Which tutorial do y'all prefer when it comes to overclocking? Has anyone tried SetCPU?

Setcpu is all I use and seems to work fine.

What scaling do you use? Change anything else?

I use smartassv2 on ktoonsez's kernel. I've underclocked to 1026MHz, and have a profile for screen off and battery <30%.

SmartassV2 has a built in screen off profile with quick wake, so a setcpu profile for the same is redundant and could cause issues...

Are you talking about changing the frequencies (overclocking and undervolting) or the frequencies (and levels) built into the kernel?
The ones built into the kernel.

It depends on your processor. See here: http://code.google.com/p/milestone-overclock/wiki/SmashingTheAndroidKernel (for OMAP).
I've been doing some troubleshooting about my random freezing and think I have it down to the dock at night. If I leave it on then turn the screen off it freezes. Has anyone had this problem

where can I find the customize setting u talking about

1) Siyah got a bad reputation from the MMC_CAP_ERASE bug in a kernel he removed a day after he released it, all his kernels are fine now.
2) Download ExTweaks, open it, go to the BLN sub menu, at the bottom there is an LED voltage setting, play with it.

There's no reason to be scared of siyah kernel. But you can do the same thing in fluxi kernel, and it's still being updated regularly

Right now DSB is trying to get rid of sod, so he got rid of some of the tweaks and I don't think it has gpu oc in it right now.
Then it looks like beastmode also had it.

So my problem is that no matter which ROM/Kernel I flash on my Vibrant, I can't seem to OC above 1200 without an RR. Anyone have a solution to my dilemma?
I'm currently running Hellybean and Cyancore 2.6
