Hello,
I'm having this issue with the camera which all the time resets itself to the default settings.
It only happens with the shortcut settings, I constantly add to the shortcut "exposure level" + "Focus mode" and everytime single time I'm opening the camera app I get the default shortcuts. For Instance the if I change the MP resolution or picture quality it will remember changes.
I'm using Wanamlite 1.8 + Phenomenal 2.0 Medium
Any suggestions? :good:
Thanks!

SpoonTorch - Fullscreen torch application
Introduction
Does your phone or PDA not have an external light on it? Do you want to use your phone's screen as a light?
This app lets you quickly create a white screen to use as a torch.
Features
* Single tap of the screen to make the whole screen turn white. Tap again for the menu. (v1.17 closes the app)
* Switching to fullscreen, backscreen brightness is set to maximum. Old settings are restored when fullscreen is exited.
* Minimise to program menu. So you can quickly switch between this and Windows Mobile itself, without closing the app.
* Lightweight application. Fast loading: no graphical effects or sounds.
Version History
v1.0 13/11/09 - Initial release
v1.1 14/11/09 - Backlight booster for fullscreen
v1.11 15/11/09 - Backlight maximum taken from registry
- Backlight timeout disabled in fullscreen
- (this setup file was incorrectly named v1.2)
v1.12 15/11/09 - Disable power save in fullscreen
v1.13 15/11/09 - When another application takes over fullscreen, brightness is reduced to normal
- Enter key toggles fullscreen (in-app hot-key)
v1.14 15/11/09 - Read the registry to make sure values already exist
v1.15 16/11/09 - Set torch to always use white and not theme background colour
- Save low-res torch icon without alpha channel to save space
- Added icon to main screen
v1.16 19/11/09 - Automatically starts in fullscreen
v1.17 06/12/09 - Tap screen closes app - no toggling
note:I update little and often. dont be surprised if I update a lot, then go quiet!
Requirements
* Needs .NET Compact Framework 3.5+.
* Should work on all Windows Mobile 5 and above devices.
* Non-touchscreen compatible (Windows Mobile Standard).

Thanks for bringing that to my attention, I did some googling and searching on here, but I didn't try hard enough
The only feature that app supports, is different colour screens - which I'll add to the next version.
My app supports tapping the screen to go fullscreen (providing even more light than Flashlight), as well as quick minimising (so it runs in the background when you dont need it). I'll add these details to the first post.
Thanks
thanks for this app, it's possible to set backlight to max power when launched and restored to previous setting when minimized ?
+1 for this. if You'll manage to make it change the brightness to the max in full screen and then to restore it back to what it was in the menu, then for me this app is a winner. I personally don't really care bout different colors, but proper bright white light is something great.
keep up the good work!
thanks
Thanks bronx and calcop.
Yes, I noticed the same thing when at the cinema today using this app.
I will try and get powersaving screen brightness to be turned on/off.
Edit: found it! It's a really easy regkey tweak... new version coming soon.

i have searched a program who can do it but i never find it
Version 1.1 is uploaded. Now sets brightness to maximum in fullscreen mode. Reverts back on exit.
Could You make it mappable to hotkey so with single button You could get the white fullscreen? Or is it already?
now it is just great, works exactly as it should. thanks again.
thanks for the release

Actually Flashlight IS a fullscreen app. It also does Morse code (very useful) and various flashing different patterns (fairly useless).
But, there is definitely no harm in having two of the same type of apps. Especially one that is being actively worked on. I might request that you make the ability to have a customizable scrolling message or one that shows up when you wave the phone back and forth.
Looks awesome. Thank you.
unfortunately on my blackstone(WM6.1) the backlight level doesn't change
Thanks for the usefull app
Thanks for the feedback guys.
I'll see if I can add a global hotkey, should be pretty easy.
New version is out now (see first post) - this is better at setting the backlight, and stops the light timeout while in fullscreen.
If you had problems with the last version, try this.
@nagrom
the morse code didnt work for me... in my HD the keyboard didnt pop up... and the brightnes didnt change to max
@dotnecoder
something funny happen... when i went to fullscreen my brightness went to min...
i am using htc hd.
hope you fix it soon... and if you add the morse code or the scrolling text it will be great.

Ah, I think I know what could be causing that - if the setting for max brightness isnt in your registry, it will go to zero I'll fix that in the next version.
Edit: uploaded a new version which should fix your problem.

Hi! Really old thread but did you ever solve this? I have the same problems. But to me it's not only the shortcuts, the camera always resets to default settings so I always have to change iso and flash.

