Help finding developers for custom Android skin - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I'm thinking about a project where I would need a custom skin for android developed as I want to target a specific group of people with a very easy and simplified version of android like what they do for some linux distributions for elderly people.
I need to understand how feasible this is to go forward with the idea of developing a very custom skin. Even though it will be a very simple interface it might require quite a lot of working and testing. The idea is to choose a hardware base for this what will be consistent across the board.
Could you guys point me in the right direction please?

has anyone ever done something like this?

New to Development

Hi everyone,
I've been looking into getting into the Android Smartphone family for a while now and recently picked up the Sony xperia X10 from Rogers.
Id like to help out with development on this phone but I understand we have yet to crack the bootloader in order to run our own custom rom, if Im not mistaken the problem that we are facing right now is finding a way to crack the 1024 bit key used to the sign the original SE rom?
Getting this key would be vital in signing our own version of the rom and tricking the bootloader into letting us through?
I've read about rooting the phone, although I have yet to do it(as im trying to read up on all the current research but there are many threads) before I start trying to develop
I recently graduated with Computer Science and would really like the experience in mobile development, so Im wondering if someone can point me in the right direction maybe a thread I may have missed or overlooked to some tools that can be used into getting any dumps that we need , or a general area to start reading and feeling out the lower levels of this phone.
At any rate id definitely like to try to contribute to a solution, maybe even help in finding an alternate way in booting a custom rom
Thanks in advance

Hello,
When you say you would like some experience in mobile development, do you mean specifically low level stuff like cracking or circumventing the bootloader, or general android development including apps?
If you are interested in programming on the android platform, heres a great resource:

Hi James,
Yes I do mean helping with cracking/circumventing the bootloader, I can do android app development with minimal problems as I do a lot of java projects for my current job and so I've been playing around in the android platform and seem to have gotten the hang of things pretty well but that site will be an excellent resource thanks.
Im just going through the custom dev link before your post, trying to see where I can start poking around for the bootloader

Creating Themes (mods) and ROMs

I was wondering if anyone has any, or knows of any resources or literature to learn how to mod and create ROMS. I have just started flashing and have a desire to get more deeply involved. If any devs, or anyone else for that matter can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

[Q] SEAndroid? Adding some security features?

Hi Everyone,
I´m just asking if anyone has either made a SEAndroid for the galaxy s3 or some other high security rom? I don't know enough about development to compile. I would like to develop a rom for high security but wouldn´t know where to start.
So please if you know some apps that work, a rom that has been created, or even advice on how to compile? add in apps? or anything else you think can help.
If you don´t have time to answer pleas don't.
I would love a discussion properly so other people can do it. Even if its just links to all the relevant thing.
Thank you for your time
Cost
Or what would it cost to get someone to do it as i am a novice. Do you think they will have guys to do it on peopleperhour or something?
Im not advertising just if i ask where to find someone all people tell me are the developers here are busy and not give me location.
All the best
Did you ever make any progress with this? This is something I would like to start doing in the near future but I am starting with very little experience.
If any developers are familiar with SEAndroid (http://selinuxproject.org/page/SEAndroid), would/could you explain the process needed to develop/package this for the S3?
Thanks!

[Q] Android to Android VPN... for your Health!

Maybe you guys can help me out here; my research is pulling up nothing.
As the title states, I'm looking for an Android to Android VPN? I've always been able to check on my kids computer activity when needed with PhoneMyPC (and mitigate a few bad situations), but with tablets being used there's no way to see what they do. Overly cautious parent comments and anti-spy hate aside, this is something I feel is extremely beneficial.
Anyone know of one that's good? Is there one out there that's useable? Gurus, is it even possible?
I greatly appreciate any help on this topic.
