Creating Themes (mods) and ROMs - HTC Rezound

I was wondering if anyone has any, or knows of any resources or literature to learn how to mod and create ROMS. I have just started flashing and have a desire to get more deeply involved. If any devs, or anyone else for that matter can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

[Q] Help for Hire?

Is there anyone out there who will perform a mod on a g-tab for hire and how do I find them?
let us know what the mod is and maybe you can get someone to speak up. If the mod is software based it probably has already been done, and we can point you to resources to help you out.

[Q] Point me to the kitchen?

Howdy All,
Well to cut a long story short, I have broken my leg, rather badly, to the point of minimum 6 months in a wheelchair sort of break. No big deal, it will heal, but I figure it gives me a hell of a lot of downtime, which means I may just have time to get into this cooking thing.
I've found a few guides, but they all seem to be device specific, and reccomend further reading without pointing one in the direction of where to do that reading.
Can any one point me to some resources and get me into the kitchen? Any help would be muchly appreciated!
Cheers,
JD
Really? Not one suggestion?
I'm not asking you to do the work for me, I just need a little help in which direction to head. I'm looking for documentation and resources, and after being elbow deep in google searches, the best I can find is some tool that takes a stock i9000 rom and makes it flashable.
I've been playing with roms for a long while, I've dabbled in coding both with android's bastardised java and a few other languages. I'm not here saying please hold my hand, I'm just wondering how the chefs here got started.
There seems to be a distinct lack of documentation or information to bridge the gap from never having cooked a rom to noob chef. Once I get that under my belt I will have a better idea about what I specifically need to learn more about
This is a community yeah? Surely if that's the case, there's at least some advice for someone who is interested in starting development. Give something back and all? I'm not here to take someone elses work, put some themes on top and release it as my own, I'm genuinely interested in learning more about the OS and understanding what makes these things tick.
I'm sure you all didn't fall off the toilet while hanging a clock and wake later with an understanding of the metaphorical flux capacitor that powers custom ROMS, all I am interested in is how to get started, how did you get started, what should I be reading about?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Its the post topic kitchens are in the Dev section
But you want something different to a kitchen to put together a rom you are looking to learn how to build a rom .The route is probably the XDA developers forum front page .

It is kinda cool looking, but the current stock ICS lockscreen is just as functional - as far as I can tell this would just be for looks.. I mean you get music controls on the lockscreen with the cm music.apk..
I do want to share this little laugh for me, after doing some reading I eventually ended up at this post which uses lmgtfy.com to explain someone's noobyness.. if you don't know what that is you should click this http://lmgtfy.com/?q=how+to+use+diff+patch it is a nicer way of dealing with noobs I used to use it ALL the time..
I will say, if anyone wants this, it would have to be done for EACH rom - but anyone can do it, it isn't hard to learn how to decompile, and the instructions for the patch are pretty straight forward(hint, anyone can learn how to develop or at least contribute something, there are many things with low degrees of difficulty(like this!))
If anyone REALLY likes this, I challenge you to give it a shot to see if you can do it, and maybe give something back to the community!

Well, if you were willing to give it a try, you think you can do it, and you'd be willing to put out a product for the community- I'd be willing to give you pointers if you have issues I can help with, share resources that might help you out..
I'm assuming you have adb fully installed?(Android sdk installed?) Smali and baksmali-1.3.2?(those are for compiling/decompiling) Know how to sign an apk?
A lot of the above can be done thru dsixda's kitchen(easy to find in the development forums) - with the things above and a little reading/tinkering with the instructions in the original thread you posted(basically applying patch, then re-compiling or repacking), you could potentially have something working pretty easily getting it to the point where you can share it for others to use could be harder than doing it itself, but I can definitely help if you get that far. Just make a nandroid before you tinker! Lol.
If you get into the process and get a little stumped on something, send me a pm and I'll help if I can - I'm always willing to help those who are willing to help themselves

[Q] SEAndroid? Adding some security features?

Hi Everyone,
I´m just asking if anyone has either made a SEAndroid for the galaxy s3 or some other high security rom? I don't know enough about development to compile. I would like to develop a rom for high security but wouldn´t know where to start.
So please if you know some apps that work, a rom that has been created, or even advice on how to compile? add in apps? or anything else you think can help.
If you don´t have time to answer pleas don't.
I would love a discussion properly so other people can do it. Even if its just links to all the relevant thing.
Thank you for your time
Cost
Or what would it cost to get someone to do it as i am a novice. Do you think they will have guys to do it on peopleperhour or something?
Im not advertising just if i ask where to find someone all people tell me are the developers here are busy and not give me location.
All the best
Did you ever make any progress with this? This is something I would like to start doing in the near future but I am starting with very little experience.
If any developers are familiar with SEAndroid (http://selinuxproject.org/page/SEAndroid), would/could you explain the process needed to develop/package this for the S3?
Thanks!

Help finding developers for custom Android skin

Hi guys,
I'm thinking about a project where I would need a custom skin for android developed as I want to target a specific group of people with a very easy and simplified version of android like what they do for some linux distributions for elderly people.
I need to understand how feasible this is to go forward with the idea of developing a very custom skin. Even though it will be a very simple interface it might require quite a lot of working and testing. The idea is to choose a hardware base for this what will be consistent across the board.
Could you guys point me in the right direction please?
has anyone ever done something like this?
