So, I softbricked my galaxy s3 because I was messing with my efs files....anyway after I flashed back a new stock firmware I have lost all my photos, music and games data.
Can anyone tell me if I can restore them back?
Thanks

Sorry but it is not possible to restore files from a full-wiped S3 since the data partition is for multiple reasons no longer an additional fat32 partition but piggybacking in the system's ext4.
However I want to point out that a full-wipe is only done on the stock recovery, not when using Cwm.

Hey Guys,
After flashing a Custom ROM, i went to restore all my apps from Titanium backup but it gave me the warning that my device's 'Android ID' has been changed and gave me the options to restore the old one/ask later/keep the current one.
Does anyone know the best way to proceed?
Yes, hit restore, it will reboot, job done

Is it necessary to restore Android ID? I always ignore it and haven't notice any problem yet.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
I think it applies to root protected apps ie banking etc, so if you don't have these I don't think you will get problems

hey guy before i was having wanamlite ROM, when i heard about jellybam i decided to flash it to my phone, so i backed up using titanium backup and samsung kies, now after flashing kies is not recognizing it at all, keeps on saying connecting, now how can i restore my SMS, and kther things too???

Kies works only on Samsung based ROMs.
You would've known this if you read and followed the first rule of XDA.

PS it's "recognition".

Use titanium......in future!
If your back up is on Kies then you will have to go back to your stock Rom I'm guessing, then Kies will recognize your phone.
Why anyone uses Kies is beyond me

There seem to be many ways to back up your EFS, which is the preferred method and easiest to restore if anything does go amiss? Or is it best to use a couple of methods just in case?
why did you post a question in this section?
Use all of them. Many backups better protection

Can anyone give me there favourite method or is it belts and braces and use everything? When I root again i was going to use goomanager and install TWRP does this also backup EFS?
Root your phone, navivate to /efs folder and backup it to external sd card

so a simple copy and paste would restore my efs folder in the event of a mishap?
Go to the market their are a number of tools or go to the faqs and guides .
Many custom roms now backup EFS on install .

Not excessive just unusual most noobs just blindly ignore all the instructions .
Suggest you also copy the backed up EFS to your PC for double safety .

I'll take that as a compliment
Ill back it up on pc and dropbox.

Ok. If I may ask another question.
Im ready to root using cf auto root. Then I back up efs using efs pro...
Then I install goomanager and flash twrp recovery. Can I then use this to back up efs again? Whilst rooted I also browse ro efs folder and copy it to hdd for safe keeping.
After this I can flash a ROM safe in the knowledge that my imei is safe.
