I ordered a case from these guys and gotta say it is the nicest case I have purchased for any phone.
It was really nice to pick your own leather, color, inside material and color, get it emobssed, etc.
I have nothing to do with them so this is just my opinion.

Yes it's called EASECASE, I ordered mine a few days ago and I'm still waiting for it in the mail. How long did it take from the day you ordered it to the day it was delivered to you? Ordered mine on AUG. 18th and it was yesterday that it left HKG!
Post some screen shots of your case.
I agree. I'm on my second one of these. The first was for my HTC Touch HD with the belt clip. I found that after some time the clip lost it's tension and would easily be pulled up and off my belt by my jacket etc. I was constantly touching it to make sure it was still there!
My second from this maker is for my new HTC Touch Pro2 and has the belt loop fitted. This is much more secure but is a pain having to swap it over after work when I get home and change.

I ordered it on August 22. 2009 and I must have gotten it on September 4th.
I went with black with an olive pig skin suede for the interior.

Wow, you ordered yours 4 days after me and ended up getting yours before me. Oh well, it's well worth the wait!
Thanks for the shots. I will post some shots of mine here when I get it. ...whenever that is.
EDIT: I just looked up my case on USPS.com and it's suppose to be delivered to me tomorrow. Since tomorrow is Labor Day, USPS will not be delivering any mail.
I ordered one from them too, they shipped it out on August 31st via registered Air Mail, they said 6-14 working days to get it, so it should be here either this week or next. This is the one I got-
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...:X:AAQ:US:1123
I got these options-
#. Type code: EC-HTC-Touch Pro2-D2
1. Outer leather: EM cowhide black 03
2. Lining leather: Pigskin suede black
3. Closure: Two hidden magnets
4. Belt clip:Belt clip D
5. Personal words stamping-M.W.C
Edit-Heavy, did you get a tracking number with yours? I just got the shipping email, no tracking number.
Yeah, send a PM to the seller to give you the tracking number. That's what I did.

Thanks, I'm gonna do that now!
I got one for my TP from here - best case I ever had - now thinking of it for my new TP2.
Hmm I'm thinking of getting the A5 because I don't want to constanly flip open a strap when I want quick access to the phone...
Got my case today, I will post pics later.
Cool, I'm looking forward to it! I sent a message to the seller about a tracking number, but no reply yet, I don't expect one until this evening when it's mid morning in China

Yeah I know! I get a reply from them around 11pm - midnight.

1. Outer leather: Nappa cowhide black 02
2. Lining leather: Microfiber suede red
3. Closure: Two hidden magnets
4. Belt clip: Belt clip D (W/ finger push up hole)

So I just ordered mine today with Nappa black and olive PigSkin and the B beltclip. Looks Like a very nice product.. So does it look as good in person as it does in pics i.e. quality wise? I mean does it feal like it will last a while (Durable)?
Feels great and def. looks as great as the pics. BUT I have NO idea if it's real genuine leather!!! I sniffed it, but then sniffed my wallet which IS genuine leather and they smell different. My wallet has a real leather scent, but the case smells ...NEW! I can't really tell if it is or not. Lol
You ordered the pigskin suede. I wonder what's the difference between microfiber and the pigskin. Besides one is pigskin and microfiber suede. One last longer then the other or is it just the feel of it?
I sent the seller a PM asking if it is. I hope he says yes!!! Then we will def. know that it is durable.
I personaly think pig skin feels better and I think it last longer the microfiber (but thats just me) I have and old case with Microfiber and its all worn. Or I think its Microfiber.
Hopew he saihs its genuin leather too..
Just ordered an A5 in Nappa brown with Olive green pigskin. Looking at these pictures, I'm pumped for the final product.
As far as durability between suede and microfiber, in my limited knowledge of fabrics I do believe that natural leather suede is more durable than its synthetic microfiber counterpart. wikipedia seems to agree. As an added bonus, chamois are always made of natural leather and are regarded as the most non-abrasive material to use when washing/drying a car! Hope this helps you.
Well, mine's in the US now, it was processed through Jamaica, NY this morning, so I will have it by the end of the week, I'm stoked! I wonder why it went frrom Hong Kong to NYC though, now it's got to go all the way west to CA after probably flying over it on the way east, double back lol, I wonder why it didn't just come in to San Francisco or Oakland (I live 120 miles northwest of SF in Mendocino County). No worries, it's a comin' now!
My order-

Niiiiiiiice!
I gave up. Went to office depot and purchased a leather portfolio, you know the one used to carry paper tablet, went to home depot and purchased some good quality velcro strips and got busy. What ended up with is a protected gtablet w/clearence at the bottom for heat and all ports are accessable. It looks good too. Cool.
picture???
Why not post a pic or two?
When I get home, will post pic.
Pic's
Granted I have to work on back rest, but I believe you get it. I will apply the remaining strips for stability.
Awesome. I was going to do something similar with an old binder from a conference but the dog got it too (see "Anyone got an extra case? thread)
EDIT: I was going to use vinyl tubing cut lengthwise to form flexible clasps for the top and bottom, maybe even a side, if anyone wants to give that a try. Oh, and the dog also got my prototype case that I will be posting the design for here soon, after I rebuild what she destroyed. Luckily I noted the dimensions.
Nice!!! Checked Office Depot but found nothing close to the Samsonite you have. Do you have the Office Depot SKU #?

