Question on root and rom - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hello everyone.
I have an Xperia with ICS .. now I want to hear from you, experts, medoto easier for root and benefits of this. if you can put some roms and if it's worth it!
Thank you!

up

the easiest way is.... use the SEARCH BUTTON or read the STICKIES

I've already read but unlock the bootloader is a mess .. then a curiosity, I still gotta do replace the screen, should I do now or even further?

up

If you have to replace the screen you need warranty for that. If you root your device you will lose your warranty and have to pay for the fix.
So, first go to warranty, fix your device and then root.

[Q] Transformer Prime Root ???

Can anyone tell me if it's worth it to root the Transformer Prime? If so, do all the peripherals on the keyboard dock from your knowledge? Is it possible to overclock the stock ROM when only rooted? I would like to only overclock and possibly use CM9 but if the peripherals on the dock nor tablet(hdmi) don't work, I don't wanna bother with the headaches. Any Ideas!!
To root the prime is simple but to be able to overclock and flash roms you will have to unlock the bootloader. The problem with that is that once you unlock your bootloader it voids your warranty and asus gets ur s/n. Even if there is a way to revert it they still have your s/n so your warranty is still voided. Check this thread out that has user feedback on the unlocking process.
If you just want root permission that will not void your warranty its just an easy step but you need an app to maintain root after you reboot. Hope I helped you and sorry if this is not quite what you were looking for. I have mine rooted but not unlocked so can not tell you about the keyboard functions with cm9. To what I have read there should not be any problems but I cant guarantee it ask this question in the TF201 Q&A forums.

1 yes you can
2 so many do a search
3 no you cant update your phone if it is rooted
3.1 but you can update it by unrooting it temporarily using an app superuser
4 1 rooting will void your warranty
2 do it as clear as per the instructions for rooting else you will soft brick your phone you can unbrick that but take precautions
that's all take a risk friend

2) What does the following terms mean :
A)bootloader?
B)S/off?
C)Lock, relock, unlock?
3) Is it easy to root?
4) Will the fingerprints sensor keep working after I root it?
Thanks in advance
Mate, you need to use search.

Xperia Tablet Z 4G locked on EE with a locked bootloader

Hi guys, first off, I'd like to apologise if this is not the right place for this thread- feel free to move it to the right place if so!
Secondly, I'd like to ask if there's a method for unlocking a bootloader that is locked... do I need to unlock the tablet from the EE carrier first? Or is there another method of doing so?
I tried to root the device for hours on end and nothing managed to work at all!
Any help at all would be appreciated!
Thank you,
Amro

if you have an operator market device, 99% you will not be able to unlock your bootloader.
You can look in Service Menu if your device bootloader is unlockable.
But even if it is not, you can root your device easily, just look for instructions on XDA.
The only thing you won't be able to do with unlockable bootloader is install custom (e.g. CM, FXP) firmwares on your device.

It is possible to ROOT my Z5C without unlock the bootloader ?

Hello guys,
I search on the forum but didn't find the answer for the Z5C.
I just want to know if today, can we root the phone without unlocking the bootloader ?
I mean by that, if it possible to get the root and not lost the DRM Key or other stuff like the quality of the camera ?
Maybe can I use a pre rooted rom with flashtool to get the root and no unlocking my bootloader ?
Thank you guys for answering me
LEthien.

No, never. Z5c is identical to Z5 and Z5P regarding base hardware and software. Sorry, but you did not search enough, 1000th post like this.
