Here the steps. When i get to work i ll try to find a rom with a pit in it.
1 download the rom
2 unzip it. U ll find 3 files one goes. Open odin and place one in pda, one in csc and the other in pit (when i have the link with the file i ll tell u which one in which place)
3 put your cell in dowbload mode ( hold volume down+ menu button+powerbutton till "samsung gt-i9100" screen appears)
4 Connect it to pc, in odin you ll see that everything is fine when u get a yellow rectangle
5 Press start and wait till the phone reboots it self
6 root your phone (i think u know how, if not tell me and ill help u too)

tried flashing the rom again ...odin fails saying no pit file found .... ditto flashing a kernal ...
looked around net and tried flashing a pit file ... odin log says > Re-Partition operation failed ....

Why are you trying to repartition your phone..PIT-Partition Information Table..is used for partitioning the flash memory of your device.. flash the firmware as PDA with repartition checked off..

Go to the download mode and flash rom via Odin. Make sure you have enough battery
Download mode: hold power + home + volume down until you see it on screen.
Make sure you have the right version of the rom to use it with Odin.

i wanted to install a new room for my S5830i after i rooted it and tried to install a KERNEL CM7 and it did install without errors , but when i restarted it loaded the RECOVERY MODE and foozed none of the buttons does respond .
i,ll be greatful for any tips or any help
thanks
you say you flashed cm kernel, then i would assume that u flashed hells fusion kernel..cuz it has cwm as default recovery...
simply flash stock kernel through odin and everything will be okay..
or flash any other kernel through odin..
recovery doesn't work then u must flash via odin..
i hope u can get to download mode by pressing vol up+vol down+power

For flashing via Odin DO NOT BOOT INTO RECOVERY MODE. Boot into DOWNLOAD MODE. here is a description below.
The Samsung drivers must be properly installed and phone recognized prior to flashing with odin.
1. Open the "Odin307" folder and right click on "Odin3 v3.07.exe" and choose run as
administrator. Odin will open.
2. place your phone into download mode. Turn off phone - press and hold volume down, home
button and power button at the same time. When you see the warning push the volume up
button to continue.
3. Plug your usb cord to your phone and computer and wait until you see any number and com
in the com
4. Check the PDA block and browse to the tar file you would like to flash.
5. that settings are correct for what you are doing
When all this is setup Odin should look like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
6. If everything looks like the picture, click on the start button in Odin.
Please do not mess iwth the other options in Odin.