When I bought my HTC Advantage 4 1/2 years ago there was no decent case for it anywhere - like the Note it has a large screen (5") and unlike the Note a very large body. I found Nutshell (a.k.a. Tough-as-Nuts) and their line of cases - built like tanks, literally with gun holster components including heavy leather and heavy-duty belt clips. We had a long discussion about it here, including pics http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344605 . It ended up being the only case most XDA members bought.
Fast forward to today, now that I have my Note on pre-order my first stop was to check out the Nutshell offering for the Note. This is the one I found:
http://tuff-as-nuts.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-belt-case.aspx
I also happened to find an old post offering a discount, which I didn't know about when I ordered my other case. This offer may not even be valid:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=259275
I haven't ordered the case yet, I want to see how well the Note fits into my Advantage case first - it will fit the height and width but the Advantage case may be too roomy for the thickness since it is twice as thick as the Note. If I do order one I'll report back here with pics and a fresh review.
Edited 4/12. Case arrived today, ordered on March 26th (I used the "tuff02" 10% discount code mentioned below). Just as well-built as my old case, even stronger because they now build in something flat and hard into the back wall. By putting the phone into the case with the screen facing inward the screen will be fully protected. I ordered the pen loop option this time. I always carried one inside my last case but that phone was so thick there was room next to it. As I figured, there isn't enough room for a pen next to the Note - too thin. I'm not complaining.
In the last picture you can see a bump under the leather below the metal clip. That, along with the lower lip of the clip, keeps it on your belt no matter what you do.
I'm still looking for a case for mine and came across your post; thank you for sharing. I'm still gonna do some more looking, but this one is now on my list as a possibility (that is if they take them off hold and actually start making them).
FYI...
I tried the coupon code "tuff01" in the thread you linked to and it showed up 5% savings. For the heck of it I tried punching in "tuff02" and it shows 10% savings.

Sweet! I'll be sure to use that.
This case is awesome. I also got one for my MDA, still looks like new.
Quick update, I noticed they removed their placeholder page for the Note case (the 2nd link in my 1st post above). I've emailed them to find out which of their cases would be best. I looked at this chart to match up to the Note's specs (146.85 x 82.95 x 9.65mm):
http://tuff-as-nuts.com/beltcasessizetable.aspx
At first glance their case #215 would work - it appears to be the right length and width, but it has twice the depth as it should for the Note so it would flop around. Then I noticed case 270 right above it is the very one I already have for my Advantage and I already know that case is the right height, but too wide and again way too much depth. So that would mean 215 would be too long! I'm not spending $60 and waiting 2 weeks to find out it won't hold the phone securely. If I hear back from them I'll report back.
I am currently using a NutShell case I got as a freebee back at one of the PPC expos it is a very good fit (I do have the Samsung flip cover on it). The design is their basic case with the notched corners and no clip (leather slip panel the belt goes thru)
Cheers
BR
I received a reply from the company:
Almost there
Still awaiting final asset approval.
http://tuff-as-nuts.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-belt-case.aspx
So the placeholder page is back, and it says they are taking preorders if you are interested. I may make an order today.
Thanks for the info, techntrek. Please post if you hear anything. I'm a former (heck I still have it) Advantage owner looking into the note now, and one of the first things I'm looking at is a belt case like I used to love back then!
- I also sent you a pm. Interested in comparisons for former Advantage users to compare against the Note.
I had an Advantage. What questions do you have?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Thanks for the reply, but too late - I bought the Note a week ago. Loving it except for battery life problems (which I'm researching again now!)
Yup, we had a nice conversation comparing the Advantage to the Note.
Glad to hear you got one.
BTW it looks like this case is now available. Getting ready to order, using the "tuff02" discount code.
Just ordered, may take up to 2 weeks for delivery.
I've been wearing my phone on my belt for more years then I can remember - but since I had nothing for the Note up front, I've been carrying it loose in my pocket (with screen protector & ultra-slim bumper case) for a week.
..and I might stay this way for a while. I was always catching my case on things before. I was also hoping the vibration would be easy to feel in the pocket, but this past weekend proved the vibration isn't strong enough.
Might switch back to a belt pouch later, but going to stick with this way for a while & see. Be sure to post reviews of the Tuff case when you get it!
Ditto, I've been trying it in the pocket for the last 5 1/2 weeks, also hoping I could get away from the pouch. But it was always hard getting it out, so I'm back to a pouch. I agree it is surprisingly hard to feel the thing vibrate even when its sitting right on your leg.
Updated post #2 with a full review, including pictures.
Two things I would change so far. I never used the D-ring on my old case, and never will on this one. I should have asked them to leave it off. Looks like it will be easy to remove with a razor blade.
I'm glad I got the pen holder/loop, but I should have asked them to put it on the BACK edge, and since I always wear it on my right hip, to put it on the side that faces rear (the right side as you face the back).
Some things for you to consider if you order one.
Nut case for Galaxy Note
This is my 2nd tuff-as-nuts case. My first outlived all of my 3 iPhones. It is still in almost new condition in my drawer. This is the nicest hip holster I have found. I have tried several. The clip will never break. The fit is very snug for the first week or so and then it loosens up. I am very happy with this case ever though it is expensive. I got chocolate leather with belt clip and full magnetic flap.

