First install Font Changer from the market.
Once installed, open Font Changer from your app drawer once so that the .fontchanger folder will be created on the sdcard.

CAUTION: Some fonts will not be completely compatible with your phone.
I am not responsible for you causing problems to your phone. You take all the risk in doing this.
Default Android Font
View attachment Android-ICS-4-Roboto.zip
Download your font(s) to your computer.
Unzip Font on the computer.
Plug your phone into your computer and choose Media Sync.
Once prompted on computer, choose Open Device to View Files.
Then Double click phone
Double click .fontchanger
Drag and drop new font (needs to be the ttf file extension)
On phone, change back to charge only.
Go to the Font Changer app.
The app will find your new font.
Tap on new font you want installed and then click Apply.
Then you will get a Reboot prompt. I could not get the prompt to work, so I backed out of the app and then I rebooted with the power button.
Once rebooted, your new font will be installed!!
Do you know which fonts you can change wirhout sending phone into bootloop i got most of mine changed just cant get things like bold or italicised fonta to take the new fonts and anytime i try adjusting the ones i think it is i bootloop

i am not sure. ive tried a few and some are not completely compatible. so far, the ones ive changed to, have not caused a boot loop.
Thanks, but I'll stick to the easiest way without having to worry about bootloops. Use Romtoolbox by jrummy install font reboot done! Huge selection of fonts too

no worries. yes, ive used rom toolbox. but the site in the op has much much more chooses!
You dont have to use a comp to just dl the fonts you know just use es to unzip onto the sd card then in romtoolbox search for fonts on sd card and in font changer or w e its called just move the .ttf to the folder the app created for fonts so all that extra work with the comp is unnessecary
Tux approves of my EVO
I also prefer the rom toolbox way but i was wandering under preferances which fonts it was safe to change i.e. droidsans bold or roboto italic things like that i figured out most like i said just having a tough time with the others.....oh well maybe ill play around with it and figure it out

Thanks for the info! had a question, do you have to be rooted? Thanks again!

I really like the way the Navbar is made on this rom..
I myself do not have the graphic-skille to make something like this, so hopefully someone else have??

lol, ok, I did a quick job by pulling graphic files from mytouch 3g slide sense. Just download the zip, unzip it, then replace these files with ones in com.htc.resources.apk/res/drawable-port-mdpi
Drawable-port-mdpi
I'm not sure how it's look, maybe you could post a screenshot
Yep, as it turns out, you don't even have to bother resizing some images... as it is with battery, navbar, lockscreen...system just resizes them automatically...
of course it's a good Idea to conserve space...
use adw launcher and search for espresso theme in market

Just tried to replace the files in the original .apk - putting it all in a zip-file (not signed since I'm on S-OFF) but it just brings me to bootloop
I'm not entirely sure, but I think running apk's still have to be signed...correct me If I'm wrong...

I've never signed framework apk files. What I did is :
1. Open apk file with winrar, leave it.
2. Open folder window that includes necessary files.
3. Drag and drop file from (2) to (1) for replacing or something else.
4. Push apk files back to /system/framework/
Benefits:
- No need to extract apk files.
- No need to re-zip.
- No need to sign.

Now it worked.. Only "bug" is now, that the indicator of which homescreen used is still a "bow"... Is there any way to either get rid of that or to edit it..?

did you place the full-stop in front of fontchanger? if you dont, it wont find it for some reason.
Also, are you unzipping the zip file? you have to place the .ttf files in the .fontchanger folder.

Remember, you can change the density to 180 if you find it a little small for u, it works great for me
This is just a stock sense battery w/o the percentage. I only made this cause I worry about my phone battery A LOT and battery percentage makes it worse for me and I wondered if other people felt the same, so I'm sharing it here. It's really not much so don't criticize or talk crap about it. Just for those iffy people who HATE battery percentages. Enjoy!
Installation Process
- Unzip files into a folder called battery.
- Go into cmd enter " cd C:\AndroidSDK\tools "
- Then enter " adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk "
- Open the .apk file w/winRAR
- Go to res>drawable-hdpi
- Drag contents from the "Battery Folder" into drawable-hdpi
- Now, put framework-res.apk into SDK tools folder and " adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework "
- Enjoy

I found it but root explorer won't allow me to access the framework-res.apk...it won't allow me to paste them there, only options available for the framework apk are install, view and cancel when pressed.

