Error 923 while downloading from GPRS/EDGE - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hi all experts,
Last week I updated my Razr to ICS 4.0.4. Thanks to you all! Now I am getting a different kind of error, everything is fine in ICS. I experienced good speed in GPRS/EDGE while browsing and on Google Maps as well. But there is a glitch when it comes to downloading apps from Google Play. After long time on 'Downloading' status I get Error 923, could not download the app. Also the download bar remains to 0%. But status bar shows downloading Icon. Is there any tweak which I forgot to install while upgrading to ICS?

I don't know what the error code means, but a Google search would probably give you an answer/solution, I personally have almost always been able to fix market problems by navigating to settings /applications /manage applications /all scroll down and find the play store, click on it, then clear cashe and data, (possibly reboot), then open the play store and accept the license, and see if that fixes it. Good luck

I would check to make sure you don't have it set to "update via WiFi only"

[Q] Problems with Android Market

Using Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Android market if I try to install any app, it works like this:
10% of the time the app is installed immediately.
10% of the time the app is installed after 2-5 minutes
80% of the time the app is not installed at all, but the "waiting to install" message is just displayed for eternity. But if I go to the My apps page I can see the app I'm trying to install in the "not installed" section. If I select it there and click on install, it's installled immediately. So all in all I'm just hitting download and then go immediately to my apps not installed section to install it from there without any further delays.
This cannot be by design! Please help. All the relevant ports the Market App uses are open and forwarded in the router to the galaxy tab.
market update stopped working, have 28 updates queued

Exactly the same problem on my GT 10.1, the message "Waiting to install" hangs forever way too often when I try to install an app.
Didn't know about the trick with "Not installed", thanks for that.
What market version are you running? I had persistent issues after installing 3.20
I have the same issue
I'm using 1.0.28, the official latest version for the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Use "old market" to revert to pre 3.2 market. But 3.3 works fine for me... s

may be due to slowness in internet. try with high speed internet.
It's on a 32Mbit cable line. Downloading with the Android Browser gives 4 MBytes / second.
I also have this problem! I keep getting disconnected from google talk too. I wonder if these problems are related, since I've heard they both use the same connection to google's servers.
Just to add to the general mess here ... I'm also having the same issue.
Only after restard (sometimes after wifi reset) am I able to download.
I think I've fixed the problem. My mother's google account was associated with a hotmail address. After making a gmail address (from the same google account), she seems to not get disconnected from google talk anymore (after using it to log in) . If your google account doesn't use gmail, try making a gmail address and login with that!
I've had this problem since I got the tab (about 4 months ago) and of course it's had various updates since, none of them fixing the market issue. All I do is cancel the download and try again. this can take several attempts but eventually it works.

Advice would be to wait for sometime and might be the problem get solved by its own..
Otherwise what you can do is to login to market.android.com with your google credentials and download apps from web market, it will work surely.
It happens with me too sometimes but get resolved by its own.
I prefer downloading apps via web market.
downloading from website is the same as downloading with phone, because the website only works for choosing apps that you want to install, so it will not work for me cause my phone won't do the download. I've tried it.
thank you for reply though..

Problem - Google Play only showing first 10 apps, Help?

Hey everyone,
I hope this is in the right section. But just recently i noticed my phone acting weird. Seems when i open google play store and do a search, Most recently i did "Weather Widgets"
It will return with like 6000 app results. Normally when you click the apps bar it takes you to the app results, When you scroll down and you reach the end of the list it will auto load the next group of apps.
Well now when that happens it no longer loads anymore results and it stays stuck on the first 10~15.BUT this is the weird part.. IT ONLY DOES IT FOR APPS and GAMES.
Music and Books the list loads as usual.
So far i have wiped the cache / data and just tried uninstalling the recent update and took it back to version 3.7.15 but google play auto updates itself back to 3.8
This really sucks. Anyone know how to stop google play from auto updating? soon as i wipe it back to 3.7 it auto updates back to 3.8
Nevermind - Resolved.
I guess somewhere along the line when gapps updates to 3.8... it no longer likes the device ID. I checked it and its DROIX but 3/4 of the apps on the market dont show.
So i downloaded Device spoofer and setup gapps as a Nex S. works like a charm

Google Play Notifications Not Working?

Since flashing to UK Jelly Bean, I have not received any app updates in my notification.
When I go to Google Play they are just sitting there, waiting to be updated.
I can clear data and cache in the Application Manager, then go back into Google Play and the notification will work. But this is only a temporary fix.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned this ?

had a similar problem and also include the audio when booting, there was none, what I did basically was to reinstall the fw over odin, and voila it worked
Different version of the S3, but I am having the same issue.. and I do not understand why. I am rooted, Stock rom (with a few tweaks of my own, mostly themed) I've never restored system apps/settings... I don't get it.
Installed the latest version from the Nexus 4 threads.. Guess I'll wait and see.
Having the same issue...I believe that Google play background process is being killed for some reason.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I checked if there were any updates via the web site and found a foursquare update.. No notification.
I only received a notification when I rebooted my device...
Side note: I only get xda forum app notifications after a reboot even though it's set to check every 30 minutes.
It is working.... but there is a long delay.
If I go into Google Play at night, and there is/are updates, the notification will not show until the next morning.
If I check in the morning, it will come up in the evening.
Google servers must be busy since Jelly Bean rollouts.

[Q] Re: [ROM] CM9 / LiquidSmooth / AOKP / Random ICS

Hey all.
I've been running this rom for a month now and i'm just now getting errors with the Play Store and Maps, where the process stops unexpectedly. Now, the apps do not want to run at all.
Also, I've been getting the 'white' screen in Gmail / Facebook / Google Reader. I never use the notifications and always access content directly from the apps.
Any advice?
Maybe try a reflash.

blank emails fix
Go to settings, advance, Enhancement.
Make sure tile rendering is checked. Composition type is mdp. Also make sure Composition bypass is checked. Then set Gmail to sync 7 days. This is what fixed my blank Gmail. It was posted in twisteds thread over at the development section. Don't know by whom and what page.
billing not supported
with the latest build... i'm getting the following error (this started after a few reboots).
google play store - "billing is not supported in this version"
the app closes and will not start/run.
any advice?
Force close the play store and clear data and try it again.
I've had that as well, but force closing the app and going back into it usually fixes it.
mobile network not available
has anyone experienced this while on the rom?
i'm not receiving a 'mobile network not available' after the rom is booted up.
i do not see any information about the sim card or the baseband installed.
i've reflashed the radios and reinstalled the rom... hasnt resolved this, yet...
anything?