Thanks for valuable info re: cases w/beltclips - will the phone fit with the candy shell over it??
The fit is VERY tight with no cover. They design to the factory specs and go slightly smaller, counting on the leather to stretch a little.
They will make custom versions for a small extra charge, or you could compare all of their models by size (look for the link on the left side of their home page) and pick one that is slightly larger. The one they originally made for the Advantage is probably the one you'll need. If there is any wild chance you live in central MD you could try my old case and buy it from me if it works.
hello i have the 5.0 usa version and i was looking for a good protective case. if u guys know any please tell meee
Here's a good one
I'm going to order this case, looks very good and very cheap!
sorry for no real link, i'm too new to post links. pm me and i'll give you the link.
EDIT:turns out that case was a bust. I found another one, but it's 19 bucks plus 6 dollars shipping.
Update to my zagg review; DO NOT BUY INVISIBLE SHIELD! The back protector just peeled up and got a bunch of dirt under the edge just because I stuck it in a leather phone case that was a little snug! Absolute junk! The adhesive they use is worthless! Maybe it is just bad luck, but I doubt it since it has peeled on the front AND back! I am going to rip this junk off and reinstall some awesome xtreme guard for a 10th the price of overated zagg crap!

I bought a ZAGG too, thought it was a case! Crap.
Check out www.rearthusa.com. They have a case for the Galaxy Player
Nintendo Cases for the 5.0!
Hi Folks! I bought my SGP5.0 back in January and still learning my way around it. Its a neat lil gadget and a good choice over the 7+ I was looking to get. Discovered it at the last minute as Best Buy was selling it as an MP3 player!
While at BB, I too wanted a case to keep it in and scoured the store for something that would apply. They had this Nintendo case which works great!
POWER A Pokemon Zip Case for Nintendo DS Lite
Inside it has 2 elastic bands to keep the game secure. For the 5.0, I cut out the upper band as it's not necessary, as the 5.0 will fit rather snuggly in the case. For me to get it out, I just push from the bottom and it pops out. Thats how snug it is! The other half of the case easily holds up to 2 styli and 3 memory cards.
The down side is it does not have a belt clip, but for day to day it does the trick and the case will protect your 5.0! And it's 10 bucks!
If you need a case to carry everything, then go to Walmart for this slightly larger case:
POWER A 3DS Mini Transporter Case Blue 3DS Nintendo DS Dsi
The front compartment has a nice pocket to hold your 5.0 with a velcro strap, and styli. The back half can hold 12 memory cards, or if you don't need that many, there's room for your usb cord and ac adapter. This case has a handle that you can loop your belt through to keep it at your side. At the store it was in black as well as blue, and cost $15.
I hope all this helps. I too checked online, but did want to spend a lot of money on a case or wait for Samsung to make one.
Steve
BTW, try one of those small picture frame stands to hold your 5.0 landscape style for watching videos/movies! You'll have to add those little rubber cushions to keep it from sliding, and you may have to shape the stand to better hold the 50, but it works and can be carried easily as it folds.
I have a Riot Outfitters case.Bought from Best Buy. I like the feel of it, and come with a handy kickstand. Though, it did brush of SOME paint in about 3 months. Still, i would like to see a clear case for the SGP5.0 to see that SEXY back.
Just received my Rearth case with screen protector and now I feel comfortable taking my Galaxy Player everywhere I go. It also looks sexy.
I'll post some photos of my Galaxy Player when I get home.

Yea I bought one of those cases for my US player as well back when they first came out. The thing is, there is a small hole on the bottom for an HDMI port which leads me to believe the case is meant for the Korean player. I also noticed that the case is a bit too long because it does not fit over the front speaker all the way. Although I visited their page recently and noticed that it's been fixed, so I may consider repurchasing.
Rearth Ringke SLIM on SGP5.0 or YP-G70
My Samsung Galaxy Player (US version) fits very well in this case. A few of the first batches were shrunken, but now they have solved the problem. It fits snugly and protects it nicely. There are cutouts for the international version for the antenna and the sim card placement (?). Even with the cutouts, it has protected my device from many drops and falls. It's a good millimeter thick beyond the camera and speakers. It's on Amazon right now for about $16 US.
