[Problem] My camera flashlight is NOT working - HTC Radar

So the flashlight DOES work in apps like Flashlight (Torch) and other apps I download.
It's just NOT working in the camera app. I reset camera settings like 3 times. I have not recently had an update.
Any thoughts?
The last time i remember using the flashlight in the camera was 4 days ago, and it worked then.
Just to be clear, when I enable the flashlight, the picture is taken normally, just without the flashlight..

Update: It felt like working by itself all the sudden. Please ignore this topic, sorry!

LED flashlight app

Looking for an app that uses the camera LED as a flashlight. There are tons of those for the desire and N1 but I can't seem to find one for the Legend.
legend has to be rooted before you can do that, theres a guide here on the forum to root your legend.
btw search before making and entire new post there was just one similar few days ago
nexus one torch works if your legend is rooted :b

Lamppu (LED Torch) works on rooted phones.
Is it even a good idea to use a LED as a flashlight? I had a Samsung U700 before which somehow got broken. Whenever I turned it on the LED would turn on without any possibility to turn it off - unless I would use a hammer. Anyway after a while the LED went more blue-ish and besides that it got terribly hot whenever it was turned on for more than 10 seconds. I really doubt that it has any positive effect on the surrounding hardware - aka your entire HTC Legend!
@Tomm't: I don't think so - I've been using Lamppu (Thanks heaps, Dzondu!) for a few days now - fuse blows a lot at my house - and I've experienced no overheating problems or not turning off problems. Only problem I've had is reduced battery life due to the necessity to call the Camera API before you call the flash-light API (AFAIK, I'm no expert but I think that's correct).
Then again maybe I'm just using it more. Both are possible.

You don't need to run camera, just Lamppu itself and should work
I know you don't need to start the camera app, I mean that the Lamppu app makes an API call for the camera, effectively starting it up so it's sensing, and then turn on the flashlight with a second API call. AFAIK that's how it works and is the only way to make it work, so I meant that if you use the flashlight it basically starts the camera and just doesn't display the image, which takes battery power.

This is the Legend forum??
There is this app too, call Incredilight, works also on rooted Legends
froyo 2.2 has an official HTC flash light application ..
I have been using Lamppu and found some minor bugs..
After i have used it a couple of times the camera wont start, not with the LED turned on or off.. doesn't matter if i turn it off and try the camera, not even killing camera app solves the problem. The only solution i found was to reboot the phone.

[Q] Camera app wont launch

2 days ago my Camera app stopped working either through the hardware button or software all it does is play the opening app animation and return back to the previous screen. Ive tried soft and hard resets of the phone and now ive even reflashed it via NCS to no avail. Now at this point youd think it would be a hardware thing, but apps like "panorama" and "smart shoot" still work and so do all the other camera apps ive downloaded. Anyone managed to fix this?
You seem to be the only one whom has had this issue and reported it. So no, no fix as of now since you are alone on this one.
same here

same thing happened to my phone since yesterday and I've tried hard reset but nothing changes.. Camera only works through smartshoot and if I try to open it just using the original app, or use the camera button, it just won't open and turn back to the home screen

I have exactly the same problem. After 5 days of perfect use of everything, the phone overheated, drained completely within a couple of hours and now it has a permanent problem with the camera: either black screen when launching the camera app, or if it launches, pink stripes and frozen app after 10-15 seconds. It cannot be just a random problem on one device. I've seen the same description of the problem on various forums.
Has Nokia responded on this?
The funny thing is that I live in Greece, the device was bought during a trip abroad and it's not covered by warranty! Regarding Nokia's amazing support policy I have written details at my blog nextbeta.com.

Have you flashed the newest ROM or an older version? Perhaps you might want to try it with the Release ROM to see if that fixes things. Aside from that I fear your only option is to turn it in at a service center and let them figure out what is wrong.
Given that the Flash rewrites the whole system it somehow has to be connected with the hardware.

Wake up gestures and pedometer

Has anyone else had the problem of wake up gestures and pedometer that stops working? The weird thing is....it works fine when attached to the charging cradle?
Check to see if you have enabled the power saving mode. This will turn off the motion wake gesture.
Nope...not activated. Ive done hard resets...reboots, dialed that code to see if the gyro etc had values (it did) im at a loss.
I've been having the same issue ever since I updated the gear to the latest release. Some one please help.

Weird Microphone and Camera issues

I have some pretty weird problems with my Z5c. I bought this phone about a year ago, and since 1 Month ago the microphone stopped working. I changed all the settings that had to do with me microphone, removed the Google Voice recognition. After a restart th emicrophone works again, but only for ~1-2 days. Then it stops working again, in any app. At exactly the same time, my Front FAcing Camera started glitching out in Third-Party-Apps ( not in the included camera app, but in every other that uses the Front facing camera) in the senese that there are horizontal green lines and vertical lines that look like motion blur. It again works normal after a restart, but only for the same time as the audio bug. Any ideas where these bugs come from? Thanks in Advance.

Redmi Note 9 Pro (Joyeuse) Raise to wake not working

So when i first got the phone this feature was working great. However, i don't know when but it had stopped working and I've just realised this. All the sensors seem to be working fine according to CIT tests, also clear data of the settings app, switched this feature is and off but no results. What else can i do? (Except for resetting)
Use the stock launcher.

Are you using third party launcher? If yes, use the stock launcher. Your problem might be resolved!

Already tried that but no luck, prior to that, i received 11.0.4 update and it seemed to have worked for a coupke of days, but still doesnt work anymore
Hey man, have you resolved the raise to wake issue? My problem is similar, my redmi note 9 pro on android 11 stock launcher has the raise to wake feature that stops working every 5 days, meaning every 5 days I reboot phone for the feature to work, then after 5 days it seases to work and I have to reboot phone again for it to work and so on.
Any idea what could be the issue? Gyroscope is working fine as well as accelerometer.
Appreciate any help, i haven't rooted the phone yet, so cannot do much from shell termux...
Regards
