sorry i am a noob
but i can get any original firmware or according to my region ?
i logged in to sam mobile and i found many firmwares choose any one of the ?
thanks for the reply
sam mobile should have the original firmware for your region. the latest and the older ones I believe. Any original and official firmware, even older ones should work fine. You could always update back to the latest official one using kies once your phone works again.
Alternatively you can check http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278 for your region specific firmware. Just follow the intstruction of flashing with odin and it should be fine.

Thanks mate
do i have to download the kernel ?/
The entire firmware info package you can download from the XDA thread has the kernel already. The Stock kernel download is just to reflash the kernel in say errors with kernels or if you flashed a CF-root kernel and want it back to original. Follow the instructions in the opening post regarding to flashing with Odin completely.

Hi. I want to 1. delete everything on my phone like was on the day whe i bought it and 2. come back to official android 4.2.2 and get updates like before root. Now i have 4.2.2 XELKB Carbon. How can i do this ? And you thing official 4.2.2 ill be better then XELKB or whats different between this and official ?
There is no "official" android 4.2.2 for the S3 yet, you'd have to go back to 4.1.2.
Look for Odin guides on how to flash Official ROMs, they are all over the forum
tomorrow, by odin
Help me understand whats different between all of 4.1.2 here ( so many ) http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9300 and which i should choose ?

Going back to original state means unrooting your phone and installing your correct stock ROM. Go to sammobile.com download the correct stock ROM. I.e. was it branded before you rooted your phone? Or is it i9300 (unbranded international version). One you got your ROM download Odin. Don't worry about the versions for your stock or Odin. Turn your phone off. start Odin on PC. Connect your phone to PC put your phone in download mode (power+volume down+home). You'll see your phone connected in Odin. Select PDA in Odin. Then select the downloaded ROM from Sam mobile. Click start. It'll un root your phone and install the original ROM. Once installed you may need to go into recovery (volume up+home+power) and wipe cache. Once booted normal your phone will connect to internet and starts updating it self.
Caution: download the correct rom for your phone.
Run into any prob. Let us know here.

If you don't have a exSdCard. Connect your phone to pc and upload into internal card.
For complete wipe I personally use twrp recovery. It has simple option of wiping things. Then also help to install anything you want. You can also find odin version of any rom you want as rootsu said above. But remember flashing rom increase your binary counter.and always read about the rom you want to flash if it is compatible with your phone model or you can end up with a brick.

Why return it to stock? I would recommend flashing an i9305 recovery from Odin then flashing an i9305 pre-rooted ROM via recovery....
However, heres how to return it to stock.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671969
You need it to boot (With rooted) to be able to reset the counter though. It may not even need resetting yet though. Check download mode for info

Hi, i just bought my note 2 and ive already unlocked it and rooted it, i want to use a ROM that has 4.3 Jelly Bean like the N3BULA ROM, it says flash the MJ9 OTA Firmware using Odin. But on the forums there is a forum called "Once you're unlocked don't use odin to flash custom ROMs"
1. I should be able to flash the MJ9 using odin safely right because its not a custom rom right?
2. How do i flash the MJ9 update using odin?
3. Once i flash the MJ9 update can i still use non 4.3 ROM?
Question 1: You are correct.
Question 2: Download, then extract with 7zip. Put phone into download mode. Open Odin on computer and connect the phone. Place extracted md5 into the pda slot and hit start. It'll do it's thing and your phone will reboot and be done.
Question 3: Yes as long as don't take the OTA update from Samsung you will able load roms as usual
Once my phone is in download mode, odin doesn't recognize my phone. Any reason why ? I'm so frustrated

Check your drivers. If you've used casual, sometimes removing those drivers will help and by also installing updated Samsung drivers.
If you've done all of the above and it's still not recognized. I recommend trying a different USB cable.

Info that may help: I searched here in xda not on this device or I'd post a link, for how to install Odin and found that for each Samsung device there are some set of Odin versions that are compatible. I used Odin just now (took less than a minute) version 3.07 for my phone. Note that my drivers were already installed and working since I unlocked the bootloader a year ago. For others: it simply rebooted afterwards and all is well.

i just flashed twrp-2.8.6.0-t03gub.img.tar from here http://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxynote2n7100.html
i thought this is the latest TWRP

for gt-7100 is correct this twrp-2.8.6.0-t03g.img.tar.
caution - twrp-2.8.6.0-t03gub.img.tar, twrp-2.8.6.0-t03gduoszn.img.tar, are other devices
size > 8MB, beyond the incompatibility and lost partition EFS, now recovery using stock rom .
Messed up with dev/block and efs !
Download stock rom for n7100 from samsung's official site.
Flash stock rom using odin.
This will reset your modem/radio (lost IMEI) and efs folder.

