Anyone know if my EVO LTE will work in Bermuda?
Check sprints coverage map. Call sprint. If it's international roaming your gonna be charged out the ass

I have the EVO LTE and was wondering if there was anyway to roam on Verizon's LTE. They have coverage in my area and it would be nice to use it

None of the carriers have roaming agreements for their highspeed data that I know of. I'm not sure if sprint and verizon use the same frequency for their LTE either.
Sprint uses 1900MHz frequency while Verizon uses 700MHz. So we won't be able to roam on their lte.

OK. Thanks for the responses guys!
I love this phone! (EVO 4G LTE)
Ok I'm from Orlando, and have a HTC EVO 3D flash to metroPCS with current working 3G. I also have a true metroPCS Samsung Admire also with 3G. My point is I went to Tampa for training and my HTC EVO down graded to 1x and my Samsung Admire was still in 3G this happen while in Tampa. I power cycle my HTC EVO and still booted on 1x got back to Orlando and my HTC was back on 3G. Is anyone having similar issues in Tampa with HTC evo? Or can this be metroPCS Tampa is using 3G AWS channel. And HTC EVO don't support it. Let me know guys if I'm correct. Thanks

I can respond as you can see from my profile on the left. I get 1x more now than I used to. I assumed it may be the new Prl. I don't go to Orlando except to drive through to Daytona, so I can't compare.

Yeah but what's funny the Samsung Admire has AWS band built-in and HTC EVO doesn't. Both phones are on latest PRL 3029

i am located in iowa, and sprint had advised to me the 4g should be available in SOME AREAS . "this was back with my old htc evo 4g" so i tried everywhere and there was only one spot it was located, next to our jail. just plain retarded , who wants to connect to 4g in that area . and i also could only connect every now and then .
Put the phone in air plane mode, wait a minute. Then turn air plane mode off.. Welcome to the EVO LTE

No. It's all or nothing.
There's no way to make my phone roam onto sprints data or anything?
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D
Roaming disables 4g automatically.
Not that I really think this is possible/legal... But they're two different radios... And last I remember while living in a 4g area I was able to roam voice on Verizon while still connected to 4g. Though I don't remember if that was through forced roaming or the Verizon Perl.

Verizons 4g is different than the sprint wimax 4g that we have on our 3vos. But there is a way to get 4g working. Do you have sprint ???? Or boost/vrgnmobile???

Right now I'm using clearwire as my internet provider I get great wimax service where I live not one bit of lte.... I know its going to take time but is there a time frame when clears wimax unlimited will be shut down. I have a feeling they will make me switch to lte when available and I will loose my unlimited internet.

LTE is still being rolled out. They'll keep Wimax networks up for at least a couple more years.

If a tower is already providing wimax, and they install lte will they take the wimax away from that tower at the same time. Or keep both running off the same tower I live in the fort worth area so it shouldn't be to much longer to turn on all the fort worth area with lte.

They'll both concurrently run for a time. But, it will evidently be turned into a pure LTE tower. I would figure they'd give you a heads up if you have a device it'd affect by the time they do it.
