hardware is different in the Verizon version - also, APT-X can be both AFAIK, either hardware- or software-wise implemented. Maybe it's just a firmware difference, or maybe they just didn't write down the whole specs.
Nah, haven't tried those Senns - do they support APT-X? (So far my only experience with APT-X was on the Creative Zen X-Fi 3 with a small Samsung APT-X adapter/receiver, and my regular IEMs plugged in. The sound quality was pretty much as good as wired, to my ears.)

I use a set of Sony DR-BT21G headphones. They are excellent but alas they were discontinued a few years ago and Sony never brought out a followup model :-(
The only real drawback to them is lack of USB charging - they use a silly 3.3V Sony charger (which I think was also used for minidisc players, perhaps why they chose it as maybe they originally thought to make it for MD players).
I plan on using my Motorola S10 HD when I get my tab. They work really well with my xoom currently.

As a portable on the go setup??
Some folks are over the secondary hifi setup that is sometimes carried around.
If you can keep it to a source device, amp and iems or headphones. That's pretty much carry anywhere without it being obtrusive.
I use JVC HA-FXC80 with comply foam tips. They are cheapish but give off an amazing sound. For the price nothing can touch them. Same goes for my pc headphones HA-RX700. Inner earphones last me a year or so because I run/bike with them so I don't bother getting an over the top pair that I know aren't going to last anyways.

Price only matters when dealing with the elitist of the hobbyist, if the headphones bang then they bang... I had a pair of Koss clip on's and with the mod those things were really nice. The cost was less than $10, but they out performed on a regular basis headphones costing $50-70 easily.
Once you try custom molded iems you will never go back to regular in ear phones. I have a pair of JH16's and can't say enough about the quality or response or sound etc.... Are they expensive? Yup, are they worth it? Yup... But I also have cheapies that I love as well... Just depends on my mood... And what I am listening to...

I initially tried the original earphones guess what....threw it away. No choice but to use my Beats Mixr and so far no complaints..

Note 3 loaded with FLAC --> HeadAmp Pico USB DAC/amp via USB OTG --> headphones. Mostly use my T5p with it, sometimes my UE900, sometimes my LCD-2 when the mood takes me and I'm not near my desktop setup.
Well I use beat mixer..and they are working quite well...till now no problem with them...but the original Note 3 headsets sucks not far true to the expectations....
Flame away...
I love the way they sound.

Any 3 botton headsets/earbuds?

Hey guys I'm looking for some 3 button headsets that work with our phones. Seems like Google keeps sending me to vendors who are Apple specific. Ideas?
I'm using the Xiaomi Pistons and they work great. There are existing reviews online that can help you determine what headset/earbuds to get. Xiaomi Pistons is pretty up there and is relatively cheap, ~$25. Beware of fakes.

Correct, I have these:

And only the middle button works.
I've heard form other people that these (Samsung version) work for android phones with all 3 buttons. I posted the correct link this time.

Just received my Xiaomi earbuds. So far using Spotify for music NONE of the buttons does anything.
The white Samsung headphones that came with my Note 3 work just fine with the N6. All buttons functioning properly.
I'm using headset from Galaxy Nexus (I know, old), only one button, it works on N5 to skip music but won't work on N6. Thinking about getting new headphone. Dose anyone know if Bose SoundTru for Samsung Galaxy works on N6? How's the sound quality? Here's the link www.bose.com/controller?url=/shop_o...#currentState=soundtrue_ie_headphones_samsung

JayBird Bluebuds X work perfectly. They're pricey, but there's ways to get them for significantly less then the list price on their site. You can get a pair for $119.00 total, and that's with shipping. Still kind of high, but I feel they're well worth it. So much more convenient having no connected wire to deal with.

I agree with you about the Bluebuds. The bluetooth is great and the controls work perfectly.

Bummer man-- I just tried out my headset in Spotify (as well as PowerAMP as zephiK also tried) and everything seemed to work normally...
Where did you buy your set of Pistons? Maybe you got one of the knockoff versions that are out there?
Android 3 button headsets needs App to be fullt functional
This company specializes in Android 3-button headsets, from basic ones to ultra high end. Degauss Labs Noir is a hybrid earphones for Android using both balanced and Dynamic armatures. Awesome!!
Large selection if Android headsets:
BUT! You also need a App like 'headset control center' that gives you the possibility to program your microphone buttons to do what you want them to. Added to that if you want an online musicplayer to work with your buttons then you also need the App. So the Android 3-button headset works a whole lot better used with the App, especially if your a user of Spotify, Deezer, Rdio IR such pay per month music-service
Google Play Free headset app

Hope this info helped a soul or two

3-button supercharged headset for Android Nexus 6
I was at the IFA show in Berlin and stumbled into this company making Android headsets with 3-buttons. They launched the first pair of Hybrid based technology 3-button earphones for Android and Nexus-line called Noir. What is unique about them obtop of the 3-buttons actually working is that they sound incredible. That is due to that they use a Balanced armature for treble and mid and a Dynamic speaker for the bass. I think the quality of sound is absolutely amazing. Android review is found here: http://www.androidcoliseum.com/2015/04/noir-from-degauss-labs-bring-hi-fi-to.html?m=1

I use Degauss Labs Dual Drivers. Sound fantastic, and have a 3 button remote that works with my stock Nexus 6.
