yea =/
why does it do that? and how do i avoid it?

It's an issue with lucky patcher, the details are complicated but basically you have to do a full wipe, I haven't found a different way around it.

Easy to solve. No need to wipe.
Just launch lucky patcher and Press the menu soft key. From the options that pop up select TROUBLESHOOTING.
Then select REMOVE ALL FIXES & BACKUPS.
Phone will restart and problem solved.

Or you can look in the /data/app/ folder and find the .odex file for the app you are trying to update and delete it.

did it install as a system app? Strange. Could always use tibu to convert to a user app(if it is a system app) or just clear data and uninstall from tibu itself.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
This app is a security application is it not? There are 2 options for install, both an apk file as well as a flashable zip. Did you install the apk or flash the zip. As well did the developer of the app give special instructions on uninstalling? If the app is for locating a lost phone there may be a trick to the uninstall process.
Titanium backup should allow the removal if your phone is rooted.

For me, I use avast and they have a removal tool built into the app for the anti theft portion. After that's removed you can uninstall the antivirus portion like any other apk. I would definitely check within the app first to see if there's a removal tool.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
Ah yes thank you for reminding me. Usually there is ab option in the app that let's you un install it normally but since I was having problems the Dev Gave me a custom apk to run (and now another one which is why I had to uninstall) and I did move it as a system app that's why. I was successfully able to remove through titanium backup. Idk why I didn't think of it before. Thanks guys! Btw I highly recommend this app for security purposes.

Plenty of space but not installing

Hi all,
My problem is that I'm not able to install any apps at the moment. The app is only 10mbs (antutu), it's downloading but when it comes to install I get an error msg. Insufficient space available.
However my sd card has more than 5gb, and Internal mem has 500mb. I have the mod that switches these memory as well.
Why am I getting this error msg and how can I fix it?
Thanks.

Use root explorer and go to system\apps\
Delete auntutu or something similer to this program.
Ex. Autuntu.odex

Try installing Lucky patcher. And just open it. It will most probably clear the problem. Easiest method.

I run into that issue too off and on, I'm curious about the response too. I assume you're referring to side loads, do you get any issues trying to install anything from the market?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
Marketplace works just fine. just outside sources are and I have that checked...

Drop the apk in /data/app and reboot.
Drop it there and then install reboot or other way around??
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Just paste it in.
May wanna fix permissions in recovery after, but just pasting it there should install it.
So it should be in the app drawer upon booting up.
OK I'll try that

Depending on the app,/apk it may require placing it in system/app folder.

Also... depending on the app there may be an accompanying lib file that needs to go in /system/lib

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
Download a game from outside source. Moved to the data/app via folder manager. Rebooted into recovery, fixed permissions then rebooted again

If it's paid apps you're trying to download and pirate, no further help will be given here.
No lol not pirated apps... no outside sources is letting me download...

It's your rom ....(which one are you using)?
I've had a few like that ....and you need a different browser.
Download boat browser from the play store....and install it.....or use dolphin browser as well.
Then use TIBU to freeze your default browser then reboot.
You should get downloads after that....if not ....you may need a different build....
If using a touchwiz based rom, this problem will occur on occasion.
Post back up with your results ...g
I'm using latest PA. I'll try what you said and post back..

I am using the Avast one,
Works perfectly tbh,
But if you want protection maybe also put the WIFI on even if the device is in sleep,
or mobile networking.
Else you wont be able to track it back.
Also dont forget to install the Anti Theft inside Avast and register yourself etc etc.
But bro does it stay even we format and install new rom

Dont see how that is possible .
Wipe would mean wiping the app and its data and transmission .App would need to be already built in to a non erasable part of the phone .

Not much can stay if you wipe with Odin - but some stuff (at least Avast) can survive a "factory mode reset" (from settings) - most thieves will only do that.
Nope bro. In here thieves installing custom roms. So i need some app which go to system stuff.

I use cerberus and the best way to hide it is to install it under a different name as a system app and then hide it from the App Drawer. Even if you wipe your data it won`t delete the app because it is a system app.
However if someone steals your phone and it happens to be a power user who knows what CWM, Odin and Root is (like most guys here at XDA) then you have a problem and you can`t do nothing when that`s the case because when you install a new ROM over the old one then the system folder will be overwritten and your app is gone. Nothing you can do about it.
But luckely 90% or so of the Smartphone users are people who have no idea what Root is or what ClockworkMod Recovery is, so it would be really bad luck if you happen to lose your phone and it comes into the hands of a power user.
Thanks bro im rooted and using hidden version of cerbus. But waiting for a solution...

To my knowledge that`s impossible.
If you are really worried about theft, always keep an eye on your phone.
There's only a limited amount of functions an app can carry out, the function you seek isn't available my friend!
Thanks friends. Sorry for wasting your time. Thanks again...

Just to tell u that on cerberus website there is a cwm zip and flashing it will move the cerberus app in boatloader partition....
So now it can even survive a mega wipe too...
Click Thanks If my reply was helpful.
yeah bro. I did it as above mentioned. (Y),,,,

The cerberus.zip mentioned above doesn't move cerberus in bootloader.. it just installs it in system/app so it can't be removed by factory reset. You can do the same by moving the cerberus apk from data/app to /system/app.
It's impossible to use a bootloader partition to run an app... as the bootloader is just a partition to.. boot the phone and choose which partition will be launched after (recovery, fastboot on some phones, normal booting, download mode and so on). After that bootloader is out of the loop and can't be even read from a running system.

I forgot what folder to go into, but I know it's somewhere in the data partition. I'll jump back on stock and try to find what file you need to delete to get it working.

I never used titanium backup, should work.
The way I do it is with a root browser (like Smanger or Rom toolbox lite)
I'll tell you how do it with smanger app
With smanger go to this folder
data/data/com.lge.lockscreensettings
Inside com.lge.lockscreensettings folder is two files
wallpaper.png (might be named something else) & wallpaper_land.png
Delete both of those png files.
Afterwards you will be able to pick a custom lock screen background.
Wooooow i am very grateful woow bro thanks!!!!
