Wasn't able to find a solid answer in the dev forums or anywhere else, has anyone tried flashing the Phantom Blazer ROM on Rogers using the i747M? Also, if you have, is there any loss of network quality/network speeds after flashing? Phone is rooted and CWM is loaded and ready to go; just waiting for the right ROM to flash and there isn't much information about any Canadian carriers. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks!

i successfully flashed the rom yesterday... first time with the gingerbread... was just using froyo, but i can't find a radio that will give me a network signal, all i could get was wifi? Need help
now i've downloaded a bunch of different radios... and when i add them to my root on the scard, and try to flash in bootloader.... or in cwr, it aborts and doesn't work. So i can't even see if any of these work. Thoughts please?
I ru no this pa really a question to be posted on the android development forum, not in the general area.
But as opposed to your question why not just give the new one a try. The 605.9 radio that came out mid December?
Sent from my HTC ThunderBolt using XDA App
well... somewhat embarassing... but i figured out what was wrong. I just bought a macbook pro, which automatically de-compresses files when downloaded (radios, roms etc) so to even try to put them on the phone, i had to compress again, before. Didn't work. I just tried downloading the 605.9 radio from my pc when i got home....and it flashed no problem. THE GB ROM LIVES!!! Thx for the response though.. there's a great amount of knowledge here... i'm a rookie but am taking in quite a bit from the pro's! Thx
i can't find a radio that will give me a network signal, all i could brush into 2.11.605.9 + PG05IMG.zip did not change Need help
Quick question for all of you.
Is anybody having a problem with getting a 3G/4G connection with the Rogers P7500 stock rom that is on HC 3.2?
Just recently flashed to this rom and haven't been able to get a wireless signal. I am in an area where there is perfect signal yet still no internet connection.
The rom link can be found by searching on the forum site but unfortunately am not able to post the link.
Any help will be great.
Thanks
Well you definately flashed the wrong rom, cause i'm on stock 3.2 here, on a Rogers Tab.. and there's only one canadian 3.2 GTab rom anyway; RUXKK2
Cant help much more as long as you dont provide any clue on which rom was flashed.
I have been searching around, and I have seen a Bell ROM and Rogers, but no Telus. If someone could find me the Telus ROM and prefer it rooted, that would be awesome.
Thanks for your help.
You really haven't been searching hard then.. I found this by searching 'telus root' in the dev section in like 30 seconds . I knew about it cause I used it to restore to stock by flashing the stock telus kernel over it.
anyways good luck
[ROOT]For TELUS Note (i717D) - No Flash Counter
Thanks, but I did use the search, and many times using terms like telus odin, telus rom, telus stock rom, etc... anyways, I missed it, thanks
Hi,
I have purchased an International S3 and am going to use it on AT&T. I have read through the forums and feel pretty confident about rooting my phone. My question(s) is:
1. Do I need to flash a new ROM to make the most out of AT&T's network, or will the stock ROM work just fine?
2. If its recommended to use a custom ROM which should I use for best compatibility with AT&T? If I must use custom I would like one as close to stock as possible.
Thank you for any/all replies.
Noob-Tard
bumping for great justice!
Anyone?
If this has been cover already please post a link to that thread.
ATT OMEGA 7.0 phone won't turn on anymore
I tried to load Omega 7.0 on my ATT S3 and everything went well until the reboot part. The screen went black and my phone isn't able to turn on now. Any advise would be great. Thanks
Sounds like you have the US version
Sounds like you have the US version, I have the international version but thanks for the info either way.
Anyone have any advice for the best radio for use on AT&T on the I9300? I'm on the latest official stock build taking only OTAs so far, but my signal strength seems worse on this phone than others I've used in the past. (Figured I'd check before I start flashing/testing for a few days)
thread closed. choosing roms is a personal thing. what is best for one person (and phone) may not be best for someone else. the best advice is to try a few.
Hey Guys. I just wanted add this information here to make it easier for other Virgin customers. You can root your Virgin SGH-I747M by using the Bell ODIN tar file in the following thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426. The first post in this page also give you information on installing CWM. I used the CWM that works on all SG3 variants and have no issues so far or trip my flash counter.
For custom roms, you can install anything that is OK for Bell. Virgin and Bell have pretty much the exact same firmwares which is why there isn't a separate thread for Virgin phones. If it works on Bell, it will work on Virgin. I am currently using kyanROM 1.12 and it flashed without tripping the flash counter. I will try other roms and see how it goes.
This is just to help those who are searching around but cannot seem to find the answers. If you have issues with flashing or any other roms, you should get in touch with the developers and they will be able to help you. This is just to give you my experience of what I have done so far and my results. As always, search before posting. Good luck guys and practice safe and smart flashing