I know the feeling...i avoid all the TWRP updates and keep only the version 2.7.2.1, with this one i have no problems at all. The version 2.8.5 worked well...but after my 3rd ou 4th flash/reflash ROM i lost the Mobile Network...and yes, im pretty sure that was caused by the recovery.
After fix the mobile network problems, i reversed to TWRP 2.7.2.1...flash, reflash and flas again the same ROM and its all working fine.
I never had any problems with CWM..but TWRP make F2FS easy to implement on nandroid, thats why i keep using it.
I Just get the Mobile Netwok back, after flashing oficial Sammy ROM with desktop Odin.

Applied twrp-2.8.0.0-l900.img and modem.bin
To clarify my issue (same as OP): Applying twrp-2.8.6 seems to have ganked my modem. Everything else works. I tried MULTIPLE times to restore to factory, then apply twrp then restore from backup. Found out it is only happening AFTER I apply twrp 2.8.6. I finally found a copy of twrp 2.8.5 for the L900 but that has the same issue, so I applied 2.8.0 and the modem bin at the same time. This seems to have fixed the radio and i am back to functionality AND twrp is installed.
Now, I am not POSITIVE that it requires both actions (it might just be an issue with 2.8.5 and 2.8.6), but the solution was:
Code:
heimdall flash --RECOVERY twrp-2.8.0.0-l900.img --RADIO ./ALL_SPT_L900VPUCNE2_L900SPTCNE2_1561791_REV04_user_low_ship/modem.bin --no-reboot
If I have to do this again, I would apply twrp-2.8.0.0-l900.img first using your loader of choice (Odin3 or heimdall et al.) and see if that was all that was necessary or they both have to be applied (for some wildly cool magics that I am sure no one would be able to figure out).

Oh man, thanks so much for posting this. I ran into the same trouble (flashed latest twrp and lost network). Just ODINed the modem.bin back and my phone is back!
I need help to unbrick my phone. Here are the details of my phone and things I did before it became useless.
- Version: Updated version of Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Marshmallow Android 6.0.
- replaced its recovery with TWRP via odin (3.10.6)
- install a ROM with the use of TWRP recovery.
- After rooting my phone and flashing a new rom via TWRP, I can't use my phone's physical buttons.
I also tried full-wipe installation of Custom rom and I got the same issue. I tried restoring it to a stock rom, but it always says "Fail".
Do you guys have any suggestions how can I fix my phone?
Which rom did you flash?
What point in odin does it fail?
I take it you have G925F? Not G8.
Whats your region and what firmware did you try to flash (stock)

Thank you for your reply. Here are my answers:
-I flashed "CarHDRom" to my phone using TWRP 3.0.
- Yes, 825F is just a typo, G925F is the correct model name. I double checked it in the box.
- Philippines, and I already downloaded the firmware that you suggested in another post about softbricked g925F (G925FXXU3DPAD_G925FOXA3DPAD_XEU).

- Philippines, and I already downloaded the firmware that you suggested in another post about softbricked g925F (G925FXXU3DPAD_G925FOXA3DPAD_XEU).

I would first try with odin v 3.10.7 not 3.10.6.
Make sure you have origional cable and debug mode is on in dev options.
If this fails look for the firmware in the picture. Download and flash that.
Any problems let me know

Still Fail after trying different original Samsung Cable. Please check my attachment.
By the way, where can I see that? Can you share the link for me?

I suggest TWRP. Make a full Nandroid back up before just incase. But if anything goes wrong you can just flash that stock back to fix.
I would root first with cf autoroot.
Then flash your ROM.
Do a full wife when rom installer asks as this is safest way.
If it bootloops just wait.
Glad i can help
Well it looks like CarHDRom is not compatible with my phone. Tried flashing it twice and I waited for 30mins of booting but it doesn't continue.
