Just to be sure, as I didn't understand last part of your post. After you did update with pc companion, you also did repair software with pc companion? Meaning, nothing left over from your old apps and stuff from data partition?

Hm, after you did update/repair, which android version you have now? GB or ICS?
and another q, so you can turn on your wifi, right? when it searches for new networks, does it find any?

Hm, no IP is normal since you aren't connected, but no MAC is kinda worrying.
Only one last advice is to flash GB rom, clean stock. Some people are having WiFi problems, although not like you, but I don't have any more ideas.
If that doesn't help then I believe it's hardware fault .
If you never flashed some other rom with flashtool, meaning you still have you original firmware on your phone, you can write down CDF number so you can go back to original fw before sending it for warranty(if you have any) repair.
how to get to that number read here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1604559
After you do that, flash .ftf file with flashtool.
You can use MT11i 4.0.2.A.0.62 GB CUSTOMIZED-NCB-Nordic WORLD-I 1255-1755 from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24983670&postcount=246
Good luck

Well, I don't think it will help, I can only hope
But to be honest I don't have to much faith in fix. People had problems on ICS with WiFi, but they could find networks only not be able to connect on them.
Strange in your case is that it doesn't even find any network.
anw, if you have warranty, take it to SE repair center, if you have any in your place.

Well, depends on how you unlocked it. You can relock it in both cases. But if you unlocked it officially from sony dev page there is possibility they will notice that DRM certificates are gone.
How to relock it, check in Neo V dev section, sticky thread.

No need for root, just to flash .ftf file with flashtool.
I don't know if its software or hardware, I can't be sure without testing. People had strangest problems which on first look looks like hardware problem, but after flash its fixed.

Someone can flash it one time, and have problem.

Ask if you have more question.

Hi everybody. Right now i have latest nAa rom and kernel. Id like to know how safe is the restore procedure with pc companion. Does it restore eclair and stock kernel?
Do i have to relock bootloader? Im really scared.
I really need to know this before flashing nAa kernel in another x10 mini pro.
Thanks!

Pc companion or SEUS will reflash stock rom and kernel
Yeah, if u r using pc companion, u will get a fresh stock of S.E firmware. And if u want to flash any custom ROM then, u need to root your device once again. its not gonna re-lock your boot loader. u r free to flash your custom kernel.
Thanks a lot for your answers! Now im ready to flash my friends u20.

Wow... I'm confused again. Can I restore the whole phone with pc companion without relocking bootloader???
I don't wanna touch the bootloader! And i'm planing to go back to a fresh stock eclair
If your bootloader is unlocked, repairing it with SEUS or PC Companion will not relock it, but it will restore stock eclair.
Once the bootloader is unlocked succesfully (you still can make calls and things), there is no need to touch it again, unless you want your phone back in original state for repairs under warranty.

How did you make PC Companion to detect your phone?
My x10 mini is using nAa kernel + MiniCM7.
I'm trying to flash stock kernel using PC Companion, but it doesn't even detect the phone.
It asks to mount the SD card when I plug the USB cable, but after I do that, it says "No phone connected".
It doesn't need to If you want to flash back to stock with PC Companion you can turn off your phone and disconnect it from the computer
Choose update in PC Companion, (It doesn't detect your phone) It will give you a repair option
Follow the steps and only connect your phone when it asks for it (popup asking you to connect your phone in flashmode)
The repair-option let's you choose your model and downloads the firmware for that.
Let us know how it goes

I'm going to unlock the carrier restriction of my girlfriend's x10 mini.
The problem is that I've installed nAa kernel and MiniCM7 ROM in it, and it seems that CyanogenMod 7 doesn't have na option to insert the unlock code for SIM restriction.
Searching in Google, it seems that I need to flash stock kernel and ROM to be able to insert the unlock code.
Too much headache for a simple operation that CM7 guys should have implemented...

CM7 is stock android with some extra tweaks The functionality you're looking for is part of android, i'm sure the CM7 guys didn't take it out.
I guess you want to sim-unlock the phone to use it with other carriers? In that case, just pop in a sim-card from another provider and at start-up it will ask you for your unlock-code.
It's as easy as that, but i agree there should be an option to put the code in somewhere in the user-interface

I tried to do that (inserted a SIM from another carrier), but it didn't ask me for an unlock code at the boot.
I've made sure to test with 2 different SIMs, from different carriers.
In both cases, MiniCM7 didn't ask the for carrier unlock code and the radio signal icon showed 4 empty bars with a red little icon (don't remember if an "!" or an "x"). Also, the message "No service" appeared in the screen.
I'm sure that the phone is still carrier locked, since it's working with the original carrier (where I've bought it) SIM.
Odd But I hope it works with stock eclair for you then

Yea. Sony's stock ROM has the feature to insert a carrier restriction unlock code.
It should ask you for the unlock code as soon as it boots with a SIM from a different carrier.
I really don't get why CyanogenMod guys haven't implemented such a feature in their ROMs.
Whatever. Thank you very much for the explanations.

Leave your phone unplugged from the computer when you ask SEUS to search for an update. Since it won't recognise the phone it won't find any updates and assume your phone it broken, so it will give you a repair link.

So I just got the phone today and decided to upgrade to ics, that was a big mistake. The phone won't turn on . When I plug it into the computer it has the green charging led but when I plug it into the charger nothing just a dark green led that will blink every 10 seconds or so. don't care if I have to downgrade I just want it to work. Also when it's not plugged in it does the same dark green blink and when I try turning it on nothing no vibration or anything.
Use flashtool to unbrick your device.

As for my knowledge this is not possible! but next time use the "MyPhoneExplorer" it keeps contacts in PC so whenever u flash firmware, install its client on phone and run this software on PC and then it will put all the contacts that u had on ur phone before flash. last night i had done rooting on my phone by following steps hope it will also help u for flashing a firmware via flashtool.

One won't lose the warranty if he/she fails in an official upgrade, send it to the dealer for repair before trying oneself with Flashtool, which may alter the build.prop, and else. Right?

If you have never rooted and bootloader is locked (and I think it is), please send it to service or give it to the shop where you've bought it. This is better, and because it was an official update, you should be able to claim your warranty.
If you try to do it yourself with flashtool, you will modify your phone and if they find out, your warranty is lost. So please don't flash it, give it to service
I flashed the firmware from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2030261

But now I notice my 3G isn't working now, help
Do you have proper drivers installed if you can access cwm recovery and have a backup restore it. Else drain you battery completely and then fash the stock ftf back

So if I repair my phone using PC Companion it will make my phone brick? Or it will unroot the phone and I will have few internal memory? Or does a repair using pcc will make it like a fresh phone?
SORRY MINE IS LOCKED BOOTLOADER [CORRECTED IN OP] Sorry @arvarobert

As you said ,repairing phone will make your phone like "brand new".
On Locked Bootloader , latest stock firmware will be flashed .
On Unlocked Bootloader, nothing will happen.
PC companion will download firmware and then throw error saying "Phone is unlocked" or something and will quit.
In both cases phone "wont" be bricked.