Hello all.
I found some boot animations that I really liked, so I decided to port them for our Atrix.
All credits go to Dysgenic for creating these (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905538). I just changed the values in desc.txt
Also thanks to CaelanT for showing a noob how to zip these correctly
I tested most of these on stock 2.3.4 , so let me know if anyone has problems getting them to work on another rom.
Rename the files as "bootanimation.zip" and place them in /system/media. You can do this with ADB or a file explorer like root explorer.. or if you are cheap ass like me ES File explorer. /system must be mounted as writable to be able to write to the correct location.
Personally I do this.
1. Place bootanimation.zip on sdcard.
2. open ES file explorer. Go to Settings> Check mount /system as writable.
3. Cut bootanimation.zip
4. Paste in /system/media. Click ok to overwrite old boot animation
5. Reboot
Enjoy!

I personally got it from absolute system tool. The developer is always adding and updating. You can change Res and fps. Its 2 bucks in the market and you can choose from over 200 boot animations.
I'm having a weird problem changing my bootanimation on my atrix. It has android 2.3.4 and I have rooted it and am using super manager file explorer to copy and paste from /sdcard to /system/media but when i reboot i only get a blank screen in place of where the bootanimation should have shown. The phone does boot up all the way and does work properly but when it is supposed to show the bootanimation.zip the screen just stays blank.. i even copied back the original but it still wont work. weird... any ideas?? I also tried "bootanimation utility - lite" from the market but still same issue..
discovered in making your own bootanimation.zip file that you dont use any compression on the zip file. thats why it wasnt running.. the zip file is just a "store"..
My favorite is still this one:

+1 for this. I had the same issue with it. I'm using Ubuntu to zip my file and I think that was the issue. Gonna try it on a virtual machine to see if that's what the issue is. I'll be sure to share it when I'm done. It's a nice simple Scott Pilgrim animation for all you fans out there.

I'd like the red and white icon to replace the plain grayish icon in the notification bar when I get new email (gmail).

Yes. But that opens another issue because notifications have a dark tint when you add color to them.

I take no responsibility for any harm that may come to your phone trying this.
You must be rooted for this to work
check out the links at the bottom on this post for ninjamorph stuff
****The new image must be the same size as the old image for this to work****
I was able to get the notification changed using ninjamorph and rootexplorer.
1. rename your image stat_notify_email.png
2. Open ninjamorph and start a new project.
3. go to data/app/com.google.android.gm-1.apk
4. When you click it, it should extract the folder.
5. On the next screen click copy it(lower right corner).
It should tell you where the copy was saved. For me it was on my phone storage in androidthemes/workspace
From there i went to rootexplorer( you could also do this part on your computer).
1. open androidthemes/workspace/com.google.android.gm-1.apk/res
2. Locate these file:
drawable-hdpi,
drawable-mdpi,
drawable-sw600dp-hdpi,
drawable-sw600dp-mdpi,
drawable-sw600dp-xhdpi,
drawable-xhdpi
3. This may just be an extra step but i went through each of these files and added .bak to the end of each original image so it looked like this: stat_notify_email.png.bak (this will keep the original as a backup in the folder).
4. Copy/paste the new image named stat_notify_email.png into each of these folders.
If you don't rename the files when you paste you will just replace the original.
5. Once you have placed the image in all the file you will go back to ninjamorph and click finish project.
6. Click the com.google.android.gm-1.apk
7. It will then create package
8. It will ask if you are sure you want to replace the .apk....click yes
9. It will ask if you want to optimize using zipalign...click yes
10. It will ask if you want to clean up/delete project...Click yes or no(up to you)
11. Once it is done, reboot phone and it should have the new notification icon but it will have a dark tint from the notification bar.
I have not done that much with ninjamorph so there probably is a shorter way to do all this.
Here are a couple links to using ninjamorph:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uD0o52typs
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=674604
http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/d...ninjamorph-change-notification-bar-icons.html
Hopefully this works for you.
Excellant write up for those wantign to try some of this..
