AT&T Backup and restore your IMEI / MEID / EFS Data - Galaxy S III Q&A, (US Carriers)

SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 QCOM TOOLKIT using it while being rooted he has a option to backup your efs files with IMEI in a .tar file that you can restore so this may be a great idea to do before flashing roms.Make sure you do your backup and be sure to give him a THANKS for this great program.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746665

Pretty sure this does not work on us models..that is, the program works but what it backs up does not get your imei number.

Your right after opening the backup file it backed up everything but in the IMEI folder it just said ATT so i do apologize, but its still a good program :good: now to figure out what caused it the last thing i did was used terminal emulator for the CWM Touch.but thanks for the update.

Sorry but it is not possible to restore files from a full-wiped S3 since the data partition is for multiple reasons no longer an additional fat32 partition but piggybacking in the system's ext4.
However I want to point out that a full-wipe is only done on the stock recovery, not when using Cwm.

EFS Backup

There seem to be many ways to back up your EFS, which is the preferred method and easiest to restore if anything does go amiss? Or is it best to use a couple of methods just in case?
why did you post a question in this section?
Use all of them. Many backups better protection

Can anyone give me there favourite method or is it belts and braces and use everything? When I root again i was going to use goomanager and install TWRP does this also backup EFS?
Root your phone, navivate to /efs folder and backup it to external sd card

so a simple copy and paste would restore my efs folder in the event of a mishap?
Go to the market their are a number of tools or go to the faqs and guides .
Many custom roms now backup EFS on install .

Not excessive just unusual most noobs just blindly ignore all the instructions .
Suggest you also copy the backed up EFS to your PC for double safety .

I'll take that as a compliment
Ill back it up on pc and dropbox.

Ok. If I may ask another question.
Im ready to root using cf auto root. Then I back up efs using efs pro...
Then I install goomanager and flash twrp recovery. Can I then use this to back up efs again? Whilst rooted I also browse ro efs folder and copy it to hdd for safe keeping.
After this I can flash a ROM safe in the knowledge that my imei is safe.

Network not registered!!

Hey guys
So I'm not getting any service at the moment even though my IEMI and serial number haven't changed and they dint start with 00. I was running CM10.2 when I had signal. Then I decided to flash a different rom. After doing so I lost my signal to I reverted back to the 10.2CM rom I was using and now I don't have any signal. I've looked at other posts on this and I've tried many things but I can't see where it what the problem is caused by and how to fix it

First you read the faqs and guides and learn how to.
I9300 does not have locked bootloader.
Second don't hijack threads with a totally different question .

IMEI number is fine starts with 35. APN settings is for the Internet. I can't send or receive calls as well as text message. Mobile data dosent work. Wifi does. As for the apn settings I can't seem to find the proper EE one

try to restore your very first buck up then try to flash the rom you want
You need to downgrade back to your old rom for that old efs backup of yours to work