Yes I read that on another forum. I guess it's a "feature".
Hi guys, when I open the Internet app, the display turns into a cyan/blue tone...how is it possible??
Press on settings button (left soft key) -> Coulours -> Default.
Thats it! Most probably you have your phone on Level1/2/3, thats why is cyan.
I can't fint this setting! If you mean the display mode in general settings of the device it is on "Default", but I can't find any colour setting in the internet app!

No no no, open your internet app, and press the left soft key and will pop up a list and you should have colours/brightness and put it on default.
I have attached a picture with the left soft key in a red square
Yes, I know which is the left soft key ùAnyway, there is only brightness setting, not colour
These are two screenshots of the settings I have (in the gallery the colours of th screenshot are ok, not cyan/blue....very strange)
PS: it's in italian
I solved the problem!!
It depends by power save settings...I have the "Background colour" option active

Thats great you solved it. The setting on the internet app is in your case brightness , and there you have a default , and another 3 levels, on any of those levels screen becomes cyan .
Another thing... why do you use power saving? Doesn't help with saving battery really and makes your phone lag.
Is it?? It doesn't save battery?? :'(

No, not really. You can read around about that power saving, in most cases makes phone lag and everyone complains about. You can choose your screen brightness the best which suits you and don't leave it on auto. You can adjust many things to save more battery.
Thank you very much!!
I have Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2. and have not rooted (and don't intend to do so). I decided to buy Camera Zoom FX apps (was on sale). I think it's better (though a bit slow at times) and more versatile. I wanted to make it my default camera app and there was on option for that in the app's settings. However, when I try to quick access the camera via lock screen by tapping and rotating, the stock camera app is opened. Doesn't this mean that the default camera app is still the stock camera app?
I've tried to solve this issue by reading the forums. Some people are saying that after I have selected Camera Zoom FX as default camera app in the app's settings, Jelly Bean should ask me to select the default camera app when I open the camera app. It does not do so. The other solution mentioned was to go Settings -> Application Manager -> All and the choose the camera app and tap "Clear defaults". However, this option is greyed out/disabled and cannot be tapped.
Could this all mean that without rooting Jelly Bean does not give the user the option to change the default camera app?
Help would be appreciated.
you might try this

i dont know this might work or not but you could try disabling the default camera from settings>apps>all apps> camera>force stop and then disable
since you phone isnt rooted this only the best which you could do
I suggest you put the Camera Zoom Fx on you lockscreen and launch it directly from there. Samsungs hold-rotate feature is a sure fire way of eventually dropping your phone.
I have 3 cameras on my lockscreen. Stock, Camera FV-5 and HDR Pro.
Hello, I picked up my device and upgraded to 12.5.5 EU rom with regular OTA. Couple of questions where I couldn't find answers with Google.
1. Stock camera app does not remember the setting for 4K30 in Video settings. I select 4K30 but next time I open the app the setting goes back to 1080p30. Anyone has this issue?
2. Is there a way to set Google Photos as default photo app in stock camera app instead of Gallery?
3. I use app drawer but the phone keeps adding newly installed apps to the home screen. There was a toggle for this but couldn't find it in settings. Any ideas?
So far seems like a nice device. Good size and lightweight. I will install BSG Gcam on it but I still would like to use Stock camera for videos.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Also make sure battery optimization is on and app not allowed to run in background (unless needed of course). Some apps/processes are also called by other apps. Ultimately root is the way to go if you want full control.
Hello, manisa 236!
First I want to apologize for my English. I am still learning it. In this post I will try to answer some of your questions.
1. Stock camera app does not remember the setting for 4K30 in Video settings. I select 4K30 but next time I open the app the setting goes back to 1080p30. Anyone has this issue?
Open the stock camera app and go to settings, scroll down and activate "Save previous mode" slider.
2. Is there a way to set Google Photos as default photo app in stock camera app instead of Gallery?
I don't know it that is possible.
3. I use app drawer but the phone keeps adding newly installed apps to the home screen. There was a toggle for this but couldn't find it in settings. Any ideas?
Go to "Settings --> Home screen" and open the inside menu cold again "Home screen" and at the bottom of this menu you shall see the option "Place new apps on the Home screen" toggle. Just disable it.
Greetings from Spain!
Thank you very much for your answers. In camera app Save Previous Mode remembers the shooting mode (Photo, Video, Portrait etc ) but when I choose 4K30 under Video and open the app next time it still defaults to 1080p30. It looks like a bug.
