Finally Rooted Neo L - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Guys i have attached the kernel ftf file of neo L.
So people who are all having neo L can easily root their device.
Steps To Root
Let me clear you guys..
First goto developer setting and turn on usb debugging.
Now in setting->Xperia->connectivity Change usb mode as MSC.
Now turn off device.
Download MT11i_4.1.A.0.562_kernel.ftf from here http://www.mediafire.com/?gwe739kn5mcx56t..
Now flash ur neo L with the above kernel and power on.
You'll only get vibration but screen does'nt turns on.
But still usb debugging'll be working.
Now download DooMLoRD_v1_Xperia-2011-ICS-ROOT-emu-busybox-su frm here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1601038.
Next connect ur device and simply run runme.bat.
Now your device will be rooted.
Finally remove and reinsert your battery and flash Neo L 4.0.4 Kernel.ftf from this thread.
All Done..

Probably the same as for other Xperia 2011 devices, flash kernel from 4.0.3 then root and then flash kernel from 4.0.4 again.
For the 4.0.3 kernel you should probably use kernel from Xperia ray or neo V, not sure I do not have a neo L.

Why so difficult?
Flash kernel from 4.0.3 with wiping all and no final verification, niw you are on android 4.0.3, then root, then the OTA,, now you are on rooted 4.0.4 and then install cwm recovery and then... You're done !!

It will be the same concept to flash neo V kernel to neo L. Neo L is different device than neo V. It seems that the neo L is more similar to Xperia play than to neo. It seems that xperia play can boot neo L ICS image fine, just gamepad not working.

so what are the real steps for rooting do i need like cwm or something? Or will like a one-click root come out for the neo L? I have the neo L but will ask noob questions cuz i used to own a htc wildfire s

I tried both Neo V and Play kernels.. The screen goes black after the kernel, so I have to use doomlord's easy rooting method.
That is when the read-only file system errors comes, when I am running bootme.bat.
Any suggestions?

THANK YOU!!!

Sorry.. But how..
I think There is no 4.0.3 kernel for Neo L since the device came up with 4.0.4.
And if we use other device's 4.0.3 kernel then the screen will not work, only usb debugging works ,then how
to do OTA....?
So i uploaded this kernel only ftf for Neo L in this thread..

Xperia Revelation HD is also for 2011 Xperia devices as side project. This is a Xperia Jelly Bean ( 4.1.2 ) style custom ROM for all 2011 Xperia HDPI devices. It's based on stock ICS 4.0.4 - 4.1.B.0.587. This ROM is fast, stable, smooth ever and integrated Xperia Jelly Bean lockscreen into main ROM. I recommended 100 % no bootloop issue after you performed factory reset. Do you know what's features on this ROM ?. I have included some Jelly Bean features such like Google Now, Adreno JB drivers that made it smoother as silk and Easter Eggs. So, It has more features from Sony such as Walkman, Album and Movies that I included on this ROM also I've tried to implement some apps from Xperia T Jelly Bean and still included some apps from Xperia S/T and V, So, another one is Xperia Z style framework and themes that I integrated this to make looks like Xperia Z or Xperia Jelly Bean. Do you want to know this performance ? It's tweaked, better battery life, perfect multitasking and RAM management is raised. If you install it, I'll give you some options in AROMA. choose stuffs that you want or accorded from your devices. Let's INSTALL !!! YOU'LL TASTE SUCH AS XPERIA Z or IF YOU WANT TO UPDATE INTO JELLY BEAN OFFICIALY FROM 2011 XPERIA LINE UP !!!, GOOD LUCK !!!

Xperia Z1 Honami ROM Question

Since I can't post yet to the developer's section, I decided to make a thread about this new ROM by saqib nazm. I'm a big fan of his custom ROMs. I just want to ask if this ROM can also be used with Xperia Neo L. It says on the OP of your thread that you need to be on stock ICS 4.1.B.0.587 or 4.1.B.1.13 Firmware and since Neo L has one of the official firmwares (which is .587), I was wondering if I can install this also on my device. I remember having problems when I tried to install one of your custom ROMs which is Revolution ICS HD even if Neo L is part of the aroma installer. If this can't be installed with Neo L, is it also possible if you can port this to Neo L or Xperia Play, since XPlay ROMs work on Neo L. Thanks
i have a question too.

Hello guys,
I have a quesiton.
Do you know where to find, which version of this ROM I am using in my phone ? I mean if it is professional or exlusive or extreme. I have Xperia mini pro.
And I can give you the build number if it helps : 14.1.g.1.263
One more thing.
This ROM was working really well for me. But last trhee weeks it is starting to act weird. Mainly when I am trying to call someone or somebody is calling me. The phone will reset on its own. Well this is not happening on each call. But it is annoying.
Do you think is time to re-install the ROM ? As I am using this ROM for really a long time maybe from November or October 2013.
Thank you for your help.
Have a nice day

Not Getting WiFi on any ICS Rom on Neo V

I'm Having kinda weird problem. The story is yesterday i was on Mikeys Cm10.1 and i was bored with it so i thought to install any ICS Rom so i installed Xperia T Rom by Zohaib with Lupus Kernel v8 from Arc section with its Neo V patch but problem was its Neo V patch was buggy. so after installation of that Rom i got invert camera on my Neo V so i thought that there is nothing sense to keep this buggy Xperia T Rom and i changed Rom to UHD 4.0 with same previous Lupus v8 kernel & after installation UHD 4.0 i see that my Phone not detecting my WiFi which is in my House. so i tried nightelf 1.5 Full kernel but still not working WiFi also tried Suave v6 kernel with Stock ICS WiFi modules but still my WiFi not worked so i again changed Rom to Cm10.1 of Mike & what i see my WiFi is Working fine on mikes Cm10.1 so again i changed Rom to New Xperia Z1 Honami(ICS) ROM by with Suave Kernel & Stock ICS WiFi Modules to check if WiFi is working or not but on Xperia Z1 Honami(ICS) ROM again my WiFi is not working so it means My WiFi is only working on Jelly Bean(Mikes Cm10.1)Rom but not working on any ICS Rom
So if anyone expert here plz Help me :silly:

[Q] "Xperia Overlay" Download Links for Neo V?

I wanted to download and flash "Xperia Overlay" firmware on my Xperia Neo V:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2799730
www.xperiaoverlay.com
But the links in the main thread lead to 404 pages and I can't post in that original thread due to new account restrictions.
Anyone can tell me where I can download latest Xperia Overlay firmware for my device?

Hye, Thanks! I will flash this on weekend. I hope this is the latest available version? Is there any list of known issues?
OK, so I installed Xperia_Overlay_1_A_9_4_14_42_MT11i.zip version.
I also found an OTA update ZIP from somewhere. Can I install the OTA Update ZIP using same method? (Going into CWM and selecting the OTA ZIP?)
Sorry if this is a noob question, but I'm flashing a custm ROM first time, so plz bear with me.
There is a link for sony xperia neo (mt15) ?

Thanks for the answer.
The firmware is fast and stable. I'm sorry that the next version costs so much
